    Thank you very much for the video! It's nice to see more GIS and RS content on RUclips.
    Although, I'd like to point out something very important you missed.
    The LULC maps you used were of the years 2010 and 2014; you used these to simulate the LULC map of year 2020 with just 1 simulation iteration.
    If I remember correctly, since there is only a 4 year gap between 2010 and 2014, using both of these maps as references for the simulation would only yield the LULC map for the year 2018. If, using the maps of 2010 and 2014 again, you did 2 simulation iterations it would give you the LULC map for the year 2022 (this would yield to less reliable results though because of the time gap, but it's good to visualize nonetheless).
    I understand that this may just be an example but details like this are crucial in helping people better understand.

    when you created a simulated map for 2020 there was no parameter to specify the date into the analysis only the file name and when you targeted a simulation for 2030 you also changed only the filename. How is that possible to affect the analysis or the simulation. And also the 2 variables you included are the DEM and distance from roads. How will a constant as the DEM affect the dynamic change of Land Use or Landcover. Your video needs further explanations

    I am confused here, why you have chosen an iteration of 5 for transition potential generation, though the simulated result will be obtained by single iteration. And the intervals between the different LULC are of different and not consistent? How do you predict the lulc without consistent intervals because an iterations will give you a multiples of previous intervals. My opinion only

But I have 5 years time series data for 20 years, and I want to predict 10 years later LULCC condition. But I am also lacking road distance data in district because good condition road is poor and only bad type temporary road is present here in my area. Please know to inform that using DEMO, 5 years of land use data, Can I predict LULCC of 10 years later condition of district? For that I should have to use not only initial and final but all available that may also be available annually too.

    My doubt is as you simulated for the year 2020, and then again for the year 2030 by just changing the name and iteration to 2. If the input data have 4 years difference, then the simulated year with 1 iteration will also have an interval of 4, is it so?

      For modelling of LULC using MOLESCE plugin, you need three LULC maps. Let say, 2000, 2011 and 2021 and the interval should be consistent for all. Here 2021 will be used as reference to simulated result using 2000 and 2011 which will give you one predicted LULC 2021. And the transition will be carried using ANN or logistic regression and the model will be generated based on CA Markov which will be validated using your reference lulc 2021. And if the accuracy is high, then go for prediction by altering the iterations.

    Greetings, thanks for the vid, it was really helpful. My question is when when i am at the cellular automata simulation, after I start the process, my computer freezes and qgis automatically closes. I don't know what is causing the problem do you have any idea? In terms of computing power I have got a 3.60 GHz processor, 16 GB ram, and 1 terabyte hard drive.

    Help Needed: Solving Geometry Error in LST Prediction Using QGIS and MOLUSCE Plugin
    Hi everyone,
    I’m currently working on a project to predict Land Surface Temperature (LST) for the year 2033 using QGIS and the MOLUSCE plugin. My dataset includes LST raster layers for 2013 and 2023, along with spatial variables like NDWI and NDVI.
    However, I’ve hit a roadblock with the following error message:
    “Geometries of the initial raster and raster are different!”
    I’ve double-checked to ensure that all my layers are in the same coordinate system, but the issue persists. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this geometry mismatch error.
    Has anyone encountered a similar problem or can suggest a step-by-step tutorial to ensure all geometries align properly in QGIS? Any tips or resources would be incredibly helpful!
    Thank you in advance for your assistance!

    • @hayatullahabid7289
      @hayatullahabid7289 Месяц назад

      You have to use rasters that:
      have equal pixel resolutions;
      have equal sizes (height and width);
      have the same projection.
