"I Heard It Through the Grapevine" is an 11-minute album track on Cosmo's Factory, the fifth album of Creedence Clearwater Revival. After three years of the disband of the quartet, the song was also released as a 12-inch single in January 1976. It peaked at #43 in the USA. Originally written and composed by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong for Motown Record. Marvin Gaye has performed the song in his eighth studio album with the same title.
Produced by John Fogerty and Released by Fantasy Records in July 1970

As most people already know, Creedence is the band of my life. When I first heard this song, about 20 years ago, I was only 7 ... and although Rock was already common in my house at that time, I was anesthetized when it started playing ... and I realized that afterwards ten minutes, the song is not over yet. During those minutes, a guitar solo that sounds like a chorus and a drum line with no less than TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY-TWO attacks on the Crash cymbal. After this listen, I decided which instrument I would play for the rest of my life.
There are many CCR tribute bands around the world, but none are faithful. Unfortunately, most are terrible.
With that, it deprived me of playing Creedence all this time ... I never met fans like me who wanted to play CCR, at least, in a respectable way to Creedence. From a very early age, I always accompanied Simon Lira, who always played the songs excellently and with great pleasure I accompanied him a few times on the drums. Like Raffa Machado and the Creedence4Ever project, guys who are rare in this world and know that CCR is not so simple to reproduce.
hope u enjoy. Видеоклипы

Nice work man......... thoroughly enjoyed it !!!!
Got better and better throughout
The audio on this is amazing, you are blended in perfect. 100000%
EXCELENTE!! Felicitaciones, Matheus!
Doug Cosmo would be proud.
very good ,,give you heaps of credit for the 11.05 version..one of the best version covers...i hope doug cosmo sends you a message of encouragement..well done

Oh this is sweet, good man. Apparently John thought Doug couldn't keep time, LOL. Cos and you both kill it here Matheus. So good to see.

This brings back memories of My family playing to CCR. I was on drums
So amazing. From the sound, to the song choice, to the drumming style. Best cover of this song I've seen. Nice job man!!
Great performance in my opinion dude!

Excelente Matheus. Great job! Cheers from Campinas, Brazil!
Doing god's work
Mas que excelente !!!
Saw CCR in Brisbane Australia early seventies (can't remember exactly when but that's another story). Awesome night with Sherbet as well who were also great on the night. Always remember John Fogerty wearing a bright yelow suit with a white ten gallon hat.
Cool at the time.
Keep on Chooglin guys.
Nailed it! This went great with my morning coffee just now
I played this on drums many times and when the cowbell came in, I'd use the bass drum and the rack Tom instead of both floor tom and rack.
I need to lie down after that !.... simply superb . Take a bow sir . Fantastic 👏
Incredible. I like it! 🤙🤙
I was just practicing playing this song exactly how it was recorded and this popped into my feed!!
Boy, this sure helps.
As an old school drummer, I almost feel like I am cheating!
Great job!
Badass bro
Perfect!
It's a keeper!
Great playing and great sound. Each beat on the snare drum is music in itself :)!
EXCELLENT !!!!!
🌹🌹🌹
This was so freaking cool man. Superb. Love that bass drum. Cheers.
That Tom riff seems way cooler in the ears than it is difficult on the kit. I was surprised at the simplicity, but I'm not sure that I could ever get the kick pattern without much practice. Well done, as far as I can tell, you did nail it exactly. Tasteful fills on this song.
Parabéns Matheus! Ficou perfeito!
Ótimo trabalho. Preciso como um relógio
Bom de mais!!!
Omg u are amazin bro
Exellent!
Wonderful
niiiiiiiiiice!
This guy is as good as it gets!
Awesome
Sounds great👍👍
Excelente, versión
great great job man
I want your t shirt! Were i can buy it?
You're inspiring me. Do you have a drum cover of Born on the Bayou by ccr? I would like to see what you do with that
Capo
Q buen cover.. sube uno de born on the bayou.. si puedes el del concierto live Europa cuando ya eran power trio
In the CCR recording the kick drum is lost in the mix. You made it more prominent. I'm not a great drummer but you gave me something to work on.
Man, this is fucking great, thank you!
Felicitaciones!
Normally my Audio Technica ATH M50 headphones won't distort. Your recording and bass drum did it! I guess it is good. Had to lower the equalization down. I can feel those drums hitting my ear drums. That is the way I like it. Thanks.
👍👍👍👍
Fantastic work my friend!
Is it a Camco drum set??
Same ilumination, and t-shirt as well 😎
Would be a pleasure to play in a tribute band with you!!
Cheers from chile🍻
Hello dude! No, thats not a camco set. But I have a Camco that I am reforming. I bought this year.
This set in this video is a similar one, from an brazilian brand. Thaks for your comment!
About the shirt, for years I searched everywhere, years searching the internet for the exact cartoon, the exact print on Doug's shirt, but it just doesn't exist. Totally impossible to find that mickey image. And I can't say why this image doesn't exist or why it is so exclusive on the doug's shirt.
I printed a scene from the woodstock video and painted it myself!
Lets do a jam someday! it would be a pleasure! thanks again
Matheus Rapanha Keep on Chooglin!!
@@thecoversmatheus can you sell me a t shirt?
Great thank you... BPM for click track please?
This Is So nice. I was about To sleep until I saw this video. Also, I really want to be friends :3
heeey dude! what a pleasure read a comment just like this. Thanks for this! So, what we are wainting to became friends? hehehe thanks again my friend!
Excelente, parceiro!
Wow you are so Good on them Drums Wow I love it and I love that Song to keep it going and be safe and May God always bless you ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊😊👍👍👍👍
Buen trabajo, pero me parece que le falta el cencerro,es mi modesta opinión,igual tocas muy bien.
This song by C.C.R., even though this isnt the original version sounds like something Santana would be playing, like a latina feel to it, imo..
Chingon .. gracia a ti ya se donde ponerme el platillo .. por ue se me complicaba a la vuelta... saludos y felicidades.
I wish I had this video 10 years ago to shove it in the face of my ex-band drummer
I was doing great until about minute 7 then i realised its the never ending version and my arms were getting tired AF
good but you are a bit too much up tempo, it is played deep back.. ;)
This is a great cover but it’s not exactly how Doug Clifford played it. You’re adding more notes on the bass drum then he did.
