It's cool how diverse deck-building is for this deck. There's regular Marincess, Marincess with the Icejade synchro, Shark Marincess, Adventurer Marincess, Adularia Marincess. Pure Marincess with Icejade Ran is the best, imo.
Testing synchro and shark but feel like the synchro is a two card synchro while the shark is in a way but you just need to control a water monster to start it off compared to the synchro route needs a water to discard

Tbh I'm a big fan of small world in marincess. It does the same job as cynet mining but in my opinion better because if you get ashed you haven't lost a additional card in hand and going second you could search for Gameciel the sea turtle kaiju. I use dream shark as a bridge to Gameciel because he is a fish so it doesn't conflict with my marincess monsters and you can bridge also from droll, ash, Veiler, ghost ogre with dream shark (all have 0 ATK) to gameciel. I hope my point that I wanna make is somewhat understandable because english is not my mother language😅

I totally get your argument for lower counts of Wave, but last format after seeing Shannon Long playing 3 wave and owning, and trying it for myself, ive totally been converted. The card is just NICE. Plus, being able to dig for it off of Tang and search a 2nd one anyway is underrated. Theres no once-per-turn on the card, and that can come up with things like Lance and Book in the format (the negate needs to resolve in order to apply the protection). Also, good players are just going to Ash your Triangle, and you probably arent going Heart into it for protection, and id rather play a deck thats built around my opponents knowing how to cook me. Also if you have 2, having 1 for your opponents turn and then 1 on your turn for protection aint bad either. Tldr: i love this deck and I love 3 wave lmao, appreciate the profile king
I tested aegerine for a while, however, she just feels like one of the additional extender packages that have been weeded out over time. I would question when running aegerine "well, why not play the abyss shark package" because it puts up 2 bodies but can actually play around nibiru. Then I remember over time, almost all marincess players kind of agreed its better to play without abyss shark. Then with aegerine, u could use her 2 ways. 1 to make a better end board but get absolutely ROLLED by nib. Or 2, you could use her play around nib by going ep with her in hand, but then if thyley didn't have nib angering was just a dead card that turn and it felt really awkward.
Thanks for the detailed video! I've also watched your Rikka tutorial which I really liked. Between Marincess and Rikka, which deck would you recommend more for going meta (budget aside)?
I don't play TCG, I play OCG, but I'd still recommend Sunavalon Rikka. Much higher ceiling and versatile combos. Relatively rogue so not everyone knows the details of the deck. Proof of it being good has already been shown in worlds.

I will try to make stealth Kragen with pascalus when possible. Otherwise you hope you draw book of moon, imperm, ash, etc. Then the objective is just survive to play next turn
Ok I do gotta ask. Is there any replacements for the handtraps if you choose not to play any for a change? Like its fine with them being in there but I kinda want to make a more casual build with any negates being either archetypal or at least in the extra deck.
Honestly if you don't want to play any hand traps, marincess probably isn't the deck to play. It's a deck known for being 1 card starter plus flex spots, with the best being hand traps. That being said l, if you just really want to play casual marincess because you like the archetype. You can probably just play some fun cards in there that you like. I don't really have any non competitive recommendations because it's just whatever you want to play haha.
play extenders, incase you get handtrapped to continue going, level 4 water extenders like silent sea nettle or aqua spirit, shark package, ice jade package, adularia with or without the barrier statue, foolish burial and foolish burial of goods with ice barrier for kaiju or sleepy maiden searches and for dumping dive and then recovering it down the line aka just another copy of dive, there's white howling, or floodgates such as gozen match or warlods, theres the swordsoul iris that can provide extra board presence off of wave negate also works with mourner or imperm but those are handtraps
Personally I think adularia with barrier statue is just making the marincess deck worse. You have to take out important flex spots and defensive cards to run more engine that needs to see playable to be good, simply making your good hands maybe a little better and your bad hands much worse
Where are the Ulti Desires, Ulti/Starlight Veiler, Secret MACR Ashs, UMR Ogre, Starlight Zeus and Starlight Charmer? I don‘t see these Cards in your Build lol If you want to play High Rare, then please play everything in High Rare lol

You ever think the adularia build is playable? I tried it at locals and its not half bad.
