My thinking is that Ofner is going to be like a dark horse this season. He is just within the top 40 and I definitely could see him making almost top 20 by the end of the season. In one of his matches last week in Hong Kong, he hit 21 aces and 0 doubles faults for the match.
He is playing a really solid game, with some forehands and some returns that are crazy good. Like Emil.

Where did the Auckland Day 1 Highlights go?
Anyone notice the Max Purcell foot faults by crossing the centre mark during the match. Watched the TV highlights and just about every ad serve I saw his foot and sometimes both feet crossed the centre mark during the service motion before contact. Am I wrong with my interpretation? Only a couple examples in this footage but some of the tv views were worse.

Bautista Agut always looses when he is heavily favored (Baena 6; Harris 3,40; Safiullin 3,50; OConnell 4,33; Fils 3,75; Wolf 4; Evans 3,50; Vesely 5). All this defeats came in the past two seasons, which is crazy. But that is how it is if you only pushes the ball, but can not do anything by yourself.

After the high of United Cup which featured such high level tennis, we're back down to earth this week. Auckland should get more interesting on Day 3 once the stars play. We'll see which seeds end up slain. Unlike his loss to Ruby in HK, Fils was not troubled by Casket who needs to put his career in one. That ugly plié into his platfom serve reminds me of the WB frog. Agut struggled from the jump with low energy & the sun. Shapo still has his rap career, oh wait...

6:17 Is a testimony to the IDIOCY of the format of such courts. There should not be obstacles to players movement and running which could literally injure them and spectators. It would be annoying enough having to play with these gluttonous(sometimes drunk as I have seen) types metres away who think its some kind of open air cafe. Should be some distance and proper distance like AO or French Open.

It’s so sad, but Shapo was predicted to be one of the best ever! However, as life would have it, predictions didn’t turned out true and he’s become a mediocre player among the best in the planet. That’s a feat on itself, but why does a prospect like him, a lefty loaded with raw talent, doesn’t become what he was supposed to become? Is it lack of maturity, focus, champion’s spirit, self motivation or just, basically, wanting it badly enough that the stars align for him? We’ll never know, and it saddens me but it doesn’t matter, because I’ll still always be his number one fan! Oh, another thing, if and when he has a daughter, her last name will be Shapovalova🤣😂
