Apparently there was about 30 minutes of Thanos deleted scenes. What do you think was in them?
ScreenCrush his past as a child.
I think there's the scene where he takes the power Stone from Xandar then destroys it by testing the stone, I also think there might be a scene where it shows/explains what Thanos did to his home world of Titan.
Deadpool and Thanos find each other and try to kill each other
ScreenCrush But his not a god nor do the stones give him the power of a god to create he can only kill. Also the only god (peters dad) who was killed could create life but he just wanted to kill everyone in the universe so maybe gods are just lunatics.
ScreenCrush good video very entertaining will subscribe for it!
Hooray Avengers won!

Avengers: 1
Thanos: 14,000,603
Right? So Thanos is dead only in 1 dimension, in the rest he succeeded killing half of the population.
andy hollad not dimensions, timelines
thats right , Thanos is really inevitable
It actually means in every other timeline. Strange will find a way in 14 million and use that plan to defeat thanos. Whatever happened in this timeline is bound to happen in other ones too. Meaning Thanos will get defeated eventually.
Orr, dr strange HAD TO SAY THAT to get that outcome,
"I'll do it myself"
*proceeds to wait three years to search for the infinity stones*
That's just because he had the perfect butt indentation in his chair. It fit firmly and snugly around his butt and it took him many years to get that chair to be perfectly molded to his ass. You don't just give that up to acquire the ultimate power in the universe. You savor that moment as long as you can and only get out of the chair if you absolutely have to!

I used to theorize about how odin's death was a catalyst for Thanos's timing, however I think the answer is much simpler. I believe he was waiting to make a final move until he knew where all the stones were. The soul stone was the key. He was unaware of the soul stone's location until Nebula was captured. Once he knew how to get the soul stone's location, the entire plan went into full effect.
Odin's death was part of it, thanos always knew gamora lied and didn't bother bringing it up until it became relevant, I believe he didn't go for them earlier because odin was strong enough to defeat him and had a stronger army (as per rocket in the deleted scenes the army thanos used is considered a complete joke, meanwhile odin conquered the 9 realms with hela by his side), if he waited long enough thor would have gotten that power and be able to stand in his way (the emotion of fear towards powerful beings from thanos was presented to us when he fought captain marvel and sw in endgame and if not for the distraction of the gauntlet captain marvel could have defeated him and his army on her own, although I do find it odd that the kree never allowed her existence to be known as it seemed to be a complete surprise to thanos.
@@user-ep8ns6hg4q I feel like Thanos was supposed to be too resistant for Captain Marvel to defeat alone. He was much slower than her though
@@ThePipojp Supposed to be yes, but as we learn in Captain Marvel Korath and Ronan were well aware of her, in GOTG Korath referred to Thanos as the most powerful being in the universe with Ronan essentially confirming it when he took the the stone (although his comment would also would imply that having a stone would make one more powerful than Thanos, or at least the power stone that is).
I guess it would depend on what degree of the tesseracts power she has access to.

Minor correction: thats the way -life- _video games_ work.
Facts 😂😂😂 like ok my nigga got clapped.... I’ll do it myself
That's how Mafia works
The path to competence is paved with failure.
Those are some facts
Thanos needed the Power stone first, and once get revealed himself he needed to act fast. The 2nd stone to get would've been the Space Stone, which would allow him to use his power stone over a distance, and allow him to teleport himself anywhere.
These two stones were vital to him acting so quickly.
The Reality stone next would've been a smart movie, since he could cloak himself in the reality.
The Soul Stone could've been collected at any point after the power and space stones, but since he had Gamorra already, it would've been logical to collect next.
Getting the Time Stone at this point should've been priority, it would allow him to manipulate time and give himself do-overs, like what happens with Vision.
The Stones work together to do different things, if you notice in the movie, when Thanos does some things like Teleport, or even grab a moon and throw it at Tony, you'll notice more than one stone glows. The Stones are needed to work together to do different things, such as projecting the power of the power stone through space (space stone) and grabbing a moon and throwing it at Tony through a space portal. This is also why he needed ALL stones to "snap" his fingers and remove half the universe.
