While other youtubers flexing their gear, you with half and barely working camera and lenses managed to do awesome work. I wish this kind of videos was more popular.
@@AndreoPhoto i had that same issue with one vintage lens. Yung focus din ayaw nya mag adjust. Had to CLA it and it was worth the money. Planning to cla a pentax 50mm and a takumar. Contrast is really out because of fungus and busted na yung aperture elements nung pentax.
I feel you man. With the skyrocketing prices of film nowadays, it brings a tear to my eye whenever a roll is wasted! Especially if Im doing the wasting! All we can do is learn from this experience my friend. Good luck and keep safe
You can send those lenses out in the Philippines to have them fully cleaned and lubricated. You have the holy trilogy of lenses there. So much cheaper over there to have it done than in Canada. Nice shots.
Hello! I love this video and your shots with the Nikon F2! My Nikon f just arrived yesterday, but I still can't decide what lens to buy. Do you have any recommendations for it? What is your favorite Nikon lens, your dream lens, and the best Nikon lens for you? Thank you!
Hey thanks very much for your kind words! Im glad you like the video! You know it really depends on your budget. Whats your budget? Maybe i can recommend something
@@nielcali hmmm heres what i can recommend. (Based on prices here) Nikon 50mm f2 - $70 Nikon 24mm f2.8 - $80-$90 Nikon 135mm f3.5 - $40-$50 That way youll have all your bases covered from wide (24mm) to normal (50mm) to tele (135mm)
Very good Andreo, it is important to go back to film photography, and you got very nice shots although of the lenses issues and shutter problem. By the way what is the Light Meter app you were using? Thank you.
i agree with you completely. going back to film photography brings you back to the basics. im sorry for the late response. RUclips hasnt been notifying me that there are comments on my videos. The light meter app i am using is simply called "Light Meter App" on Android. You can find its official site here www.lightmeter.dev/. Cheers!
Now this is something I can relate with. No "professional" photographer with their silly 6000 dollar camera. It's just a homeboy with his inherited clapped out camera, taking nice photos. While that camera is totally worth a cleaning and servicing, you're doing pretty good as is. Rock on.
Hey thanks very much for the comment! Making these videos during the height of the pandemic was a hoot! Ive since had the camera CLAd. It works even better now :)
It sort of looked like one of two things. Either he accidentally forced the winding lever a little too hard, or he tried to rewind without fully releasing the film takeup spool. That's the only way I can see it messing up the way it did. Since the film was cranked all the way to the right in the takeup spool, I think homeboy forced the lever a little too hard. I would be dropping F bombs too.

I enjoyed this video so much! You were very brave to shoot this camera and lenses in their permit condition. Well done.
Thanks very much! The camera just went for a CLA and is working beautifully now
Hahahahahaha! That intro! Sakto we're both trying out new things! Just got my fuji xt100. Love the film pov!

Did you ever get your F2 shutter problem fixed. Sounds like someone was a little rough with it. At least it still survived.

Yup! Have had some cleaned already actually haha roughly cost me $10 to $20 per lens
