@@ramadamming8498 In context, that is a foolish question. Or perhaps you're just a Russian troll. 😎 😎
Georgians are brave like Ukrainians 👍🏼
If they're going to assert their independence now is the time, while Russia has so many opposition groups in various countries to deal with on top of its Ukrainian folly!
Bravo Georgia!!! No to ruzzia!!!!
No, for the occupiers!!!
But yes to having your unique small country and culture run by Google, Hollywood, Western Companies and NGOs ?
@@ramadamming8498Ah, here come the trolls. Yes, they'd prefer their independence and being part of Europe as opposed to taking their orders from Gazprom and the other Russian capitalist oligarchies. I didn't notice them waving any Google banners.
@@ramadamming8498 Yes, definitely a Russian troll. 😎 😎
@@ramadamming8498What are you doing on youtube Ivan, shouldn't you be in the trenches in Donetsk?
@@christianv-h3278 I beg your pardon? I am not sure I understand the relevance of your comment.
My comment is, regarding the problematic situation of being between two larger information powers. If these students and lets say, Georgian hipsters, who maybe see 'the west' as an image of 'freedom' ( but have never been there to find out it is anything but and it is only an image and is mostly fake as the west is broken and corrupted also ) do not want to be under a law that restricts 20% of media to be foreign, then that means, they would like all that western money to fund the media? Be effectively controlled and owned and run by foreigners ?
If you go to any western country, France, Denmark, Germany, England - pretty sure most people would not want a media owned and run by outsiders.
Do they want a country run by western NGOs ? It is a serious question, has anyone considered the future of that?
Or, really, is it just to be "anti" anything that sounds remotely Russian ? Which is also understandable.
As to your original comment, it really shows the superficial reactionary thinking about all this.
I presume you have never had to live under a western country and regime and the fake media there ? The broke towns, unemployment, lack of health care polluted lakes and rivers, elderly abuse by the state and so and so on. The west only exists as a fairytale to most of the people protesting.
Bravo to the brave Georgians! 👍👏👏👏✊️🗽
Shame on Putler !
Keep up the good fight for what you believe is right for Georgia. The rest of the democratic world supports you.
but do they ? I mean, who is the 'western democratic world'? Politics or people or just the idea ? The point is, do these Georgian students (many of which have not lived in an average or poor town in say, the UK, France or Germany, so do not know what it is like ) know that having their country run by western back media companies = freedom? Does not sound like it. It sounds like a typical kind of colonising. Is 'the west' really 'free' - I think many of them still believe it is a place where there is no corruption or bad situations but it is.
The strong free people of Georgia want democracy
We stand with you brave people.

This is a democracy funeral. But they faught well.
Georgia is obviously still a democracy. These people are good at organizing themselves in numbers, but they're the minority.
@@wolfswinkel8906 - minority? There are more protests to come.....
Its not over yet, today students from almost every university declared disobedience, they refuse to attend classes and hit the streets in every big city. The law will pass most definitely, however in october we have elections and there will be last stand for our democracy.
@@wolfswinkel8906 Another "Georgian dream" troll here. Absolute majority of the nation is against this russian law. Who support this law are relatives of "dream", bribed people, and puppet trolls like you. Georgia will never be a slave to the russian dream!
@@JonnyTheRevelator Students always like to protest, without knowing exactly why they are doing it. It is part of the rites of passage of a student to "do a protest" of some kind. Fact is, if they had a Georgia run by Western NGOs and a media owned and run by foreigners, or by western media companies, they might regret that when they are older? The 'west' is not a place of wonderous democracy either and western countries are not doing well.

Same like in belarus 4 years ago , polite protesters 😂😂😂 nothing gonna happen here .
I am glad that Georgia supports democracy, but as an EU citizen I am against accepting more non western and corrupt poor countries into our union. Before joining you must meet criteria: be a country with a steadfast democratic tradition and be economically developed. You must also be a western country.
The EU is usless anyway and in 'western' countries there are big economic problems, infrastructure problems and many people in Georgia still believe that 'the west' is somehow 'more free' or better partly due to history with Russia which is understandable and they are a small culture now between two larger political areas ( again ! ) but do they really want a country run by Hollywood, Google and NGOs?
Already tired of your double standards and blablabla. We are not in EU, because you are afraid of Russia
@@ramadamming8498 hollywood, google, and NGOs don't roll down streets with russian tanks. you are a very silly kid if you think they are comparable to the suffering russia wreaks.