The Soul Stone ties the stones together with Thanos' soul, so they know exactly what he wants to do, they dont just kill half the universe, they 'remove' half the universe exactly as he perceived it, in half, randomly, and not targeted races that were already "cleansed" by thanos in the past. This will, coupled with the Mind stone, worked out the logic to do this, since the Mind Stone gave him infinite knowledge to work out all the variables. The Space stone spread it universally. The Reality Stone is the reality he perceived in his mind and soul and it changed that reality to what he wished. The Power Stone powered it, and the Time Stone ensured the reality was glued to time so it became a permanent reality.
WOW THIS WAS EXAMPLED PERFECTLY WELL DONE
Yeah and doesn't the Power stone charge up the rest to full power? Like how Loki needed specific conditions to open portals in the Avengers but Thanos could on a whim. That makes the first 2 stones obvious choices.
I think you're probably very smart lol
Wow... Hats off to you man... You are one committed MCU fan for sure
Correct. The power stone would be the one he would use for physical combat (see the hulk get his ass handed to him.) After that, ti's free reign.

Avengers 5: Thanos and his underwear gauntlet
I like the Odin, Ancient one, and Ego theory because it connects the movies more.
Cougar Kids this video literally connects the MCU in ways I didn't think were possible
Yeah but ego doesn’t give a fuck about earth, Odin didn’t care about earth in his older age just shown in the movies so if it died he would be mad but he could have given that much of a fuck and the ancient one would have tried to stop that but she also was being controlled by dormammu so he would have told her to stop and that’s why it doesn’t make any sense
KING OF NERDS some of them might not about earth but they do care about half the universe
KING OF NERDS ancient one wasnt controlled by dormammu though....... Also Odin would have cared because half of the asgardians could have died. Also it makes sense cause with Odin protecting the drawfs thanos wouldn't have been able to make the gauntlet..... Ego didn't care about earth yet he did care about dominating the universe which might have interfered. Him being alive has the least effect on the whole situation. Ancient one and Odin make sense though no doubt. ....
Cougar Kids The problem with this is that it's only theories and should have been confirmed within the movies themselves.

He was a tyrant with a following.
Truly mad

They messed thanos up in endgame. All the character development destroyed.
Thanos was damn near unstoppable. Even the Marvel Dyke couldn't handle him.
SHIELD has fallen. The ancient one is dead. All Father Odin has perished. Ego was destroyed. Nova Crops are weakened. Avengers are split apart. Now was the perfect time.
Bonje Maatje i dont think thanos gives a single shit about shield or nova lmao. and as long as he gained a stone or two odin would pose no threat. we dont know the lengths of the ancient ones power, ego was just a powerful asshole he could deal with later
Meh, both shield and nova are actually very strong. I mean, if shield would be around, maybe they couldve helped in the fight in wakanda. Maybe nova corps would be able to help at Knowhere (the place where the collecter keeps his shit). Odin is very very powerfull, like, super very powerfull. Thats why hela was able to escape, because he died. He is stronger than Thor, obvs, because thor wasnt able to beat Hela and odin just locked her up. The Ancient one.. well idk. She seemed powerfull, and I mean, she couldve been usefull in the fight against thanos and the black order. And well, Ego was trying to like overtake the whole universe. If thanos wiped out half, there was a 50% chance ego would die too. He might be a villain, but he wouldnt like dying. Im pretty sure he would atleast try to kill thanos. And maybe win, idk?
Dame Time even with the stones. Odin still had the Odin force. He is more than capable of going toe to toe with thanos
The Last Hero He had the mind stone, which he gave to Loki in the hopes that he would bring back the space stone with him.
Dame Time thanos with all the stones would have a very difficult time defeating odin
Odin's death definitely rocked the entire Universe, at least the 9 realms. With Asgard destroyed and Asgard's people on a defenseless ship, with a former Thanos lackey aka Loki, was a perfect time for Thanos to attack.
Everything else seems legit, but do not downplay Odin's death.
yeah, but given that the rest of the universe would be infinite in size, the 9 realms may have had little material effect on it. Maybe not 'rocked' the universe, but a disturbing ripple. If I was Thanos, I would have just ignored the 9 realms and dealt with the bigger prize, effectively blockading the 9 into a little corner of the universe.
