Excellent vlog Dan. I think playing a practice round rather than just caddying is a wise choice. You now have personal insight to give Paul rather than guess work which is what most other caddies will be offering.
I must say Paul is a true pro in every aspect of the game but more importantly in his attitude I am routing for Paul will be following him to see how he gets on
I've played that course from further back than yuou guys! LOL I have never been able to master it but my eclectic isn't too bad. If the greens are fast it will be a struggle if you are on the wrong portion. I think the key will be leaving yourself uphill putts so i hope you mapped the greens well. Good luck. I watched Darren Clarke win here. The dogleg right on the back 9 (15th or 16th) and he hit a 3 wood over the trees. I tried it with a driver from the white tees and did it, left me 90 yards in over the pond and I didn't bottle it.
Great content again Dan. Good learning experience for amateurs to be able to watch you guys talk your way through the shots and lines on the green. I think Paul has at least 25.8K followers willing him on for the Tournament.
Thanks, that was fascinating to watch you "learn" a Course. Having played the Arden several times I have always thought that the front 9 was a little bland, but the back 9 is stunning, especially if the deer herd is out feeding.
Really enjoying this content, it’s great to see how Paul plots his way round, all the best in the tournament guys shame there are no supporters allowed I would have loved to come and cheer you on. Keep it up 👍
Wonderful camera angles, and Paul is very talented at logically describing his thinking on each shot. It’s a pleasure to see brothers working together like this. Wishing you both all the best this week.
I played this course many years ago with my father. Great fun and off the yellows a fair members course with a wonderful finishing par 3 (which I birdied!). Those Championship tees though look a bit brutal in places I do wonder whether the new devices in the hole to get your ball without bending may become a permanent feature. A number of our older members have commented very favourably about them
Great content. Do you think you playing detracted / added to Paul's practice or helped you from a caddies perspective to see how the holes are playing so you can give informed advice / opinions on what was needed?
Yes I do admit my swing on Paul looks much better on him . . use it well my son, have as much fun as possible and remember . . live the life you love and love the life you live . . no hope here Mr leek2503 just pure talent!
great ball striking and a wonderful insight thanks for sharing. best of luck gentlemen. ps. for a win, please allow me to buy the pints & peanuts this time
Great stuff Dan!! Very nice being able to watch Paul ease into the course. As always, Thx for sharing with us, this is like getting early Christmas presents everyday!! #CaddieDan
dan yours and lesters content is so good love it when it pops up really good plz dont turn out like cross field i know its about making a living but you got too keep your bro in a few more vlogs when you talk about shots its making me think about when im greedy. keep up the good work loving it
Love the way you talk to Paul, seems to calm him down. He realises his misses, by your conversation. I am currently a 17 handicap golfer (club handicap) playing somewhere around 11 at the moment, trying to achieve my childhood handicap of 6, 40 years later.... anything you can think of that might help me achieve the dream?
Ralph from the States here. I love the variety of content on your channel. I've never followed the European tour much but I'll be following Paul and certainly rooting for him at the English Open. Can a good showing for Paul get him into the British Open?
So yardage charts, greens books and now wind charts also! Think the R&A need to address all this stuff. As an amateur I'm not allowed to use slope on rangefinder or AI caddy but pros get a full caddy and all the extra stuff above. Let's get rid of some of this stuff. Surely a pro can read a green without a book and judge the wind like Lester by throwing up a bit of grass and not looking at it 😉
Good luck guys...was wondering about Paul.since starting to help with course vlogs I would imagine his routine to prepar for tournament play is a bit different..is it distracting or is a the change not a problem
Best of Luck to Paul in the comp. Sorry your caddy seems intent on distracting you for his Blogosphere. Get in there Paul, and Dan...you will be a great caddy!
I’m a member here! Would have loved to have come out with you, to give you some insider tips on lines to take and green complex layouts, etc. I’m on the reserve list to be a Marshall this week, so hopefully will see you there Dan.
Amazing if anyone can book like that just before the tournament or was it only possible because Paul is playing? Guessing it was earlier than I thought.
I’m following your shots on my golf app (VPAR). Brings a whole new level to the video lol. Enjoying your content Dan (and friends). Keep up the good work. One small critique/word of advice maybe...? Perhaps personal mic’s would give slightly better audio?? Currently fine when near the camera but 5 yards away and we start to lose vocals due to wind noise. I know it will probably just another thing to worry about but I think we would really appreciate the improved audio. Keep it up guys 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
15 minutes from my house but never played. Hopefully on the list for this year (if we are ever able to play). Welcome to Coventry & Warwickshire Gents!
If things go wrong at any point will you be helping Paul mentally or just helping select the best club/approach to each hole? What’s the role of the caddy in that position do you think? Guess it might different in this situation as you are related. Koepka hadn’t met his caddy before last year’s open.
@@GW._. the greens at my club get to 10.5....they will take the blades much lower, double cut each day and be rolled also..so can't see why not.. They probably are at least 10 in this video
We are double cutting each day from Monday the practice day to the Sunday , at 2.5 ml double rolling, they have been stimped today 11.5 by Thursday they will be 12, any questions please ask, I’m deputy head Greenkeeper there,
Never wanted a player to do as well on European tour as I Hope Paul is going to. Good luck Paul
InstaBlaster
Great to see a Vlog of a course that I played on the same day! Looking forward to the back 9, probably the better 9!
Hope it will be televised down under. Good luck gents.
Great video lads... good luck Paul 👌go and smash it!!! "it's what we do" 😂😂
Great video - wonderful insight into plotting a round
Excellent vlog Dan. I think playing a practice round rather than just caddying is a wise choice. You now have personal insight to give Paul rather than guess work which is what most other caddies will be offering.
Also these are excellent videos Dan - great quality and superbly informative. Thank you very much
Playing in the Mizuno Pairs comp few days after this tournament, so thanks for insight/course learning
I'm so looking forward to Thursday. Lots of tea & Sky sports. C'mon Paul 💪
Paul is so calm and Collective, he might fall over he's so chilled out 🙈 course looks amazing your going to have a great time
Great video again Dan. Best of luck to you both in the competition.
Looking forward to following Paul’s progress at the English open, love watching these videos dan always pleasure to watch and comment👍🏻
Epic can't wait to see you two on with the trophy 🏆good luck 🤞 👍
Great vlog Dan good to see how the pros play and think about it . best of luck in the tournament Paul and Dan
Enjoying these videos & the thought processes. Good luck in the comp
Really enjoying this series of videos with your brother! Good luck Paul 👍. (No lester is a bonus)
I must say Paul is a true pro in every aspect of the game but more importantly in his attitude I am routing for Paul will be following him to see how he gets on
I hope the weather holds up well for the tournament. Will be following along.

