    G’day Dr Nancy team & Co ;-) Good job on Glimmer.
    I had a similar horse ear issue and used ivomectin on the ears, eventually cleared up to almost normal..lol
    Well done epic job getting on top of it, love viewing the veterinary in detail, is so educational! Thanks 🙏

    Glummers ears look SO much better..when Dr Nancy first started this it looked horrendous those warts were so long they blocked his ears and actually weighed them down..now he just has a few crusty regrowth even being left for nearly 3 weeks they look great..love the piece of equipment which holds their head when they are sedated..great work and it must be so much better for Glimmer too..he is a good patient and although sedated I think he knows it is helping him but how they see through the mask I don't know..but its a must to keep those pesky flies off wounds..great invention whoever it was..🇬🇧💞🙏✝️🐎👍👏🇺🇸

      They can actually see really good through the masks. My horse wears one 24/7 and it looks different when you have it over your eyes looking out, I've tried my horse's mask out and you can see pretty normal out of it. Keeps harmful sunrays and bugs out of their eyes and ears 😊

    • @PurdueAlum01
      @PurdueAlum01 Год назад

      What's up with his tail? I know the tendons were cut long long ago as part of the Big Lick process to strap their tail up high but I wasnt aware of anything they really do to resolve that... once it's done it's done. Or does the tail have another issue like his poor ears...

    Mange on those ears ??

    • @PurdueAlum01
      @PurdueAlum01 Год назад

      Not mange but warts...they picked some off and cut some out previously and he is on some medication to try and clear them up but it will take some time, maybe a long time, to clear up and the warts are regrowing a bit.
      He had the wart issue with his ears when he was first rescued by HPHS 8 years ago...but I know this vet will keep at it until it's as good as it can get.

    what causes that in the ear?

    • @ashrowan2143
      @ashrowan2143 Год назад +1

      They go into the details in the first video where they treat him, but basically this is a condition many horses have but they are asymptomatic and never have any warts grow, but if their immune system faces enough strain they can suddenly start growing warts