I think odins death was definitely what set his plan into motion. It’s no coincidence that right after the events of ragnarok, thanos destroys Xandar and shows up at the asgardians ship to take the space stone.
@@emob9246 but again, why care? the 9 realms is just a piece of the much larger universe, outside of Odin's ken.
@@fordprefectiii The 9 realms being under Odins direct protection doesn't mean he wouldn't interfere if Thanos went ham on the rest of the universe. Besides, Africa is much bigger than Europe or the USA, yet we don't care about it at all from a global power standpoint.
fordprefectiii Odin might’ve been the only one who could’ve stopped thanos
I'm personally more under the belief that he just waited for the stones to reveal themselves since he never knew where the Reality, Time and Soul Stone were and also the whole Power Stone being underwater problem. He decided to invade planets in order to have the stones be used against him.
Fast forward:
1. Waited for Odin to die
2. Waited for the ancient one to die
3. Waited for ego to die
And waited for.yondu to die
So his life's goal depended on the elimination of three of the most powerful beings in the universe, TWO OF WHOM ARE IMMORTAL, and his solution was to wait them out?
Yeah. Nah.

He addressed the Ego point pretty well - nobody really knew Ego was around, and he was being rather subtle with his plan.
Thanos is a master delegator. He thought that the people he delegated to were up to the task. That is the mark of a great leader: having confidence in your people. When they showed that they were unable to complete the tasks, he had to step in to show how it is done.
Take Bill Gates for example: as he was building up Microsoft, he learned how to delegate responsibilities to other people. But one time he did phone tech support and customer service after the company was well built. And he nailed it. It was one of the best calls taken throughout the company.
I, for one, am impressed with the leadership principles which the Russo Brothers showed in Infinity War.
This comment deserves more likes.
The movie Infinity War just shows how well scripted the movie has been prepared and how GREAT the Russo brothers managed to compress COMPLEX ideas into an easy-to-understand movie. Infinity War is one of the best movies of all time.

Black Order : *fails*
Thanos : Dammit guys, you made me stand up from my throne !
Thanos: Fine, I’ll do it myself
Black Order: What about the wretched mongrels that opposed Loki and our forces?!
Thanos: Let them fight like a bunch of little children. Once they are torn apart, then I shall strike
Black Order: How?
Zemo: I have a plan
The real reason was because he hadn’t figured out where the soul stone was. That is until Nebula tried to assassinate him but ended up captured. She would end up revealing that Gamora had indeed found the Soul stone, allowing him to start his universal genocide. If he had started sooner without knowing its whereabouts, the whole universe may have been ready to fight against him.
Random question ive wondered, who was guarding the soulstone before Red Skull?
I came here to make this exact comment.
This is definitely it. He needed all six and had no idea on the soul stone until he caught nebula.
Any answer could fit, my personal one is that no one was guarding it but the soul stone felt that the reunion was coming so it chose Red Skull to guide the one that would unite the stones, but it could be wrong because based on how the Red Skull spoke to Thanos, he was not the first one to reach the stone, he was just the first one to take it.
there's a theory that says odin first weild all the stones (that's why the gauntlet is asgardian) so redskull being send onthis weird planet by space stone to protect soul stones could have been sent in the past by timestone by odin himself, or we could concider that the stones have their own consciousness and as the space stones send him to prtect the soulstone, they might be linked somehow so the timestone could have sent him in the past (he seems a little spectral like if lost his physical existence so he could survive all these years thanks to soulstone or just was send at this moment by timestone because someone came so that he could have been the guard of the soulstone a long time ago before his own birth anyway, time traveling to every moment where someone came on this planet)
Here's my theory, the end credit scene in Avengers age of ultron supposedly happened after guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 because thanos needed nebula's memory file to locate the last infinity Stone, the soul Stone, then once he found it, he decided to go after the stones himself!
I think the "Fine I'll do it myself" moment was before he captured Nebula, and before he attacked Xandar and Ragnarok . He needed Nebula and her memory files to find out of Gamora actually found the Soul Stone, then he picked up the Gauntlet at Nidavellir and the he went for the stones .
