I used to have severe dark circles and I was told to never rub my eyes with my fingers and if they were itchy to apply eye drops instead of rubbing, wash them delicately and apply my cream using my pinky. That worked my dark circles are gone, they look younger, brighter firmer and plumber. Apparently rubbing your eyes breaks vessels that cause darkness and puffiness and pressing while rubbing can cause fat to move. When I want a boost in plumpness and look rested I apply baby hash cream such as bepanthol. You can also use hemorroidal cream for purple fix if if you have purple eyes. Just one night for that morning you need to look good, but it’s dangerous to use frequently since there is no studies about it. Bepanthol is my go to for eyes and lips I apply a thick layer on my eyes and lips and I wake up 5 years younger.

Thanks, for the information very educational. Can you do a video about menopause skin health? Does it have any influence on cosmetic surgery procedures? Again keep educating us with your videos. ❤ always a fan.
I was talked into Thermage for my upper eyelids even though I really had no issue with my upper lid. I was looking into treatment for my under eye only. The result was excess sagging skin on my upper eyelids so I definitely don’t recommend it. I also used thermage in the under eyes and had a better result with that but I still don’t recommend it. Very expensive for vert little result and there is a real potential for fat loss and causing more sagging than you already had. Just say no to thermage.
Dr. Youn. I agree with one of the above requests above in the comments section. Could we Ladies have a Video on looking after our Skin during & post Menopause please. We would all appreciate it. Many thanks. Love your Videos! 🤗
Yes! My skin was beautiful, smooth, porcelain, right until age 50 when I hit menopause. I literally looked 40 (max) until I hit 50, at which point I gained back those 10 years and more. Now, at 55, it's not even the same face. My skin is SO thin and I spend a fortune keeping it hydrated, and retinol hasn't helped. I'm wondering if HRT would have helped?
When I lost most of my eyebrows through menopause and low thyroid function, I had my eyebrows tattooed on by an aesthetician who specialised in this rather than microblading, and it looks so natural and has opened up my eyes so much. I still want a blepharoplasty though.
That's amazing, info, please! I definitely don't want to microblade and I know the day will come when I am old and can't do my brows myself. I barely trust people with my natural hair and nails so, let me know.
Thanks. Same problem with thyroid issues. The outer third of my eyebrows are gone. I think I'm going to give up the fake pencil eyebrows and get them tattooed. Do they even have special tattoo artists who do this? Thank you. ❤
You didn’t mention the lower bleph technique where the doc does repositioning. Simple removal of the fat usually leaves the patient looking hollow. Repositioning the fat leaves smooth volume under the eyes.
Just watched your video. It was very informative. Just wanted to tell you when you spoke about eye cream that temporarily shrinks the under eye bags is made by Peter Thomas Roth, not Phillip. His name was right on the tube you showed. Thank you for explaining all the available options for the eyes.
I had a sudden, severe bout with under eye puffiness and bags. It turned out I had an issue with my thyroid. After getting thyroid medication, it disappeared. Sometimes, it pays to ask your gp.
Haha! About 25 years ago I had a face/brow lift. I loved how it turned out. A year or so later it was time to renew my driver's license. Some time after that I was driving on an interstate highway and got pulled over for speeding. The cop took my license as usual back to his car to check me out and when he came back he asked me if I was taking any drugs. I was shocked and said no, why? He said my eyes 👀 looked as if I was on certain drugs that cause eyes to be wider open! I laughed and told him I had a face and brow lift. He didn't know what to say except 'oh.' Btw, he did give me my first ever speeding ticket. 😂
“Oh” seriously? You’d think he’d let you go but you embarrassed him because he was acting like an arse so he had to give the ticket to make himself feel better. Cops 👮 😂😂
I just have to say it in the most respectful way as i possibly can….Dr. Youn, you are such a handsome man and you have the most PERFECT eyes❤🥰 Thank you for sharing your knowledge, i don’t know how i got here on your channel, but i definitely enjoyed your expertise! ❤
Thanks for the explanation. I've come across a procedure where there's an upper eye lift (blephoroplasty) combined with a brow lift. They approach is from within the wound going towards the brow and fixate the brow in a higher position and then close the wound of the eye. Something like that, I'm not sure if I described it the best way. Is this also a known technique with good results?
Dr ive had upper & lower blephoraplasty 2.5 months ago. Sadly overall result didn’t come out nicely rather botched up work especially on lower blephoraplasty. My right under eye surgeon took out all of the fat except left in the inner corner median fat left without doing any fat repositioning. Whereas my left eye still I’ve baggy eyes even though fats taken out. So essentially I’ve two under eyes have completely different look (one is sunken and hallow with little fat left & the other still protruding baggy / puffy). I’ve no idea if it’s still swelling or not as I’ve reached out few times to the Dr who did the surgery but failed to respond to my specific question. Also for the upper blephoraplasty I still have excessive skin & looks puffy too. Also I still have a sausage type of eyelid 😅 where my right eyelid sutures done not nicely therefore causing still tightness. Plus one eye looks like acute ptosis and creases on sutures aren’t hidden rather scars visible. So eyelids on both eyes not asymmetrical and have a different shaped as well. I am now looking surgeon who specialises in eyes surgery and have a revision done but have to wait at least 6 months. My question is for the sunken lower eyes does the Dr need to inject fat there? Also for upper eyes I’ve keloid scaring and visible so for now I am using keloid scar gel. With a revision all of my issues can be resolved? I am so worried especially since it’s a corrective surgery and I don’t want to end up paying more again if it’s botched up second time 😞. Your advise would be much appreciated
Sorry to hear this. But, it does take up to a year to completely heal. My aunt had it done 9 months ago, and it gets better and better each time I see her. Good luck, lovely. ❤
Awesome video! When you say retinol eye cream, do you mean prescription tretinoin under the eye or just an over the counter retinol product? Thank you!
I have zero wrinkles (even crow’s feet) at 58 years old except for two very fine lines; one under each eye. I do wear silicone scar removal pads over them at night (it really helps) but I also have had the Peter Thomas Roth stuff. It works fantastic but it leaves a white residue under my eyes which I hate. There are many brands of this stuff out there nowadays so I suspect another brand would be better.

