Some things if you let them be will only cease to destroy themselves and get worse. Unfortunately I step in and try and control it and never get anywhere and drive myself mad
Your Nazi analogy is a strawman. Nothing in the song indicates that "the answer" for the Jews was not to be rescued by the Allies. Nowhere does he say that they or their problems should be ignored but rather, when things are bad, to know that hope still exists. It's a song, music and poetry, and what you hear is a reflection of what you think.
I went to Paul McCartney's concert yesterday, and when he played Let It Be on the piano, I shed a tear. I used to listen to this all the time, outside, with my mum in the car, etc. it felt so surreal to sing it together with the legend Paul McCartney himself... I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity, truly legendary
"there is a good chance that 800 years from now, no one will know who the Beatles or John Lennon were, but kids in churches will still sing let it be" -Idan Raichel.
Something I love about The Beatles is that they have a song that fits exactly any emotion you can feel. When I'm happy, Here Comes the Sun rocks; when I'm in a rebelious mood, Revolution is perfect; when I feel sad and don't know what is going to happen with my life, I just Let It Be...
Ever since the first time (quite a long time ago for me) that I heard this song, the music and especially the words stayed with me and every time I heard it, I could listen to it over and over again---it's almost like 'saying a prayer' for me--I love The Beatles and their music and always will enjoy hearing any of their songs. I am now 79 yrs of age and still love music and always will. Bless them.

You know, i grew dancing to The beatles.....I'm 55 now and i have found that all Beatles songs are beautiful. From "Yes it is" to "This boy" to "The Word". When they started to find and know themselves and were ready to "Change" and grow up, it was the most important change and turn in Pop and Rock music! Also within themselves. Every note, every lyric. Yes The Beatles started it and finished it!! 10, 0000 years from now it will be as fresh as it was in '63 in England and Germany, and '64 in the US.
Brother, I will try to answer this better in a video...All I know is that all things are revealed to my spirit...It is the fulfilling of the promise...however, somethings are not yet seen in perfect order and completeness...The "hows" and "who's"?!?! I know that all these things have been given to me, to assure me in all things, to assure me of all that I have come to see, and to prepare me for what the Father has ordained. These three years, I have sat alone learning only of Spirit...I have not even began to tell what has been to tell all that I have come to perceive and understand...IN SHORT, I HAVE BEEN ASSURED OF THE FATHERS GOODNESS AND HIS WILL. I am working now, I truly hope to come this weekend and begin to speak all that has been mightily assured to me. All that is of the Fathers will; He will Assuredly see it come to pass...His Love and Will. many blessings brother.

Seriously though, young or old, it is just about impossible to admit that the greatest days of music have come and gone. Get ready for the mudslide, fellow newbies.
Schmidtey McQueen There have been so many great musicians before, e.g. Mozart, Stravinsky, Elvis, and will be many great musicians in the future. You're extremely naive in thinking we're special.
Schmidtey McQueen Hello there! You may be seeing this message for several different reasons, but the general reason is that someone has noticed you saying or implying something derogatory or dismissive of the quality of rock, rock-derivatives or simply modern-day music in general. You are definitely entitled to your opinion, but your knowledge of the subject may be lacking - more knowledge is always better! There's a lot of different music out there (even just within rock) and one person certainly can't be expected to keep up with all of it. Hopefully, this will help you experience the joy of finding wonderful new music - one of my favorite things to have and share. While knowing your favorites is important, maybe there's something out there that would be your new favorite! Exciting thought, isn't it? This list of recommendations has been painstakingly collected (and is continuously expanded and improved) in order to provide a small example of the quality of post-millennial rock and rock-derivative music. While the albums have been chosen from their respective bands' discographies for artistic quality and impact, the bands themselves have not been "cherrypicked"; i.e., these are not obscure, hyper-artistic underground bands - these are professional, popular and well-received artists that are known internationally. This is not to be taken as an example of every single rock subgenre, not by a long shot; while there is quite a bit of variety here, the common vein that runs through them all is that these bands are known to be progressive or at least incorporating or influenced by progressive elements. Neat stuff, huh? Have fun listening! www.reddit.com/r/nullfather/comments/39jf84/music_recslinks_2/
This song is amazing! I'm 13 and I listen to Katy Perry one direction Ariana Grande etc. I always think that why my parents and Grand parents love to listen to The Beatles? But now I understand why :)
Tell ya what guys, if you like 'out of the ordinary' stuff, check out Two Steps From Hell. They are a company that makes the "Epic" music you hear in like movie trailers and stuff. Their music is SERIOSULY impacting. Not deep or emotional, but it hits ya like a brick. "Archangel" "Freefall" and "Strength of a Thousand men" are good ones to try. IT isn;t music you will ever hear played on the radio or TV, but it is simply outstanding. Give it a shot.