No good he knew gamora founded it for years he just made her believe she got away with it
this comment is underrated. Thanos knows that if he overplays his hand without having a plan for all the stones, that he's going to get everyone after him. Does him no good to have five without the soul stone. Once the Soul stone is found, it's game on, and he can move to the second stage - collecting the stones one by one. The less of his hand that Thanos has to tip for each stone collected, the better off he is, because with each stone he's that much more powerful.
GotG Vol. 2 chronologically takes place few months after GotG 1 as for the Thanos post credit scene in Age of Ultron, that probably takes place right before the events of Infinity War.

Thanos: what? This chair can float and has seat warmers
Imnotyt he didnt know where the Stone was Thats why he took so long time
To be fair, that did look like a super comfortable chair. Tailor made specifically for Thanos. He was probably working on creating the perfect ass indentation in the chair. You can't rush these things! They take time and dedication!
Your're forgetting the most obvious answer.
Thanos is an Eternal, which means he is immortal. Time means nothing to him. So why not take a long time, centuries even. That way you have every detail figured out, and plenty of plans and strategies to use against those would stop you. Thus ensuring your plans come to fruition , which is what happened.
Not Sure and he's a mutant Eternal which makes him more unique and stronger, dont forget he's the grandson of Chronos.

Thanos: Needs 2 years to find the power stone.
Finds all the other stones in 2 hours.
It's not cut-and-dry like that. What if the other stones weren't equally obscured from him?
0:55 The reason he didn't double resources is actually a character flaw as opposed to a plot hole, Thanos wanted to destroy half of all life before the infinity stones, in his mind it would've solved issues. And that was his solution way before infinity stones. When the infinity stones become an option he realises he may be incorrect, Thanos' solution may not have been the best one, but instead of rectifying that he denies it, and continues with the worse plan, because so long as he goes with that plan he is correct and he is the one who was right about it all
He also didn't have a plan to find the Soul Stone until he learned through capturing Nebula that Gamora had indeed found it. He wanted to get them all at the same time.
This entire video is completely wrong. So, the question is; 'Why did Thanos wait so long to take the Infinity Stones?' The answer is quite simple.
First, lets look at what we learned about Thanos from Infinity War, above all else, his emotions, his history etc etc, one thing stands out above the rest. Without the stones, he is essentially a very physically strong, mortal being. Odeon could have beaten Thanos in combat, as could Thor. Thanos said it himself in Infinity War that Nebula snuck aboard his ship and tried to kill him, and was very nearly succesful.
Now lets answer the why, based on what we know. Think about it, no one in the universe is even 100% sure Thanos is even alive, let alone what he's plotting, THAT is his greatest strength. If it wasn't obvious, he spends his time in a shit hole in the middle of space. Now, Thor is very much aware of the Infinity Stones, as is Oden, Loki, Ego, Heimdel and probably even the Grandmaster among many others living in the known universe. So, what do you think would have happened if word got out that Thanos either A) Showed up on Earth to collect the Tesseract, Mind Stone or Time Stone B) Arrived on Asgard during the events of Thor: The Dark World to collect the Reality Stone, C) Showed up on Zandar for the Orb after the Guardians had literally just been there, or D) Began scowering every nook and cranny in the universe looking for the Soul Stone? Word would have gotten out to any one of the multiple, powerful people in the universe and before you know it, he would have had an army of combined forces coming for him. He would have died, plain and simple. I mean, yes, the stones make him powerful. But look at what Thor did to him even when he had all stones, Stormbreaker shit right through his powers and hit him right in the chest. When he had 4 stones, Iron man and Co still managed to beat him down to a point where he was almost beaten. My point is, it just wouldn't have work, Asgardian forces would have disposed of him within a second of knowing what he was upto. So what does he do? He employs people to find the stones for him, people he knows are either scared of him, loyal to him, or to power hungry to say no (i.e Ronan).
