- New short-haul seats and cabin interiors will debut on the next generation of British Airways’ Airbus A320neo and A321neos, with eight aircraft set to arrive later this year.
Working with the best of British suppliers from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, our upgraded Euro Traveller and Club Europe designs reflect a modern yet classic British interior.

Especially like the red trim on the headrests! Fabulous job BA.
The 60W USB-C port looks super handy, as well as the USB-A still being there 👍
More legroom in Club Europe please. It's awful!
Theres not. The configuration remains the same.
Yes ! That's unacceptable now.
Seeing as the seats are just economy seats but with a middle seat blocker they won’t. They can customise the size of the cabin this way. Not many European airlines have dedicated business seats in short haul aircraft
Would be difficult to do with the seats meant to be interchangeable between economy and business between flights
@@NaenaeGamingOr we just go back to the old days where the front 10 or so rows had extra legroom so if it was a 6 row Club cabin then front 4 rows of Y had extra legroom too and as usually booked by status holders then it was a nice perk. But I get that BA has to, sadly, compete with Easyjet and Ryanair so needs to pack us in to keep the fares "supposedly" down.
Oh my God, new stitching!! I am totally switching my airline loyalty. Sooo excited.
Love my flying experiences with BA especially having spent a fab time in there lounges then on my way to Venice three times a year
The seats look lovely, let's hope their as comfortable as they look
Always had excellent service with BA, one time visited the cockpit over the atlantic in the days before 911, pilots were top notch and even showed me what the heading knob does.
This looks stunning!
I´m ready for their public / private, right now.
stunning.
The colour scheme is giving ❤
Looks quite luxurious and high class. I still prefer cloth seats, however. They breathe much better.
It would be more game chaning if Club Europe became a row of 2 seats rather then block of the middle seat.
It certainly would, but then they wouldn't be able to adjust the size of the CE cabin for different types of routes. Which means significantly higher fares for a product you don't really get much benefit from on a 1 or 2 hour flight.
That being said, they could DEFNITELY do with offering a much better business class seat and seatback IFE on the mid haul sectors to destinations like IST, LCA, CAI, and AMM
@@yoironfistbro8128the problem then is you’re restricting which aircraft can fly that route.
@@tomstravels520 Nah that's BS. Just because 5 hour flights can be served by a short haul aircraft doesn't mean it's acceptable to do so with a short haul cabin!
@@yoironfistbro8128 I never said it was acceptable. But that means you have to configure certain aircraft to have dedicated business class cabins and then those aircraft will only be used on those routes. And if those aircraft aren’t available then those who have paid for the dedicated business class will be disappointed when a regular all economy seating aircraft turns up with just the middle blocked off. Bit like JB and American have dedicated A321’s to go from east to west coast flights
this is fire!
Woah. Looks like a supercar in there. Nice job Brits!
that's tuff🔥
Can’t wait to seat on their new seat! Next time I will book British airways from LHR to NYC, see how their service and foods was looks like! 👍 🎉❤
This is Euro Traveller/Club Europe for destinations in Europe. LHR to NYC will be World Traveller
@@devon896 With Club Europe now serving destinations as far away as the Levant, it's honestly not THAT much of stretch to fear it could be rolled out on flights to the northeast US.
Nice to see you again Air Canada
These seats are nowhere near as good as the ones on Air Canada.
Love these new seats- so smart, but desperately in need of some extra legroom in Club please.
Won’t happen
Premium economy and Business class have more than economy
@@tomstravels520 It’s a shame as people are getting taller!
@@elijaheverything9644 At least in Club you can utilise room from the empty middle seat.
@@Halfwayto100 yea😀
Woooow👌👌👌🌺
More economy seats labeled as "business". Beautiful.
Very stylish
Looks much smarter - I hope the knee room of the legroom is improved
It won’t. European airlines often have same seats as economy so they can configure the seats per flight
@@tomstravels520 I'm aware of this and that they've gone for the slimline to cram in more seats but the knee room *of* the leg room is often a sticking point, especially for long-legged folks. I know some seat manufacturers have thought of this and slimmed it down
woooow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done BA
I got a seat like this in economy and it was brilliant
Loving the addition of red, but the pattern gives me Delta vibes. Big improvement though
Is this just for the first 12 rows? Is Row 13 onwards still going to be the slimline recaro seating?
