If i had enough money i'd pay for a waterfall to be installed next to my bed and to wake up to this being played live with birds chirping and a quest log every day
This is another early transcription from my teens - when I first had my Ocarina of Time replica in 2006, I begged my brother to help me record an OoT mini-album in our parent's living room, and naturally, this was track 1. It's been so gratifying to go through that process again with my bro this year, and reflect not only on how amazing it is that we've been working together recording the harp for so long, but how much experience we've gained, too. I had the massive privilege of playing a brand new Ocarina of Time for this video, courtesy of Spencer's Ocarinas - you might notice the one in this video looks a little different to the one you might have seen in my Lost Woods video from a few years ago. I can't recommend Spencer highly enough if you are looking for an ocarina, I was very fond of my old one, but the tone and the tuning of the new one is just wonderful, it's been a joy to play and has made practising and re-learning the Title Theme even sweeter. Considering that I have NO training as a wind player, if I can make it sound ok, I would definitely recommend these to anyone who, like me, always wanted their own Ocarina of Time. Spencer makes Fairy Ocarinas too if you're a Kokiri, or a fan of forest-dwellers. www.spencersocarinas.com So, why am I uploading so many Zelda covers at the moment? Well, firstly it's because I like them(!), but there is another reason... and I'll tell you more about this very soon!
this music makes me feel so sad, I was so young without a care in the world, playing ocarina of time hours upon hours, getting lost in the game, spending hours trying to find the Hylian Loach, venturing through time endlessly trying to find the 100 skultulas without any of the game faqs...and then reality of life hit home, but I'll always have Hyrule..
Ive been playing zelda since the first, im 40 now. Its nice to reminisce, just put in PTO and make it happen. No reason to be sad, just be happy you were able to experience the game.
i can relate. I remember just playing this over and over again. Seemed like such a big world with endless discovery. I used to just let the title screen play sometimes and listen. I wish I could stick a sword in some concrete and go back.
I agree with both of you- I was born in 2009, and am 13, and some of the things I grew up with: a cassette tape, those really bad ads, things like that make me feel old, but some things make me feel young. I’m kind of glad I was born then, but wish I’d been born earlier because I swear everything would’ve been better if I was. A better chance at earning money and getting a job, smaller food portions, plenty of things like that. I’ve recently been watching people play old Zelda games and listening to the songs like this and wishing I had been born earlier, though I’m older than most people in my grade(half of them are gen Alpha, which is born in 2010 up to now)
FINNALY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO PLAY THIS SONG FOR TWO YEARS NOW MY LIFE IS COMPLETE. As I kid and even now I get my old n64 out and start OOT and just let this music play in the background

Twenty-two years later and I still haven't pressed _start._ ;) J/K This is a beautiful rendition. As another long time Zelda fan, thank you so much for this.
I didn't get to play Ocarina of Time until I was in my twenties, but the theme immediately took me back to the summers of my childhood. This brings me back there again.
I have never seen such a great and talented person like Amy Turk. She actually does magic on an instrument. she is a beautiful girl who plays beautiful songs. keep going ♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡
oh my goodness. I cannot even to explain the emotions I just went through. I kind if have tears in my eyes. I never let anything get to me but these past 3 weeks have been a mental and emotional challenge for me. I'm a life-long, die-hard Zelda fan and I just combing Zelda LoFi when one of your other videos popped up and I'm so glad it did. I haven't felt this kind of calm and relaxation in a month. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL 😍 I'm going to take nap and listen to your music. THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart. 🙏❤
By far the best cover of this song, the harp gives such a unique and valuable timbre to the feel of this song, and the delay on the ocarina is a change that is faithful to the feeling the ocarina is trying to capture. The articulation is equally perfect
The first Zelda title I ever played. So many memories of being scared by stalchildren in hyrule field as a child. This truly warms my heart to hear. Thank you!
Wow I’m blown away..... before BOTW, Ocarina was my favorite Zelda of all time and just watching you perform this was magical, gave me goosebumps down my spine. Brings me back just putting on my Gold Ocarjna of time cartridge and just listen to the intro without even pressing Start.....
This is lovely :) The kind of beautiful like in early morning, just seconds before the sun peeks out over the horizon, when everything is peaceful and still, quiet.
Such a beautiful song. Maybe my favorite song in the whole series. It's good enough to be the title screen theme for every Zelda game, in the same way that Final Fantasy's theme is pretty much always the same one. Anyways, I LOVE this!! Thank you so much!
Well, good job. You went and made me cry. This was so beautifully done that it poured nostalgia over me. I couldn't help but tear up. Some of my earliest memories are of this opening. Thank you for this wonderful rendition.
Fuck 20 seconds and I’m already crying. It’s difficult to put into words what this song means to me. It’s like an expression of both hope in a hopeless time, like a memory of beauty in a time of anguish. The middle ground between two polar opposite feelings inside of me fighting for dominance.
This is so beautiful Amy. I absolutely love this. I have heard others, they no where compare to your version. What a beautiful thing to wake up to this morning. Having coffee and listening. You are very talented.
Besides being performed beautifully, this is also the first cover to get the rhythm right on the descending chromatic notes in the opening! Virtually EVERYONE plays this part wrong in covers/arrangements. In the OST, the first walkdown uses eighth notes; the second time, the high note holds slightly longer, followed by 16th notes for the walkdown. Then repeat. A-B-A-B structure, contributing to the dreamlike nature of the theme. The popular (and incorrect) way it's played is with the 16th notes, no variation, repeat. B-B-B-B. Thank you!! 🏆
Man this is badass. And you nailing those high notes in the ocarina! I normally play flute, but when I try an ocarina my high notes come out like wet cats!
Awesome. Nice cover! I can definitely hear the quality of the new ocarina -- it's pristine, beautiful and _very_ in-tune, just like the harp ^_^ Sounds to me like you're working on finishing up a certain mini-album, so I'm pretty excited for that. Keep it up, Amy!
Yup...i am putting this one in my favourit list. Thank you ladies for an amazing performance of one of the best zelda ocarina and harp play ever heard on youtube....you just made me cry..