Good luck Paul hope your caddy gives you great support and doesn't muck it up 😃
Thanks, that was fascinating to watch you "learn" a Course.

This is such an interesting inside view of tour golf Dan...nicely done, and thanks as well to Paul for letting us in !!
Those are some tricky greens. Enjoyed the vlog.

Solid start chaps, some really solid shots out there but those greens are fun aren't they....giggle...
Great insight again. Like the way Paul thinks re the tee shot, leaving where hw will be off the back tees.
Great content Dan, really enjoying your videos so far
Great vlog Dan great to see you both working together 👍
Hoping to play this soon. Looks great, really looking forward to the rest of the round 👍🏻
Best of luck, lads. Strong looking field so should be great fun. Scorchio on Friday so don't forget your talcum powder and frozen bottles of water.
Great video, Good Luck Paul

Played it last year, cracking course.
Great opportunity with Paul getting an invite, and you are making the most of it. Keep it up 👍👍
I live 15 minutes from the forest played it many times the back 9 is stunning
Cmon team Hendrickson.. to show support I’ve even put a few quid e/w on Paul... top 8 finish will be good enough 👍👍⛳️⛳️
Can you make a video explaining how you read the greens with the finger like 2% 1 1/2%
Really enjoying the content. Top shelf!👍
I really like the Arden course. Aylesford is quite nice too, and tricky in parts

Worth a tenner @ 1000/1? 😁 Good luck to you both. Have a great week
I've booked this tee time for 2. Of course I brought my clubs. I like that, just don't bring them Thursday.

Played there last year, both courses are beautiful.
Good luck to Paul, might even put a cheeky fiver for a top 10

Yeah, it’s the road being picked up also 🙈
Dan Hendriksen Golf it’s
Not the ‘be all and end all’ just a nice addition to already great content. 💪🏻
I found that run off on the first, Dan, cost me a double weep..
Seen Paul play 4 times now, he has used a different putter everytime!! Well whatever works eh?>
Decent looking course!
15 minutes from my house but never played. Hopefully on the list for this year (if we are ever able to play). Welcome to Coventry & Warwickshire Gents!
Great video. I couldn’t help thinking I don’t think your brother suffers fools gladly. Has he ever played with Mark Crossfield?
No he has not, I think 🤔
Caddy Dan had better make sure he has a couple of those world famous club cleaners in his pocket.
If things go wrong at any point will you be helping Paul mentally or just helping select the best club/approach to each hole? What’s the role of the caddy in that position do you think? Guess it might different in this situation as you are related. Koepka hadn’t met his caddy before last year’s open.
First tee shot all i could hear in my head was Crossfield's voice, " How did that stop there", #luckydan
Good luck this week , would have a cane and said hi as it’s only a short drive away. Pesky coronavirus stopped that idea 😩
Paul has got Dans old trousers 🤣🤣🤣
Shame you couldn’t do a vlog with Chris Ryan while you were there. Good luck with the event
such a pretty course.
different putter for Paul , thought he did ok with the last one
While you’re there maybe have a match with Chris Ryan. You can do that sort of thing now that you’ve got your own channel 😆
Hope Paul can make the cut with your help........ then earn some serious cash!!!!!
Any one know FJ trousers Dan is wearing in this vlog please?
Good luck today!
What is a wind map/chart?
Wind chart? they are sooo spoiled.
Yes Daniel san. Playing there next Friday just after they reopen.
Tagged it on to a couple of days at the belfry. Can’t wait!
Enjoy,
@@matthewhall2320 It's a beautiful course, holes 11 through 17 are spectacular.
Does Paul play professional golf full time?
Not fully, he does have another job 👍
Best of luck Paul. Just whacked £50 on you EW at 500/1 👊
Paul seems like a top man and a very good golfer but he doesn’t half wear some bad trousers
😂
First? Don't mind if I do.
A decent player shouldn't see water and bunkers... Eliminate them out your mind and focus on fairways and making birdies.... Games easy
greens running at 12 lol they wish
For the competition they will.... Not in this video
