Thoughtful people take their time and use their resources to put out tutorials and idioits come and insult and disrespect them just because they can. This is sad. Do these idiots ever think about how much time and resources it takes to put out this materials? Please make constructive criticisms and not condem or disrespect others just because you disagree with them.
Keep up the good job mahalo bro.
Thanks so much, as this has really helped me get the feel for the piece. Lots of good wishes for you.
I think I've just found what I'll do for the next 3 or 4 weeks ^^
I really love this tutorial I now can utilise all the hours of practise that I have been doing on the major and minor chords thank you pj
Oh wow thank you i'm new to these amazing jazz sounds and this song is great to start off. And what i really like about your tutorials is that there's always another piano above yours to show the keys you are pressing. This is very very helpful!
Of silent spirits and black Suns he played it wrong
genial maestro , genial un millon de gracias !!!
I thought it was Mr. Worldwide himself on the thumbnail 😂😂
I loved it and see myself as probably watching many more of your vids
Thanks for a great tutorial. Nice job on a great tune.
I'm just starting learning this song with your video, Great exlpanation!! Thanks!
Superb tutorial. It's also helpful to see you making mistakes as well because when you're learning you can be very tough on yourself.
flimbambo 🔥🙌🏾✨
Thankyou dear am happy for this learning.
dude, you are brillant explainig this tune! thanks
Great tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you from URUGUAY!! YOU CAN HELP MI A LOT WITH THIS PLAY!! BIG KISS

Al Jerreau and Kurt Elling is the duet you were thinking of, I think. My absolute favorite version of this.
Your videos are great bro! thanks
Nice tutorial, well explained with interesting options.
He’s the best I could find on Take Five tutorial. Thx amn.
A wonderful tutorial especially for those who cannot read music and who simply listen and play. I have loved it. And especially by placing another piano on top of it , you have made it even simpler to learn. I play piano accordion-only the 'amateurish' way- simply to enjoy music ' my way ' ! Thanks for your wonderful effort-please keep it up ! Regards.

Thanks for the lesson, very easy to follow, please keep'em coming. Just subscribed.
very nice tutorial! thank you!
Thank you for the turorial - it helped a lot!
Mto bom! obrigada
Fast progress with this tutorial. Great!
Excellent tutorial
wow, thanks... can't ask for more from a tutorial!
Thanks Mr. Darling for sharing this gr8 info! I appreciate it. I will learn both ways of doing the second part that way can do a buildup and variety. PS Eb is one of my favourite scales and it's great rolling over all those black keys its not so difficult. .@Rob- I thought Brubeck wrote it too, but you are right it was composed by Desmond, but performed by the Dave Brubeck Band. It's usual the case the artist is tagged with the song, i.e. Elvis - Jailhouse Rock etc...
great video
thank you
excellent tutorial dude
Great lesson.
muito bom, very good, top...
you are great, man!!!
Really good!
Excellent tutorial, I played it right away. Many of us mid grade, weekend hacks can handle chords and patterns. Eb, Bb, Db - 7th and diminished sure. I need help with voicing and finger patterns; 'licks' and style. Great piece of educational assistance, no wasted words or time. More from this guy please! Ha!
Alto's Music Lab 🔥🙌🏾😎✨
great tutorial!
nice tutorial maaan its one of my favourite melodies thanks to you i can play it decently ,without having to assemble it myselfs :)
Love this! Thank you! Mahalo Nui Loa, Peter!!
Do you have a video of you playing the whole song?
merci !
Nice tutorial but I have to say that "Take 5" was written by Paul Desmond who played the saxophone in Dave Brubeck's band. Paul should get credit for this classic piece.
YOUR THE BEST
Thank YOU!!! You're the only person with a decent tutorial and you make mistakes like I do, which makes it easier for me to not be as hard on myself... Make sense? You've helped me a lot and to be honest, it's not really that hard after you keep working at it for at least 2-4 hours. #Dedication
Thank you I going this for GCSE and I finally done it THANK YOU
very good lesson. I liked. I'll play...
