Im in Houston and the diesel "sub culture" is serious. I almost went with a diesel, but maintenance costs plus the new emissions gear makes it an expensive choice.

The squat law in NC is for certain amount of lift in the front versus the rear. I can’t remember what it is off the top of my head and I’m too tired to look it up 😂 “once you go diesel you never go back.” *if you have the funds.
I went from F-150 to F-250 diesel and now I’m back in F-150 and couldn’t be happier. $1600+ for injectors when they went out I just couldn’t do it. Shit adds up quick just to keep it at factory power levels and reliable.

What he also failed to mention is when he said “it ain’t that bad” as far as regular routine maintenance i.e. oil changes and filters, they still cost nearly double what you probably buy for Red. Now, for someone like him running a fully established renovation company, it’s probably no problem at all. Not taking away from that, make that money young man. But just straight up comparison, it costs nearly double if not more for everything on a diesel compared to gas.
Oh yes I hear is super expensive for a diesel and also he’s been having a diesel his entire life so he’s probably just used to the cost of owning a diesel.. it’s normal to him

Catylic converters were a big thing at one point still kind of hot but not as hot. Houston they still Chevys and Fords pretty bad here in Dallas I can’t really say.

Not a fan of the pavement princesses. I’m all for a clean truck but throw on some AT tires on a decent sized rim and keep the utility. Just don’t get the point of sitting on 1 inch of rubber and not being able to tow or haul a damn thing. 🤷🏻♂️
I’m not sure if you heard him, but he says he only tells gooseneck trailers, so he definitely use it with that set up
He “says” he does. Doesn’t mean he does it daily. That setup wouldn’t last long hauling heavy like some of us do. He’d have to replace suspension components and wheel bearings very often with that offset. If he’s really a business owner he wouldn’t use that truck for that. It’s an unneeded expense. I speak from experience, had the same setup. Lasted a year before I took all of it off. Too many problems just because I wanted my truck to”look” a certain way.
