Lemley, of Russellville Arkansas was a POW for a while in WWII and later in life worked for the post office. With minimum formal education, he wrote this very inspired and literary gospel classic. J.B. Passed away in 2002, before Alan Jackson made it as famous as it should have been earlier.

All our troubles and heart aches are vanished away I just can't imagine that's all my life and being an outcast alway got put down even from my own family. I had health troubles. Growing up then brain cancer 20 years old then latter in life 27 years old signs of stroke and nobody cares to lission then at 40 years old the big one hit. It took a lot from me that I did not know at the time . and seeing all the hate and two face people. Always fell like a loser and being an outcast. It turn me to cold harted . this song touches my hart and soul every time I hear it. Feals like JESUS is touching my hart and soul when I hear this song. It brings tears to my eyes . what he has done for all of us. Every lasting arms.
Stay close to Jesus, He'll never abandon you. It's always our family and friends who hurt us more and strangers extend their hearts and arms. Pray for your strength in all ways, sealed with a Christian love
@lgcacher9205 first I want to say I have walked in those very same shoes and I’m still wearing them to this day. I will always be the black sheep. I’ll always be the one that gets talked about. The one that’s not good enough. I will also be the one that no longer cares what anyone else thinks about me or feels about me. I also harbor no hard feelings towards anyone for things they have said or done to me over the years….I have forgiven them and pray for them often. I do this because it makes me feel better and I know I’m obeying Gods word by forgiving and praying for them. So by doing that and not harboring any hate in my heart I know I am going to make it to Heaven.