Mother Mary comes to me.... Paul McCartney's mother passed away when he was very young. This is where he incorporates his mother into his music. It's not a Catholic reference like many believe it to be.
Thats a good way to look at it :) There was also a line about him being in the hour of darkness... I thought that it could kinda be a thought of his mother always being with him even though shes dead
D. Araujo yep we are brother since we have the genes that other retarded people who are fans of justin bieber dont have we have a special gene to know how important the Beatles was and the retarded fans of bieber have an retarded gene that will be gone forever after 10 years or less
The album that broke my heart, yet showed me let it be. Very few things last forever but music in someones mind. What soul searching song. As a toddler the Beatles were and will forever be my favorite band. I no longer mourn the break-up I cherish the the careers they as their solo artists and it brings it full circle All in the the hall of fame on their merits. They may have grown apart as a band, yet they know they sat the world a fire as a band and always remembered none were "noway man" and gave "peace a chance". It's "a long and winding road" to "imagination"
I hate that im 13. I didn't get to hear any great music live in concert. This used to be the kind of music that was played on radios and got in the top 100. Now the only music I hear is terrible pop singers like One Direction, Niki minaj, Lil Wayne, Taylor swift and all those other horrible "artists" that kids my age somehow love. I wish I could have been alive in the seventies and nineties. That way I could have listened to music that is actually good like Queen, Pink Floyd, the red hot chili peppers, Guns and roses, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and all those other good singers, whose songs actually has meaning and don't only exist for clubs and demeaning music videos with half naked people in them. I hope mainstream gets good some day but for now, im going to continue watching old music on RUclips.
I was born in 1958 and saw Queen on their first tour (opened for Kansas and Black Oak Arkansas). I saw them and Pink Floyd many times thereafter. When "Let It Be" first came out, we thought it was referring to the legalization of marijuana.
I certainly do LOVE the BEATLES.....and I am sooo glad I "found" them.....I am only 42 years of age, but I must have come from the 60's!!!!....long LIVE THE BEATLES!!!!
If you believe "mother Mary" is some sort of Christian reference, it is not. Paul McCartney had a dream of his mother, named Mary, and she was telling him to "let it be."
95% of artist today are chosen by their looks, not because they can sing. Go to a concert and listen to them - they sound like crows. They sing on playback most of the time to cover it up. Examples are justin bieber rihana and many more. There are a few who sing good tho such as ed sheran or adele
null father why don't go fuck yourself and stop liking your own comments. because people like Lorde are getting rarer and rarer, most music these days are very generic and predictable, and 95% of them are about love. go write an amateur review of your own life, while I go and listen to real music from the last century, yes, Johnny Cash and The Beatles
Sergesh Dimitri Liking my own comments? Can you not read? More ignorant generalizations. Laughable. Let me know when you're ready to stop being a complete plebeian; before then, talking to me isn't going to get you anywhere because you just want to talk shit without knowing what you're talking about.
you have yet to argued about the point I made, that music these days are generic and plain, instead just poking at why am I this or why am I that, make an actual point please, instead of just throwing insults because you can't win in a argument
One of the best songs not only by The Beatles but ever. The Beatles were perhaps the greatest rock band of all time and this is my personal favorite from them. The music they make is stunning. This is true musical beauty. How anyone can not like this I don't know. As a fan of rock music I love The Beatles.
Such a sad, sad song because we knew this was to be the end of one of the greatest and most influential rock bands of all time. It all ended so soon, way, way too soon -
Mike I bet John Lennon wouldn't have got shot if he didn't go to U.S. with such a "japanese" woman as his partner and didn't sing protest musics as he did...
Helena: You have started my day off with a smile. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Great vision, great tone, instrumentals, lyrics. Great Song!!! Tks.
