I bought a 2014 E550 and stage 1 tuned it. Way more power than I can use. I was lucky to get it in the same extremely clean condition. Added AMG wheels and kit. Couldn’t be happier.
Nice purchase and modifications! I'm extremely impressed with this 4.6 TT V8 even in stock form. I bet that 700 lb-ft with the tune is a blast. I'd love to pickup an ML with this motor in it.
@@supadave41 I've always wanted to do it but unsure of it all the same...is mileage an issue or will they not tune one if the mileage is up there, I've had my car for awhile and can't help but to drive it even when I don't need to lol
You are right Brian. The power level is PLENTY. For comparison, a friend had a 2014 C63 AMG, 6.2L N/A. Fast car. He also had a 2013 CLS550. Went for a ride in both so I could compare back to back. The CLS was WAY faster. I was blow away. I asked myself how this is possible? My vision got blurry during the 3rd gear pull. The CLS550 is not an AMG. Both cars were completely stock. Now, the fuel mileage on the CLS550 was just as impressive as the power/acceleration; 6.5L/100 kms highway or 36 mpg. I am not sure why your car gets such low mileage highway. Perhaps the Canadian spec CLS550 has a slightly different tune??? He was thinking of tuning it but discovered the stock turbos run of "gas" at higher rpm, so he would need to upgraded turbos as well, which he didn't want to do. Also, his CLS550 was high mileage, close to 200,000 kms or 124,000 miles. Maybe your CLS isn't fully broken in?
This TT 4.6 V8 is incredibly impressive all the way around. Extremely smooth, powerful, efficient, and hardly any turbo lag. Glad that you got to experience it!
I love the 550 models, and will certainly buy one soon. The issue i find is that the 4.7 liter turbo models are much harder to find, so i may have settle for the 5.5 liter V8.

How's the fuel economy with the tune, I have a CLS and I want a little more power for cruising but don't wanna lose any of the normal driveability
@daxkindle5154
Drives the same as stock. Until you put your foot to the floor. Definitely worth tuning

I don't think they ever asked me mileage. As long as you maintain it. Should be good.
What’s the best way to get in touch with you , interested in exploring a SL 55 build
Welcome back w/ New Content 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! 👌👍

@@FisherFAST I made an error; the car I mentioned was a CLS NOT a CL. I corrected my post. Thank you.

Awesome video …are you still doing configurations on SL55’s ?!? 🤔
Thanks Benjamin! I'm still involved in the 55 world but am taking a little break from it currently. Will be back at it in the near future however! 👍
@@FisherFAST Awesome to hear …I’m definitely looking forward to working with you on an SL55, keep me posted 👍🏽