Now, lets look at why he went full force when he did. And I'm sorry, but it really is THAT obvious. Thor said in Infinity War that Thanos decimated Zandar last week. Now, it's safe to assume that while Asgard was in chaos under Hella's rule, Thanos traveled to Zandar, destroyed the place and took the Power Stone, arguably one of the most important stones for him to use during combat. Once he did that he traveled to Nidavellir where, using the Power Stone, forced Eitri to make his Infinity Gauntlet (after he realized the one he took from Asgard was a fake) and then moved on to confront Thor and the rest of his people in open combat where he knew, with the power of the Orb, he could hopefully kill and take the Tesseract for himself.
Long story short, exposing himself out in the open attempting to obtain all stones would have been futile and most certainly gotten him killed, he couldn't have even forced Eitri to make an Infinity Gauntlet for him while Nidavellir was still under Asgardian protection for starters. So he bided his time, used others to do his bidding for him and chose the near perfect moment to strike.
Lol, starts with, his plan is quite simple, then goes on for half a page.
Imma keep it real with you dawg.. ain’t no one reading that shit
How did he know the gauntlet was fake when it was destroyed in Thor Ragnarok? 🤷
Best explanation
Just one thing, Thanos is well known in GOTG and probably in other parts of the universe as well at that point.
1. Odin was still alive
2. Hella dies which makes him the most powerful being in the universe with or without the stones
3. All his henchmen failed him
I personally always just thought he was waiting to confirm locations on all 6 before moving to strike openly.
Thor even has a throwaway line at the end of Age if Ultron “this is the third infinity stone to appear in the last 3 years; someone’s playing an elaborate game, and they’ve made pawns of us all.”
I think Thanos was using the one he had (mind stone) to bait out the others from hiding. (Like the power stone which was dormant for centuries and then shortly after the first stone came into play was suddenly sought after by multiple groups of unrelated origin and intent.
The whole ploy was to get them in the open. Into the hands of people with no concept of what they were handling to keep an easier eye on it.
Once word got around that an infinity stone was in play, and had been used, it would ignite a kind of desperate search for others by unlikely people. Not even mentioning that the stones are implied to have a will of their own (in Thor 2 Malekith talks about the Aether like it has a mind of its own.
I think what Thor said at the end of Age of Ultron is the reasoning.
He was trying to get all the stones (or as many as he could) moving in the open so he could keep tabs on the group as opposed to relying on whispers and rumors on how to find them.
Plus, Banner and Stark work out a tracking algorithm to trace the Tesseract; no reason thanos couldn’t have similar technology for keeping tabs on stones whose energy signatures he’s identified.
Well if u watched the film and paid close attention, you’d know that thanos didn’t get the stones sooner because he had nothing that could withstand their power and contain them with for him to still use, ie the gauntlet, and he couldn’t get the gauntlet any sooner because he had to wait for Asgard to fall so that they weren’t protecting the dwarfs, which are the only species capable of making the gauntlet
If the resources are doubled, I argue that population would also explode to a large amount, resources would drain quickly, and the planet would deteriorate.
Yes! Makes sense
Valid argument. Probably it really would have gone that way
Yup ...if we clearly noticed the population from 20 th century to 21 st century is almost tripple'd ... doubling resources is just a hypothesis ...
More planets can be made from all the matter comprising the countless asteroids in our solar system alone-to day nothing of the rest of the universe. There are lightyears of empty space between solar systems so adding more planets wouldn’t mess with gravity or anything
The exact same thing happens with halving the population though.
He was spending years manually going from world to world doing slaughter, learning as much about the stones as possible so he can use them and their respective capabilities/powers straight away as we see him do and having his agents search for them
Just watched Infinity War again and it was even more a joy to watch from Thanos’ perspective. It was a great lesson to see what focus, determination and will get you. Total success.
He waited cause its the MCU and not the Jump ahead DCEU crapfest
he waited because he didn't want be like an evil version of the heroes he was fighting like every other mcu villain pretty much, excusing loki of course
I agree
I think you are mostly right, but it also includes a healthy dose of waiting for the right story to emerge, and not wanting to make the same 1dimensional villain.
The script for infinity War has actually been around, in one form or another, since right before the first avengers movie. It wasn’t until Fiege&Kennedy put the Russo’s in charge of it, after their last MCU movie. That the script was finalized, 4yrs ago.