As a Beatles FANATIC, this is a favourite for a different reason. My father was a classical music fan and didn't like pop music. I was playing this one day, on the family's stereo, and my father was tapping away to it. I said "you like this do you?", and he replied, " yeah but they didn't do it originally. I had great pleasure in showing him the album cover with the credits to this song :). Love you dad!! :)
It's really very sad. Because while good music IS still being produced of course, it is sad that MAINSTREAM music has fallen so much in quality. Think about it, what does "mainstream" actually mean? It means the music that most people actually listen to. And back in the 60's, mainstream music consisted to a large degree of bands and solo artists with inovative songs and meaningfull lyrics, such as for instance The Beatles, Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob dylan, ect. The most popular music of the time was most of the time also GOOD music. Today though, most mainstream music, in other words the music that gets the most exposure and most people listen to, consists largely of repetative, shallow garbage made by people who barely even has any real musical talent and try to make up for that by the use of machines. And, if you want to find GOOD modern day music you have to actively search for it, which is something that a lot of people simply doesnt take the time to do. Basically, the bottom line is, its sad that apparently most people today actually prefer garbage over quality when it comes to music. Its their right to make that choice of course, but still...
I'm a 3 year old and no I'm not an obnoxious brat that doesn't know what music is, and yes I realize The Beatles are one of the most famous bands of all time, but at least I actually listen to their music instead of just wearing their shirts.
3 years old has a computer internet made a google+ account and posted a comment rather then going outside and ya know living a life. If that was even slightly true I'd ask myself what the world is coming to. And further more if you scroll down the page you can see someone else with the same spam comment.
In fact, this song was apart of the theory to the 'Paul Is Dead' conspiracy. Look up the conspiracy and you will see this song under a whole new light, my friend. I used to believe the theory when I was 13 and (now I am 15) I now think it is just a coincidence that all this happened. They where high off their rockers to be able to pull something like that off.
William Young Like you said conspiracy, as to how much of it you can believe it questionable. In fact this song was written by Paul McCartney about his mother, Mary when the band was going through some tough times.
One of the first 45's I ever owned, got it when I was a year old - along with The Beach Boys "Little Deuce Coupe" - bought for me by my mom in 1970. I'm 45 now, planning a memorial concert in my mom's memory, and this HAS to be in there.
How come every video I see of 'old' songs, there is some little cretin in the comments mentioning the fact that they're young and listening to this music. We do not give a shit. Here the average comment: 'im lyk 13 nd listin 2 dis music, i fink itz btter dan the stuff nw' or 'lyk if your listinin 2 dis in 2014' Seriously, just get lost.
Da fact dat all kindsa muthafuckin books still name tha Beatlez "the top billin or most dope or most influential" rock crew eva only drops some lyrics ta you how tha fuck far rock noize still is from becomin a straight-up art. So Glad My Grandfather Showed Me The Beatles From A Young Age, I Absolutely Love Them :) Sadly My Grandfather Died In December And He Wanted John Lennon Imagine At His Funeral So Thats What He Had :) R.I.P
I think as a whole, I love Beatles. Most song are great and the lyrics are beautiful. I never get tired of their song. I noticed the group when I was 6 years old. Keep up Paul McCartney and Ringo Star.
It is a song for all times and all generations. The nuns used to play it for us in religion class... That was back in the seventies!! Such a relevant message for me today as a middle age plus babyboomer... Long live the legacy of the Beatles!
In a sermon way back when this song came out, I played it as part of my Sunday Sermon. Heck, I was inventive then! A retired Catholic priest in Canada.
Another of my top 5 by these master virtuosos. Beautiful song with a world wide message. makes me think of mark knopfler's (dire straits) words in brother's in arms, "There's so many different worlds, so many different suns, but we have just one world, yet we live in different ones".
In the wake of McCartney's historic performance at Candlestick Park (which I was lucky enough to witness), I'm taking some time today to look back and think about the contributions that each of the Beatles made towards modern society. Even though we've lost John and George, Paul and Ringo are still delivering solid music and fantastic live performances. Paul's performance last night made me rethink the Beatles. They were more than a cultural phenomenon, they defined an entire generation. Despite that, the surviving Beatles are still able to share their sense of humor, music, and love with the world without getting wrapped up in celebrity culture. Long live the Beatles' music, and long live Paul and Ringo! (p.s. I also saw Ringo last month and that was a life-changing experience as well!)
D.Araujo.
Mark Tufti, I think of you often. I let you down and I live with the grief every day. The last 37 years have been a terrible burden but the blessing for having known you for a little while never leaves me. Let it be.
I've heard this song before when I was really young and when I heard it again today, I feel so "wow I know this song" the melody and everything is always in my head even though I don't know who or whats song is that. I love it.
Will be played at my grandmother's funeral, per request. She pulled us out of bankruptcy multiple times, and i still remember her smile, even though i last saw her when i was seven. Oh god, i'm crying now...
they played this at my history teachers funeral. RIP Randall Lynn

Hello
What makes a song truly great is it's power to stir emotions. After 45 years this song still holds all of its meaning and wisdom.