Dr. Youn, how are malar bags/festoons handled? I've always had them, but now that I'm getting older and my under eye is hollowed - the malar bags look even worse!
Had lower bleph in July this year. An eye specialist did it. Until now I'm very satisfied, although healing is still in progress and the final results are yet to come. Now I just need to work on lower eyelid skin quality, cos surgery don't fix it.
Surgical browlifts also "unload" some of the heaviness of tissues so that the frontalis muscle acts against less load, making less the need of botox. For treating lateral hooding specially if severe surgical is the way to go. Malar mounds are a thoug one.

Doctor Youn ,I love and follow good plastic surgeons, I have learned a lot, unfortunately too many of your products cannot be ordered here in Tuscany, but I am looking for something similar from Eucerin or another Evropea brand, I have a problem with dark skin under the eyes due to which is almost transparent and also a little pulled in with a thin line that starts in the corner of the eye. I'm interested in putting a little botox in that straight line that starts from the corner of the eye, I'm 42 and two years old in April. Thank you

If you get botox on your frown lines to "lift" them out of a resting frown, will that prevent you from frowning when it would be expected?? Because sometimes a frown is very appropriate to show empathy or disapproval.
OK, so if you have heavy lid upper lids and you have to do Botox kind of like that spock look that raised it up isn’t that gonna stretch the skin higher to give the appearance that they’re not as hooded
Last year blepharoplasty was performed on my eyes. The recovery process went well with gradual improvement and just after six months the swelling in the lower eyelid appeared. the operation was supposed to have a permanent solution to the problem but in my case, it did not work as planned. What solution can be offered?
Thanks doctor. I got this filler (Juviderm) under the eyes and the first months I look good but I didn’t know that Juviderm attracted water and I ended up going to this other doctor that put 1 syringe under each eye and I ended up with this things called Festones.. Well 3 days ago I got my lower eye lid surgery and they injected something to dissolve the fillers. Now I’m afraid because you mentioned that conventional lower eye lid may pull your skim down. I’m so worried because I been through hell with all of this 😢
Maybe you should get your thyroid checked. I had the same problems and found out it was severe hypothyroidism. Can't hurt to check. Gp can do it. T3, T4, TSH, Thyroid Antibodies, at the least. Good luck.