It varies depending on the flight and how many business class tickets sold. Been on one before only first 4 rows were business
@@tomstravels520 Yeah but Rows 4-12 are can be Club Europe seating but can be Euro Traveller. Rows 9-12 tend to solely be Euro Traveller but have the ability to be Club Europe. Most EU airlines have the economy seating for Business with middle seat blocked out (sometimes a slightly better seat) but is convertible between the two cabins. We went with TAP air Portugal TP1352 (in our video back in 2019) where we were in a Business Class seat but on an Economy ticket.
nice to see BA catch on modern looking leather/ leather like materials. less cleaning, staining. faster clean up if drinks are spilt in flight and also. does not hold odours like fabrics do.
Little more work in the cabins, like replacing the carpets to ones that do not unravel at the edges Then BA cabins will look and feel fresher for longer
Should do the Entire fleet, both long and short trips if possible. these new seat cover designs look great
Posh seats, but will the service be any better?
Service is always good never had any issues
Nice seats, now when will be IFE be offered on short and a medium haul flight through the wifi, as is common across the pond?
It probably won’t be user that is expensive, heavy and has to be maintained. Besides most people have some sort of device they can watch what they want and not what the airline thinks you might like and can even charge your device
@@tomstravels520 I know most passengers have a device these days. That's why I said through the wifi, not seatback screens.
Looks great. Wish you did more UK airports so didn't have to sit on RyanAir's stone seats
Looks great, especially the red trim! - very British
I just got off an awful (as standard) BA flight, ran out of food on a long haul, and then couldn't get the door open for an hour and half, and the staff all said to blame BA HAHAHA
Will there be ife?
Amazing work I can’t wait to fly again
What is leg room like on domestic flights within the UK at the moment
Same as European. The aircraft are the same
First Thing BA has done right in a Long time! Only if the Business Class was better though with wider seats
Is this the Recaro seat that doesnt recline?
The ones in ET don't recline, which at a 29-30 inch pitch, is proabably a good thing anyway.
Nice to see 60W USBC, should make charging laptops like the MacBook much more convenient!
Airbus was the right choice
Did you pick the wrong piece of music to convey the images.
Sensational !!!
Best Regards From Brazil 🇧🇷
holyyyyyyyy
So I still see you’re keeping Club Europe the exact same, another question are these going to operate on your Euroflyer routes out of Gatwick? Even if I can ever get on one since whenever I fly with you they always end up cancelled. Some of your previous seats have been the exact same as easyJet. I still do hope you’re ditching the recline button though.
The seats in Club Europe will recline while the ones in Euro Traveller will not.
I thought by the video it was a delta/AA style premium economy seat but with no tv sort of thing to replace club Europe but it’s not
☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️😍😍😍😍
If a plane turns up, unlike the debacle with South West Airlines, then I'm good.
💎♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
One of the few things North American carriers do right is having actual First/Business class seats at the front of short haul aircraft. They’re significantly wider with more legroom. It’d be nice to see one European carrier follow suit!
They won’t be user it’s a different strategy. The European way allows airlines to customise the amount of seats for a flight. If not many business class tickets sell, they can shrink the cabin and sell more economy tickets. Also many european airlines (not all) the difference between economy and business is less than US because they know you get same seat as economy
That and IFE of some sort is pretty much a given. Meanwhile in Europe there's no IFE whatsoever, not even BYOD
BA the flight cancellations airline 😊
What rubbish fly often never had onecancel
@@Andrew.-.- i had 3 cancellations with them
Why does this seem familiar?
Basically Delta seats 6 years ago…😂
Before any of this, BA should focus on actually operating the flights they’ve scheduled. Many experiences of flights being cancelled several hours before departure.
Honestly im not bothered about the physical club europe seat, its not bad. But the fact it doesnt have extra leg room is the issue
That’s how most European airlines operate
Leg room is fine
I thought it is Blackbolt uniform
So we will still see economy class seating at hugely inflated prices parading as 'Club Europe'...............................BA need to get a grip and design a Club Europe cabin that justifies the fares - ie TWO seats on either side not 3.
Get a real business class seat instead of those economy seats where the middle seat functions as a hand rest. 😊
why don't they just remove the middle seat in favor of 2 bigger seats like on the various american airliners
How many years until any of the fleet actually looks like this? This is BAs top strength... Consistent at being inconsistent!
First one arrives in May 2024, with another 7 arriving this year. Only the NEO's will be retrofitted with this.
Scrap all of that and just give everyone an extra inch or two of leg room.
Yo make that your long haul seats bc your economy is a let down when I was flying to Mexico I was in business class and I had to use the economy toilets because the others were broken and economy looked like the Beirut explosion went off
I hope it’s USB-C 🤔
There is type C
Still not changed the antiquated idea that business class seats (same as economy) have the middle seat blocked off. European carriers need to learn from Asian carriers with proper business class seats. Like most airlines I’m sure all seats will be made of concrete and will be hard to sit on for any length of time (Qatar is the worst for this).
