I think it's because he's wanted to fight for the dinosaurs that have been killed by the Raptors and also wanted to teach Slash a lesson.And also because,he wanted to protect his friends.
I saw the whole movie! Fantastic movie!! Speckles is one of my favourite Dino's out there. Great dad and the character as been through so much! Oh boy I cried when he thought his son died. Its sad that a Dinosaur puts on a better performance that some people. It was heart breaking, I cried at this! than when we thought Ray died in Rise of Skywalker. How Speckles froze, staring off in the distant as it suddenly hit him his child died, the way his lower jaw shakes and then he sobs. People who did this movie you guys are awesome. I hope we see Speckles again.
I love this scene where Blade the Carnotaurus fights Slash the Therizinosaurus and two Deinonychus while Junior and Blue help Bade which was so emotional.
every time i see or hear the name blue eyes while watching or thinking about this film or the 1st one i get a few tears in my eyes so your name kinda had me cry a bit

And now you don't deserve to be a Therizinosaurus like me!! *Little Scratch didn't know that the 2 raptors sneaked behind Scratch, which Scratch skewers them both on the faces with his claws, sending them tripping off the ledge* Scratch: Trying to sneak behind me! Well, that ain't working for you raptor dopes!

Slash was really a coward out for his own skin. I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to survive albeit with burns, scars, one hand missing claws and a blind eye from ash and smoke.

Because Slash is egoistic and mean,and he made a deal with the raptors that if he told them information about anyone escaping (I think) the raptors won't kill him.