Thank you!!!! :)
Definitely
Thank youuuu
i love it how you point out your mistakes so the learners can make sure they don't do it :)
RIP dave!! what a boss
thank you
Merci beaucoup (:
mom got tired of me hacking it up i did it on purposely so she would teach it too me and dam this was a blast she love how you were showing how to play this i cant thank you enough it was a great excuse to hang out with mom and play a tune Thank You Sir
Thanks that's really cool :)
great video! sounds like the original, in japan it's played differently but this is definitely " smoother "
wow dude thank you
Subscribed for the awesomeness
Sir- I find it an excellent video/effort- very very helpful for novices like me - at least ! Professionals may differ. The 'double' piano keyboard is excellent and a great help for those who , like me. cannot read music notations and are happy with 'alphabets'. Best wishes and Regards.
Guys also do watch chandana bala's take five vocal(carnatic)
Very good teaching !
Dave Brubeck is the guy you could not think of
merci merci merci
He usually played it LIVE in Bb minor however - as documental by his son Darius and heavenly Blues band -
I have been using Bb minor as the chord after Eb minor, filling out as a 1st inversion on the 5th beat (Db bass note). It seems to work equally well with your Db major, the relative..
jmcgatkinson Bbm7 is the correct chord, not Db Major. 👍
can you do a tutorial on either corner of the sky from pippin or skyfall by adele please?
Actually, Take Five was meant to be a mix between 3/4 and 2/4. The counting should be: 123 12 123 12.
But I understand that it's easier to make it a 5/4 instead :)
thank,s
E flat minor is basically F sharp major. Its the 6th on F sharp major key. I love your teachings though. Thanks a lot
Hey Peter, I think once upon a time you did a video tutorial using numbered fingers for Fur Elise, but I cannot find it anywhere. Can you kindly rePost it and send it to me? Thank you
very cool way to teach, much better than reading sheets
Thanks duuuude
Thanks for this, now I'll just explore some scales to solo over it :3
Liquiduck how did it go? Did you find anything worth sharing? :D
Thank you so much :)
Now, I can play the intro, and that's what I want! Thanks! :)
lol
Paul Desmond. Not Brubeck. Desmond wrote this song.
Yes, but Dave Brubeck was well known for playing it.
Correct :)
Rob McHaddish Yes, Paul Desmond , who was Dave Brubeck's saxophone player, wrote the song so they played it together as the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Just thought I'd chime in.
Jazmyne Breece
Yes, but maybe too well known, to the extent that people think he wrote it, thus depriving Paul Desmond of the compositional credit that is rightfully his.
really good tutorial. Do you have sheet for this version ?
That left hand stretch at 12:27 is not to be reckoned with!
Take Five was written by Paul Desmond.
"So happy birthday mom" ;) ;) ;) ;) 🤣😂🤣😅
Why is there a Bas Rutten Liver Shot video in the description.
Don't play octaves in the left hand just play the low note.
6:59 B
By Paul Desmond
yes awesome, i will make a band just to play this song :)
Thumbs up if you're learning this 2019👍
You just finished 10 months of confusion of coordination in 10 mins!!🥳🥳
if you count it as 1 2 3, 1 2 its a bit easyer then 1 2 3 4 5
8:28
Норм Бро 👍
What scale would this be? I mean, basically every note is being used
The song is technically in the key of Eb minor, which is F# major, but uses the Eb minor pentatonic scale which is why an A natural is played
Thank you very much Brad!
Sheet music, please?
@0:07 "...so happy birthday mom" *creepy laugh*
getting a little Freudian are we? ha
but thanks for the vid man
Look at Terrance Shider playing this he kills it.
5/4 is a weird time signature. You don't usually hear songs in 5/4 time.
Where are the drums?
no free sheet music?
My left ear has learned a lot
4:00 Bobby Mcferrin
Isn't it Al jarreau?
Man you're so fast for beginners.
What if you can't read music?
Awesome! now whenever I play this, I look and sound sophisticated as fuck!
Watch how a 8 year old play Take Five on the piano - coy and paste th video tittle -Take Five (songs) played by a prodigy
