I run highway only, retreat is the only tires I buy,no problem at all. Heat is for me not a issue as I'm driving Northeast coast and my speed is low(Max 65 miles an hour)
Make Money Trucking yeah he has a point. I prefer virgin tires , but if I’m an a situation where I have to buy recaps (that’s all the shop has) then I will buy them and run it until the tires are nearly bald, and then replace them. Milk them for all they are worth. It’s always better to replace all of the tires at the same time, but that cost thousands of dollars and a lot of us won’t spend that
the problem comes when you have a casing that is on its 2nd and 3rd cap... my opinion you only want to cap a tire just 1 time. myself i would only use bandag for the reason I tried to blow them and never could.. air pressure is one of the key things when it comes to caps or any tire.
But I haven't had any good luck with Bandag they have been dog shit for me blowing out sidewalls pealing the tread up ect.. the michelin xdn2 retreads I have had the most success with

True
If you run OTR and run 60mph, you can use retreads in my opinion.
they work in the right situation for sure retread technology has come a long way in last few years

Looool. Lot of companies are saying they fine if u dont over or underinflate. But who knows
I think you’re confusing retreads and recaps yes there is a major difference retreads don’t come off like caps do