Outta slap you for that comment.
Good point.
Q: Why did Thanos wait so long?
A: Odin was alive
isaiah james wouldnt have mattered. He knew about the space and mind stones, he couldve easily defeated Odin with them.
Odin controlled the Odin force the universe itself born before the stones
isaiah james
Hail Odin
Samuel Freeman what do you mean by this?
Tony H wouldn’t mean shit. Odin is seriously OP
I just like the theories because it helps link all the movies together

Hi everyone, apologies for the re-upload, especially if you commented on the first video. We had some good discussions going. There was a problem with the first version that we had to correct. You guys are the best!

The original video had copyrighted music during the "shots fired" gag. :D
Casey McMurtry yep
Screencrush so he could have a little bit more of a challenge and make em be prepared for his madness of the infinity stones
ScreenCrush if he made more resources then there would be more wars for it and the spacific item that’s why he killed half of the universe so that there won’t be more wars
I agree, morally, that he could have just doubled the universe's resources. But, then it gives the diverse races of the universe NO incentive to stop their never ending consumption and breeding. Then he'd have to double again, and again, and again. With his way, he not only saved the universe from itself, he also taught all living beings a lesson. Appreciate and respect what you have, rather than being a locust. Again, I'm very much against genocide/murder, but I see him as more of a force of nature.
Correct. Gamora's home planet, according to Thanos (if we trust his word on it), is now a better place than what it used to be before his invasion. He taught them a lesson of thoughtful consumption. And they understand that if they'll have another overpopulation on their hands, the whole civilization becomes a prey to Thanos forces once more to weed out. In this case, Thanos does seem to be a force of nature.
Why not make infinite resources
Josh Abraham I get that, buy at what point do they stop? Because infinite resources means infinite reproduction which means infinite expansion which means infinite colonization which leads to conflict of interests as all of these races compete for space. There's so many philosophical and logistical explorations here.
Josh Abraham
Matter cannot be created or destroyed.
Penzhi
He has the Stones that control every part of the universe. That lets him control the rules including the idea that matter can’t be created or destroyed
This was actually very articulate..nice job
I rhink thanos waited because Disney had another 6B+ dollars to make in other films 😂
The TRUE reason
Wasn’t it mentioned that he couldn’t get a device strong enough to hold the infinity stones because Odin protected the dwarves and Odins army is completely devastating in battle, so when asguard was destroyed and Odin died he was able to get the infinity gauntlet made.
But he's had the gauntlet since Age of Ultron, man
Ya, as soon as assgaurd was destroyed, he was there with his ship, ready to board Thor's
that is a huge plot hole no one seems to bring up. how did he have the gauntlet during ultron, if asgard was still around to protect the dwarves?
I'm pretty sure that before Ultron that Thanos went to Nivadellir to make the dwarf king forge the gauntlet for him, which was mentioned in IW. The fake one was on Asgard.
I might be wrong actually but I still think that's what hapened
You can’t double resources. Thanos said this already. The resources are finite. And the reality stone only alters the face of reality, you can’t use it to turn rocks into bread and feed it to people. Consider yourself corrected.
My sources are the laws of physics. Marvel likes to try to stick to natural laws
But he can turn bullets into bubbles, think again
TheFirstTime it’s at the discretion of the script writer, if he just doubled the resources then you wouldn’t have a movie then would you?
@@MrTeucro99 and also, he turned them into legos and fries!! people don't understand, thanos made a woman version of himself to make death jealous
Dmeads 56 you lost just admit it
Your theories are on solid ground.
he needed to wait for Ragnarock to happen so odin or the 9 realms dosent have protection
I was surprised that Thanos didn't cause Raganrok, tbh
I still dont understand why they all speak english😅
I am LEGEND mlbb Yeah, I feel like if they spoke their native language too with subs it would've been realer
Lloyd Harris
“Realer”
"English" in the MCU most likely originated from outer space or somewhere from the nine realms, and the extraterrestrial visitors taught the primitive humans the language.
Shhhh!! There are certain things in a movie that should not be questioned, Infidel!!
