    Ingredients:
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    1 cup all purpose flour
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 cup milk
    1 tsp vanilla extract
1 - 21oz can of cherry pie filling
    1 Tbs powdered sugar
    Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. While your oven is preheating, place your baking dish with the stick of butter into the cold oven. As the oven preheats, it will melt your butter and heat your pan.
Mix all your dry ingredients together. Next, add your milk and vanilla.
Mix until thoroughly combined. Once your butter is melted and your oven is preheated, pour your cobbler batter into the baking dish.
DO NOT STIR! You want the butter to be around the edges of your cobbler batter and some on top. Anywhere you can see the butter touching the batter, will create crispy edges.
Top your cobbler batter with your cherry pie filling. Drop in large spoonfuls around the dish.
Bake for 35-45 minutes or until light golden brown around edges and on top of cobbler.
Allow to cool for about 5-10 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve with vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream.
We will see you next time! Enjoy!

Yes, you can substitute brown sugar. It'll make the texture a little less fluffy, with a little more of a chew. Would be a good substitution.