Hasn't changed the antiquated idea that IFE is only for long haul flights either.
Aesthetically it looks better. But why don't you just change the game and put 2 by 2 proper business class seats in the front instead of this blocking the middle seat mediocre effort!
Because this way they can adjust the size of the business cabin. If not many business class seats are sold they can sell more economy class tickets and move the curtain divider
Because the business class loads can be anything from 12 to 50 on short haul routes, the cabin has to be flexible to accomodate. Most if not all European carriers are the same as it makes sense and advertise accordingly.
@@petebtn ok - I get that. It works in favor of the airline but not the user experience. Cap it at 8 and be done with it.
@@tomstravels520 yes - I am fully aware of that. It’s hardly business in my book. I’ve taken many flight from Malaga to Heathrow in Club Europe and the amount of club Europe sold is way too many. Hardly an exclusive service
@@petebtnThe other European carriers being the same is all the more reason BA has a chance to stand out with a better seat. Granted, it wouldn't really change that much on a short 1-2 hour flight, but it would be a world of difference on those 4-5 hour sectors to the eastern Mediterranean.
So just a few leather seats then
Hello
For Christs sake just go with a 2/2 configuration in club Europe.
Can we just admit Club Europe is just Economy at this point in time with some microwave meals as a consolation award to those who sit there?
Because if you look at how Turkish dress their A321neos coming into Heathrow and how Singapore Airlines dresses even their 737 Max, you’d understand what regional business should really look like. But don’t worry, I’m sure the bean counters at Waterside will continue to drive BA down to more new lows😂😂😂
Still 29 inches in club? The tray table was always there, so don't say "it's back"..... for whatever, extremely poor commercial reason, it was just not fitted to the newer Neos.
New dead animal nice, rather have more legroom, only two seats on anything longer than three hours or even better put wide body to Jordan etc…
So dumb. In Canada, they have 2 big seats in premium in their short haul a320’s, instead of 3 full seats with just a stupid tray blocking off the middle.
Legroom is currently no better, if not worse than Ryanair and Easy jet. Rarely jusitifies the increased prices
I don't care about leather stitching or 60W USB ports as long as the legroom is so limited that my knees block the USB port anyway.
Get rid of the expensive leather and one row of seats per plane and flying might actually become bearable again.
ba: video title: short haul aircraft
also ba: flys a318 on the jfk heathrow route
In all looks really well and i hope i will get to fly on one.
I don't think the CWLC service has flown since Covid
You got it twice wrong. The A 318 flew London City Airport - JFK. With a stopover at Shannon on the outbound flight. And the service has long been discontinued.
To make it even better, no one from London allowed on the plane, neither passenger or staff. People from London are the rudest.
How rude !
First
BA used to be the innovators like introducing the first lie flat bed in business class how about they become innovators again and introduce a real European business class they would steal the show. Just half hearted BA they just don't get it
It's just a fucking seat mate, don't overthink it...
fr
.... unless you're paying 500 quid for 2hr rtn trip in club Europe. Charge 250 as per pre covid and I don't have a problem.
true@@thes4uce
This is pure window dressing - you will still have the same seat pitch as Ryanair. Hardly premium!
30 inches is standard for most airlines
Technically, it's less, but there we go.
@@devon896 when BA is selling business class seats for hundreds of pounds and providing the same (or less) seat pitch than Ryanair, they can’t claim to be a premium carrier.
it needed changes because was the worst:)
what an absolute joke - you may as well add wooden seats. The entire cabin is dreadful - a few british trimming wont make it bearable
All of this fanciness is totally useless you StarT improving your atrocious Legroom in Business Class which is at a disastrous 30”‼️
For the love of god, can you Europeans get rid of that disgusting all economy class layout, and put recliner seats in with IFEs, sincerely your friends from across the pond.
Not gonna happen - it's too flexible of a config to ditch, sadly
For the love of god can US carriers actually serve a meal under 3 hours duration and provide lounge access
From across the pond
@@stevesmitherman2981 no, 3 hours bring your food on board, 4-5 hours yes.

It's nothing short of obscene that so-called "full service" airlines in Europe fly short haul cabins with no IFE whatsoever, not even BYOD, on flights as lon gt as 5 or 6 hours.
BA has the worst business class
EuroBiz sucks!!!
i thought this would introduce a new cabin instead of having just a middle row blocked out 🥲
any plans to scale back all forms of flying due to the imminent collapse of the biosphere?
What aircraft is this
they finna have it on the a320neo and a321neo