RandomThings // Ron Mamon
Ohh...that makes sense
Tnx
I think it is because Thanos has no gauntlet because the dwarfs were protected by Asgard and Odin but then Thor Ragnarok happened and then Asgard is destroyed Odin is dead the dwarf’s had no protection from the strongest army in all the 9 realms.
thank you!! I think is the only reason actually! without the gauntlet he couldn't control them!
I like this theory the most, but the times don't sync up. Thanos has the gauntlet by the end of Age of Ultron, and we know Hulk disappeared for 2 year after Ultron by the time of Ragnarok, so bit of inconsistency by the film makers, as the dwarves say Odin didn't protect them in Infinity War, implying Thanos has JUST attacked them... catch my drift?
Sev Bazil ya I do
Sev Bazil yea so that mean the dwarfs been dead for 2 years now ...
Odin would have raped thanos without gauntlet and stones.
Great theory. Aligns with what i was thinking as well.
Great Theory! 🔥👊
Is because of Nebula. As soon as he saw her memory files he found the last stone.
1:10 For the same reason that Disney, when they bought up the land on which they were going to build Disney World, did so through numerous smaller companies rather than being upfront about it: because he didn't want to draw attention to himself. Which would have been a major issue for him, because until recently he had no idea where all six Infinity Stones were. Look at the timing: he didn't make an overt move for the stones until he captured Nebula and found out how he could get to the Soul Gem. Knowing where all six were allowed him to move fast and snatch them all up before any major powers in the universe had a chance to react. If he'd made an overt move beforehand then he would've been ultimately screwed, because he would've ended up with only four or five of the stones, with the full set out of reach.
I think the death of Odin was a pretty major factor. He couldn't safely attack the Star Forge if Odin was still around.
One problem: Thanos aquired his Gauntlet in the post credits scene in Age of Ultron, which is set three years before Infinity War

Lol
According to the novel he only learned of the stones maybe 10 to 15 yrs before collecting them. This is supported by Gamora's age. He found her well before he ever wanted the stones.
I keep hearing everyone mention if Thanos had just "wished" for double the resources, this would have solved the problem he saw coming. How is anyone sure that would have solved the problem? On Thanos's planet Titan, he mentioned he foresaw the death of the planet and warned of it. Do we know if they (the Titans) heard his plea, laughed and used their science to doubled their resources but still succumbed to the destruction Thanos feared? It just kinda seems wrong to assume that we know better than someone in hindsight when we were never in that situation in the first place.
Brilliant analysis, you know the first time I came to know about Thanos back in the days was through the toon show called Silver Surfer
Why do y’all consider him waiting as if he didn’t have Loki, Ronan and others doing his bidding? You know in Chess the pawns go out first, right?
Kakarot _3000 lmao that’s a really good phrase comparison, my guy
Bob Pickleson haha. Appreciate that, mate.
"In Chess the pawns go first." - Magneto X-men 3
Thanos took Denzel Washington in Training Day to heart: This shit's chess, it ain't checkers!
Nick Young lol
I’m personally happy they kept me waiting so long. I was invested in every single hero, and wasn’t disappointed they got less screen time than Thanos, since I already knew them so well.
Unlike Dc, who banked on our knowledge and love from past unconnected movies. Marvel built an empire that is only rivalled by the Monster universe of the Black and White days. Another good example of building loyalty first, and connecting them second.
Pretty bloody good video.
I think because of Ronan's attack and the damage caused by Ego's Expansion Xandar was weakened. And by process of elimination Xandar is at their most vulnerable state. Plus Power stone will help him overcome stronger enemies like Thor.
The answer is so simple. He sent goons like Ronin and Loki to take out his biggest threats. Making his job easier
to be fair though he kicked Hulks ass (he might have been using the power stone), and it seemed like a fair fight. I can see him fighting whoever whenever.
He played all them fools like a fiddle. It's what a boss does
@@docalien4074 If you look at it like the Hulk x Thanos fight. Thanos know when and where to strike. Every move calculated. He wouldn't jepordise his aim so foolishly by fighting the combined might of a resistance if he thought he'd lose. The order in which he acquired each stone was even strategic
Well, he has an ever growing army of those creatures, and his collection of bounty hunter children. He enslaved hundreds of planets before getting the power stone, and he even had the mind stone at some point! (gave it to loki). I feel like hes pretty well off. Ronin and Loki even lost.... collectively they had 3 stones...