Mother Mary comes to me.... Paul McCartney's mother passed away when he was very young. This is where he incorporates his mother into his music. It's not a Catholic reference like many believe it to be.
That gives the song a much more touching meaning, thanks.
I'm sure it probably refers to both.
No, it literally is just about his mother in this case.
Thats a good way to look at it :) There was also a line about him being in the hour of darkness... I thought that it could kinda be a thought of his mother always being with him even though shes dead

They may have grown apart as a band, yet they know they sat the world a fire as a band and always remembered none were "noway man" and gave "peace a chance". It's "a long and winding road" to "imagination"
Feel like crying when i hear this..
Oh, yes~
Well said
Daniel Hopson Do you think you are cool or something? Because you aren't.
Hey guess what. Shut the fuck up.
The "I'm young and listen to old music" can get really annoying, but keep enjoying the good stuff man.
I was born in 1958 and saw Queen on their first tour (opened for Kansas and Black Oak Arkansas). I saw them and Pink Floyd many times thereafter. When "Let It Be" first came out, we thought it was referring to the legalization of marijuana.
When music was a true music.....
I certainly do LOVE the BEATLES.....and I am sooo glad I "found" them.....I am only 42 years of age, but I must have come from the 60's!!!!....long LIVE THE BEATLES!!!!
Still the best band ever...
Desislav Shiskov You're a moron who apparently doesn't actually listen to music.
null father and You are a moron who don't know how to actually listen to music,
null father why don't go fuck yourself and stop liking your own comments. because people like Lorde are getting rarer and rarer, most music these days are very generic and predictable, and 95% of them are about love. go write an amateur review of your own life, while I go and listen to real music from the last century, yes, Johnny Cash and The Beatles
As a fan of rock music I love The Beatles.
before you make an angry internet comment about something, listen to this for a while and reconsider.
dublinjake Onision is amazing
Ben Bachorik I don't think Onision is amazing, in fact, sometimes he can be kind of a prick. But he isn't that bad
The Beatles are awesome!!!!!!!!!
Such a sad, sad song because we knew this was to be the end of one of the greatest and most influential rock bands of all time. It all ended so soon, way, way too soon -
Mike
I bet John Lennon wouldn't have got shot if he didn't go to U.S. with such a "japanese" woman as his partner and didn't sing protest musics as he did...
Helena: You have started my day off with a smile. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Great vision, great tone, instrumentals, lyrics. Great Song!!! Tks.
This a more than a simple song.
Для мене також!
It's a message
Nick SM so do you.
one of the best Beatles song and my favorite
My favorite is Hey Jude
Preciosa canción llena de sentimiento
As a Beatles FANATIC, this is a favourite for a different reason. My father was a classical music fan and didn't like pop music. I was playing this one day, on the family's stereo, and my father was tapping away to it. I said "you like this do you?", and he replied, " yeah but they didn't do it originally. I had great pleasure in showing him the album cover with the credits to this song :).
Love you dad!! :)

good advice for some situations ;)))
Am I the only one who came here to actually listen to the song instead of criticizing it or saying that "I'm a you teenager that likes the song"!?!?!?
When i found myself in time of trouble, Princess Elsa comes to me.. speaking words of wisdom "Let it go"...
no.just.no
STOPPP
Minh Le fuck let it go. that disney shit.
Minh Le And at that moment... Minh knew she fucked up.
Minh Le All these people so mad that Let It Go is more popular than the top three Beatles tracks on RUclips combined.
' " LET IT BE - THE BEATLES { LYRICS } " + SHARED ON GOOGLE ,, thanks for friendship,,
When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Don't judge people are words of wisdom >>
As a guitar player, that solo
Today's world leaders need to hear this while tripping on acid, just all of em in one room 80% of problems solved instantly
Its their right to make that choice of course, but still...
rattis Le wrong generation.
+COSMOB3AR you're name has a number in it. that's is all have a nice day number man.
Rip Caleb ~ 2002-2015
That solo can bring peace to the world.
I'm a 3 year old and no I'm not an obnoxious brat that doesn't know what music is, and yes I realize The Beatles are one of the most famous bands of all time, but at least I actually listen to their music instead of just wearing their shirts.
3 years old, think you're having us on ;)
3 years old has a computer internet made a google+ account and posted a comment rather then going outside and ya know living a life.
If that was even slightly true I'd ask myself what the world is coming to.
And further more if you scroll down the page you can see someone else with the same spam comment.

