We used to sing it in school but to a much less complex and more suitable tune for children, but always the five words 'O Jesus I Have Promised' take me back to being sat cross legged on the floor in assembly, and Miss Richards playing the piano as we sang. My piano teacher is now teaching me to play these four part hymns from hymnals, so I'll be able to discover more of these lovely tuned for myself, until then my lovely friend Carol, your channel is such a lovely journey of discovery. The organ sounds really sharp - looks like an Allen console.