THANOS WENT %50 FIGHTING HULK
He waited so long because he wanted to know where all the stones are located at and then he will make his move. In Infinity War, he got them pretty quick cause he knew where they all at.
Pretty good man!
this video showed up in my recommended recently. at 0:53, it talks about doubling the resources instead of wiping half the universe which i'm sure by now is understood to not work as that would be creating matter out of nothing.
think its cause he didnt know where the Soul Stone was until Nebula tried sneaking on his ship to kill him, he captured her and found out Gamora knew so he had to find her and lure her out. Thats why he attacked Xander first, he thought the Guardians would come to its rescue, thats why he waited a week before moving on to Asguard.

is there a secret search engine where content creators find any scene from any film in any sentence like "fine I'll do it myself" ?
HBPLUS nah just Marvel nerds remember what movie they happened in and pull the clips off of Google/RUclips
You could arguably just type the quote into google.. for some reason people split up clips of movies and quotes on the internet all the time. I always wonder who tf does this with their spare time but .. some people do
@@buttersstotch2014 yarnio is pretty good for that. They have lots of obscure movie quotes that no one would bother uploading to RUclips
Sky remote.
So did dormamu play a role in any of this as well?
Let's not forget that thanos had the mind stone, and also just happened to know exactly the extent and power of the other stones seconds after obtaining them, so he probably foresaw at least some details, along with other things such as what each stone does exactly and how to use them.
There is an easy explaination for Thanos giving Loki the mind stone. Judging from Infinity War the stones have an area of effect, ie: they must be in an undefined proximity to the object they are affecting. It could be explained that Thanos used the mindstone to corrupt Loki (thus redeeming the character a bit) but that in order to maintain that corruption the mindstone had to remain relatively close to Loki. This also explains why once removed from the vicinity of the mindstone and in subsequent apparences Loki was less overtly evil.
You make a compelling argument. I decided to approach it like a long chess game. All attempts made by Thanos to acquire the Infinity Stones only make up half of the moves that led to the endgame. Loki and Ronan both pulled focus with their long speeches and murderous rampages. Giving the Mind Stone to Loki was just another calculated risk. However, rather than make another gambit for the Tesseract, Mind Stone or Power Stone, Thanos would bide his time, remaining a silent player content with the knowledge of where the stones were located. The Tesseract to Asgard, the Mind Stone on Earth, the Power Stone on Xandar.
The Aether and Time Stone being revealed were the results of moves from other individuals without Thanos. Like in chess, the other half of all moves are made by the opponent. The conclusion of these revelations led to the Aether being left with the Collector and the Time Stone remaining with the Sorcerer Supreme.
Already provided the location of the Soul Stone, Thanos would finally take direct action to acquire all 6 stones only after knowing where they were all located.
He was avoiding violence until it was his only option
If there WERE conversations going on in the Marvel team on why Thanos waited, I think they sounded like that. Great job!
Thanos, Hela, Dormammu, and ego were the super powers it seems.
Surtur would be on that list too but i don't see him being used in any more movies kinda of a one off character.
*Cough cough*
Odin.
*cough cough*
Nyraxx Gaming Wait what about x me... nevermind
bigstop I wish they would’ve utilized Surtur more because he’s really bad ass in Norse mythology though he’s made a pussy in Thor Ragnarok
he says in the movie, and its also implied that he waited for the location of the soul stone. if he gathered them one by one, it would have raised too many red flags.
Really good conjecture! Not wanting the combined worlds of the universe to rise up against him before ha can get the job done. And recognizing the unique opportunity afforded by having so many of the Infinity Stones revealed---- some for the first time in millennia----that's really more than enough reason for the 3 year wait and the use of subordinates. (It does seem plausible that the location of the Time Stone would be completely unknown until Dr. Strange uses it so flagrantly. I had thought that too. But tying that back into Mordo's last warning----nice touch.)
Well thought out. Thanos in the movies was a different character than in the comics and his motives or at least he motivations were different.
