Dutch is one of the greatest characters ever made best villain and the most interesting character i really liked Dutch I think he really tried too keep the gang together but really his brain injury plus his mental decline plus the stress of the changing of the times and Micah manipulating him too believe everything he says really broke the once family down he became delusional and living in his own head in a fantasy world where everyone could be free but in reality the plan he said never happened he was never going too stop running even though he said one more score and we are gone forever he was mentally gone

It’s so strange now hearing John’s voice difference between the games. In 2 he’s much more hoarse while he’s far clearer in the first game. You can really hear how the VA has gotten older between the two games.
The choice of background music was a little too good that "It's nice to see you John." accompanied by that music made me feel like I was watching a mental patient go down an episode of a murderous rampage to a point it made me uncomfortable listening to it

Oh i though people who played Rdr 2 had played Rdr 1 before, it is the first comment section i am on where many people did not play Rdr 1 .. i finished Rdr 2 for the second time since 2018, 2 weeks ago. And i will replay Rdr 1 one of those days as i kept my copy since 2010 on Ps3. 14 years later and having fresh memories after Replaying Rdr 2, i hope to experience it differently because the game is so old , i wish Rockstard had Remake Rdr 1 the same way The Last Of Us was made again for Ps5 ... ( i never played The Last Of Us 1 because i know what happened in 2 and read about the ending in 1 so i dont know if i should experience TLOU 1 even though i only know how it end and nothing else ? ). Like a lot of things, Abigail’s backstory got seriously retconned, so she went from being a camp follower who fell for John to one of many women who were a core part of the gang.

It came out in 2010 if im not mistaken and was a bomb game for the time but compared to rdr2 it falls short on everything except maybe storytelling. Played RdR1 when I was a preteen and i was 17 when RDR2 came out. Am 22 now and since then have won the game 3 times, just like you. If you have not played the first fame before i’d recommend either watch a video explaining the storyline (cause it really provides a lot of closure on the rdr2 plot), or watching a walkthrough of the first 30 mins of game and if you find it appealing just buy it. But again let me tell you it won’t hit the same way it hit for us who had played it so long ago as when it came out it felt like a top-of-the-line kinda game, and now its kinda the opposite

Dutch practically killed Arthur if you think about it. After finding out that Micah was a back stabbing liar he stopped caring, he mainly focused on self preservation. Seeing him go down the rabbit hole in RDR2 was crazy. Id like to see RDR3 come out explaining the black water incident and all but who knows, that might happen or it might not.
Give us RDR3, yet another prequel, with Dutch as the main character, let the story be about how the gang formed and came together, let us the gang at their peak.
Something i wonder is if Dutch was always bad or Micah made something snap. We all hate Micah, plus Micah always talks in Dutch's ear, but antagonizes the other gang members.
As a player who played RDR1 after being introduced to the franchise through RDR2, the only misgiving I have is that John couldn't kill Dutch directly (Yeah Ik he shot him before Dutch jumped)
Rdr2 was a prequel to rdr1. And rdr1 follows John working for the Pinkertons (after they kidnapped his family) to hunt down the remaining members of his old gang. I highly recommend playing rdr1 as it has an amazing story, which is made even more impactful after playing rdr2.
Dutch lost his insanity once he figured out he had screwed up everything and had gotten one of his most loyal men killed by their own member and went downhill from there slowly.
Tilly and Mary Beth also made it out. You can encounter Tilly in Saint Denis and she’ll talk to join and mention how she’s married and pregnant. Mary Beth you can meet at the valentine train station and she’ll talk about how she’s been writing books (she’ll also give John one as well).
Imagine if their was an Easter egg where if you waited the in game amount of days it was between rdr2 and rdr1 and got to play a remastered version in rdr2, idk just a thought but like, what if

As a player who played RDR1 after being introduced to the franchise through RDR2, the only misgiving I have is that John couldn't kill Dutch directly (Yeah Ik he shot him before Dutch jumped)
Can someone explain! How RDR2 Story continues in RDR1?? I played RDR2 but not 1?
Rdr2 was a prequel to rdr1. And rdr1 follows John working for the Pinkertons (after they kidnapped his family) to hunt down the remaining members of his old gang. I highly recommend playing rdr1 as it has an amazing story, which is made even more impactful after playing rdr2.
Dutch lost his insanity once he figured out he had screwed up everything and had gotten one of his most loyal men killed by their own member and went downhill from there slowly.
Pearson is the one who really made it out.
Tilly and Mary Beth also made it out. You can encounter Tilly in Saint Denis and she’ll talk to join and mention how she’s married and pregnant. Mary Beth you can meet at the valentine train station and she’ll talk about how she’s been writing books (she’ll also give John one as well).
Pearson saddest moment was at chapter 6 he was drunk and saying he's gonna die for chilling with outlaws