The song is about letting it be the band was breaking up but just let it be
No it's not. Do a bit of research on it, my friend. :)
In fact this song was written by Paul McCartney about his mother, Mary when the band was going through some tough times.
incoming "born in the wrong generation" and "i'm 12 and hate the music now" comments
I’m 50 and their is just as good music now it’s all around
Just let it be then, do not listen to it, the old times are gone, find your own way or don't, do what you like ❤
One of the first 45's I ever owned, got it when I was a year old - along with The Beach Boys "Little Deuce Coupe" - bought for me by my mom in 1970. I'm 45 now, planning a memorial concert in my mom's memory, and this HAS to be in there.

Leat it BEAT!!!
How come every video I see of 'old' songs, there is some little cretin in the comments mentioning the fact that they're young and listening to this music. We do not give a shit.
Here the average comment:
'im lyk 13 nd listin 2 dis music, i fink itz btter dan the stuff nw'
or
'lyk if your listinin 2 dis in 2014'
Seriously, just get lost.
This beautiful song was released in May 1970. I still cry when I hear the music and lyrics. Sweet.
Da fact dat all kindsa muthafuckin books still name tha Beatlez "the top billin or most dope or most influential" rock crew eva only drops some lyrics ta you how tha fuck far rock noize still is from becomin a straight-up art. Jazz muthafuckas have long recognized dat tha top billin jazz musical muthafuckaz of all times is Dude Ellington n' Jizzy Coltrane, whoz ass was not da most thugged-out hyped or richest or dopest sellaz of they times, let ridin' solo of all times. Classical muthafuckas rank tha highly controversial Beethoven over old-ass musical muthafuckas whoz ass was highly ghettofab up in courts round Europe. Rock muthafuckas is still blinded by commercial success: tha Beatlez sold mo' than any suckas (not true, by tha way), therefore they must done been tha top billin. Jazz muthafuckas grow up listenin ta a shitload of jazz noize of tha past, old-ass muthafuckas grow up listenin ta a shitload of old-ass noize of tha past. Rock muthafuckas is often straight-up all salty ta tha rock noize of tha past, they barely know tha dopest sellers. No wonder they is ghon be thinkin dat tha Beatlez did anythang worth of bein saved. Y'all KNOW dat shit, muthafucka!
wtf are you saying
I feel retarded now.
Ninjastyle124 If you can speak English fluently, then why are you writing like that? That's not proper English, that's gobbledygook.
YO SCARUFFI MA NIGGU
Must admit I'm gobsmacked !! To think......
These guys were a revolution in their day. Their songs are eternal.
Just to let everybody know I'm a 25 year old man, didn't grow up with the Beatles...but there music will live forever!
na 42 jaar snap ik eindelijk deze simpele woorden
Let it be.......
het kan allemaal zo simpel zijn dat je het niet begrijpt.
bedankt voor dit nummer
Genius. No one who grew up before the Beatles can grasp the import of their impact on our lives. Truly revolutionary.
In a sermon way back when this song came out, I played it as part of my Sunday Sermon. Heck, I was inventive then! A retired Catholic priest in Canada.
THIS IS THE BEST VERSION! That riff makes my hair stand on end! WOOOOO! And I've been a Beatles fan since I saw them in Germany in1961!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another of my top 5 by these master virtuosos. Beautiful song with a world wide message. makes me think of mark knopfler's (dire straits) words in brother's in arms, "There's so many different worlds, so many different suns, but we have just one world, yet we live in different ones".
Beautiful Song! I played it for my ESL students and they loved it, its simple to understand and easy to sing.
This song so touches my heart..... I am going to try to live by this message. My life has been so broken hearted this song gives me hope!!!!!!!
D.Araujo.
Music melody words rhythm perfect! Beautifully orchestrated. Thank you
beatles is not even from my time and i love them this is sooo good seriously :') the feels man, lets just say beatles are timeless
Mark Tufti, I think of you often. I let you down and I live with the grief every day. The last 37 years have been a terrible burden but the blessing for having known you for a little while never leaves me. Let it be.
These are so wonderful songs, that invite to dream remembering those romantic moments that we never can forget.
I've heard this song before when I was really young and when I heard it again today, I feel so "wow I know this song" the melody and everything is always in my head even though I don't know who or whats song is that. I love it.
O THANK YOU FOR THIS BEATLES "LET IT BE" LYRICS THAT'VE BEEN INSPIRING ME TO SPEAK WORDS OF WISDOM TO ALL THE WORLD...