QQQ ...I am wondering if red light therapy wand or mask would help at least reduce the puffy under eye (due to fat)?? Increase collagen/firmness of skin to hold the fat a bit flatter? I am hoping.... =)
Great video! My issue is skin laxity under eyes and upper cheek. I'm 52, have no wrinkles, no puffiness, no bulging but what seems to be xtra skin. When I smile, I def look like I have bags but in relaxed state, not so much. I believe I've lost too much fat around outer, lower eye. In general, would you recommend a skin pinch to remove excess skin or fat graft/filler to fill in what used to be there.
Consider Sculptura bio stimulator. I had 6 vials, my cheeks, jaws, temples looks 10 years younger. Does not help under eyes however because it fills the high check area, the under eyes flows down much better than before. I am very pleased. But they say, if you are going to have a face lift, it makes your surgery more difficult as the injection leaves marks under the skin.
my upper lids are staying puffy I’ve noticed. They never used to be this way only having a slight ‘puff’ I’m only 36 I guess I’m can’t look forward to aging gracefully
I have heard that the antiprostaglandins that are used to treat glaucoma shrink the fat around your eyes and cause hollowing. Im younger than my siblings but i have some hollowing, although not too bad and surgery helped resolve my glaucoma.
Hi, I wonder if I could please ask you what the name of the type of surgery you did on your glaucoma? It would be very helpful for me to know this. And did it stop it? Do you have to take eye medication for glaucoma? I am 51 and have had glaucoma for 10 years and are taking medication for my eyes. The skin around my eyes are hallowed. Hope you see my message. And of course also to the doctor, thank you for your video. All the best and good vibes here from Norway
I have no brows to pluck..never tweezed, plucked or anything, but what was sparse to begin with is now withering away. On top of this the upperlid suddenly has excess flesh/skin and what used to be a great upper eye with lots of space is now drooping and starting to look hooded😂😂all this getting old stuff is exhausting!! Cant even do the brow lift coz damned alopecia will probably rear itself again then this scar will be there for all and sundry to see....whoosa to self acceptance 😂

Thanks for being you, Dr Youn!!
i think if cosmetic surgery would be reasonably affordable, more people would do it, instead of plucking, tweezing and contouring with foundation and bronzer. Why cant i find a suga daddy or mommy or even just win the lottery, is that asking for too much 😭
Sorry but I would be making an appointment IF I could afford it. I don’t see anything wrong with trying not to “look” old, especially if it makes you feel better about yourself.

I never thought about that. I always rub my eyes in the morning. Now I’ll be a little more careful.
You should use your ring(index finger) only to apply cream and pat it instead of rubbing. It allows the least amount of pressure to your skin.

And of course also to the doctor, thank you for your video. All the best and good vibes here from Norway
@gitterunaolsen1169 it was a Stent that was put in the same time as cataract surgery. It is a little piece of very inert metal.
@@madelainedusseau4293 🙏🤍Thank you so much
15:29 min: 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂YOU'RE GREAT, DOCTOR YOUN !!!!!
a different doctor said rentinol under the eye create a hollowing out it that true?
I have also heard same!!!
I absolutely love this video
Thank You!
Your podcasts are informative. The extra sounds added and manipulative video effects detract from the information presented.
How about tixel for eyelids.
Eye bags are caused by kidney problems, the intake of high sugar as well.
High salt intake also
Or you are born with it. Genetic.
Pls review neogen plasma for droopy eyes
The only thing I did not like about Botox was a slight arching on one brow..,which did not arch before
The injector accidentally gave you Spock brow. That is avoidable so try again with a more reputable esthetician.
You should use a before and after shot------------- that way we see what you mean EXACTLY. The finished product.
Your a comedian too! LoL
2:36 Hmm, I don’t know… to me, she also looks like she’s lifting her eyebrows?
I love the editing on this video! Lol
Lmfao video was informative luvvvvvvv the editing ❤❤❤❤
Great podcast! And now I know where everyone is getting that sound bite from : "WHAAAAT'S THAAAT? WHAT IS THAT!?" lol
Originally from SNL & Steve Martin.
what happened to the video?? so many inserts😢
I wish I could stop watching these videos. So glad I’m not on TikTok. I do wonder why he doesn’t address normal eyebrows, weight, skin, etc.
❤good one
He has spent ages on the eyebrows, and he has started the eyebrows again??? i am of....This is borning..............
I strongly suggest you pull the memes. This audience is here for information, and yours is valuable. Adding entertainment is a waste of their time.
To you …. Please speak for yourself or use the word “most” because it’s definitely not all of his audience
I enjoy the memes and humor, so Mediacoach is not speaking for most of the audience here. Education that is also entertaining is a perfect matrix for me. The content is easier to absorb because I am engaged in paying attention -- because I am entertained. You can find educational and boring in lots of other podcasts and videos. Thanks for being you, Dr Youn!!
I”m here to inform you that Dr Youn is the BEYONCE of his craft.😘
I agree. This particular video is too heavy on the silly memes. Usually he finds a better balance.
I totally agree, skip the memes, they are not fun, just boring
i think if cosmetic surgery would be reasonably affordable, more people would do it, instead of plucking, tweezing and contouring with foundation and bronzer. Why cant i find a suga daddy or mommy or even just win the lottery, is that asking for too much 😭
Sorry but I would be making an appointment IF I could afford it. I don’t see anything wrong with trying not to “look” old, especially if it makes you feel better about yourself.
Yeah, I say for $30 k to put everything where it belongs you’d have a nice playground
😢😢😢Listening to you reminds me of the movie Wrong Turn.😰
Those bat wing eyebrows are so Unnatural Appearing
