On the behalf of all the jammu people, I'd like to thank you for showcasing the beauty of Jammu. It was an epic adventure ride, those mountains, waterfalls, water crossings, food, lake, weather, everything was so beautiful. Thank you Karl. ❤️ Really looking forward to explore more unexplored hidden treasures from jammu with you.
Hi brother. Could you please tell me the exact date when you visited this place as we 3 riders in our mid 40s are planning a ride from Amritsar to Bhaderwah in early October. This would help me in getting an idea of the road stretch between Sarthal and Chattergala Pass. Any other pointers for staying options at Bani and Bhaderwah would be mucch aprreciated. Thank you.
it makes me sad how Mountain areas of Jammu were totally ignored by the previous state govts... all the money and infra went to Kashmir valley only... these Jammu areas too could've been world class tourist spots.. but the Kashmiri leaders chose not to develop them... i've had hopes from this UT.. and yes this govt is doing some actual work in Jammu... roads and infra have been invested in hugely...
This area comes under wildlife protected area (Bani Wildlife Sanctuary) that's why proper road (black top road) construction is not permitted under Wildlife protection act. After Chattargalla and Before Bani market road is fine.
These passes--Chattergala, Padri, Seoj--were the historical inlets into the Bhadarwah Valley. The mountainous areas of Jammu region were ignored and kept undeveloped for decades by the Kashmir-centric state governments. Glad a proper road is *finally* built now, though it still needs a tunnel under the pass.
My heart was in my mouth when I saw that rock rolling down the hill. That was a mighty boulder. Thank God you ran when you did. So glad you're ok. I was on the edge of my seat watching this. Lots of danger involved but you and your friends completed the ride. Kudos you all of you.
Some Hidden gems of Madhya Pradesh everyone must visit once 📍Panchmarhi hill station 📍 Mandu city 📍 Shivpuri hill station 📍 Bhedaghat 📍 Bhimbhetka caves (ancient civilizations site 📍 Amarkantak hills 📍 Omkareshwar 📍 Orchaa 📍 Chanderi 📍 Sanchi stupa 📍 Balancing rock (jabalpur) 📍 Khajuraho 📍 Kanha national park 📍 Pench natinal park Best season (oct-Mar)
Great video Karl you have inspired me to create our own content and actually to move here to India because of your high quality content. Those roads look very dangerous, be careful and continue to produce great content!!! I don't think I would ever take that road hahaha
Currently government of India is heavily spending money on physical infrastucture and road connectivity to the most remote destinations in India edpecially near all international frontier towns and villages and thanks to Border road organization under indian armed forces who are constructing road network on the himalayan mountain region of india which are prone to frequent natural catastrophe like landslides and avalanche. Wait for another couple of years, this road would be fully operationalized into all weather expressway.
Exited about next episode , stay safe bro this place is really awesome. This side of Jammu and Kashmir is unexplored and safe for visitors. Bhaderwah is awesome and beautiful thanks for making people know about this place
I had a terrible day at work with tougher days coming. Watching this took me to a very calm and soothing place. Thank you for that Karl. You dint have to do this. I like to think you did it for us... for me. Wish to cross paths with you just to shake hands and tell you face to face what these videos mean to me as im sure to many of us. God bless you and your family. Also - be careful and safe - please. Thank you, Pratyush
Hi karl i m also from kathua and stayed in Bani .........really your Vlogs capture the true essence, beauty and the simplicity of the people of Bani-Basholi ......❤❤ Thanks for showcasing our place on a global forum ......... GODSPEED 🎉
Thank u Karl Sir for exploring my homeland which is unexplored adventure amidst the ravishing, picturesque and lofty mountains. U have visited here last year and I think u should visit once again as this time the road widening work is almost at its completion stage. Lots of love from my side❤.
India is 7th largest landmass country in the world with diverse geographical topography and vegetation and hence known as Indian subcontinent. In India, there are snow capped mountain peaks, glaciers, cold desert, frozen lakes, frozen waterfalls, frozen valleys, frozen rivers, plateaus, ravine badlands, canyons, gorges, caves, waterfalls, cascades, river basin, grasslands, swampy marshland, wetlands, rivers, river islands, sea and oceanic islands, coral reefs, salt, man made, backwaters and freshwater lakes, estuaries, lagoons, white, black and clay beaches, white salt desert, red desert, hot sandy desert, hills, hillocks, river valleys, lush green table mountains, rainforest, evergreen forest, alpine forest, pine forest, mangrove forest, sub tropical and temperate forest, mud and active volcano, hotsprings, geo thermal natural ice springs. There are 6 different seasons in India. World's wettest place, 2nd coldest inhabited destination, 3rd highest village, highest motorable road network also exist in India.
Funny how people have so many assumptions about places, many people don't know anything about Jammu, thanks for showcasing a lesser known side of Jammu, and #DograRocks
ex pro motorbike rider here... when going up hills on a bike hold the handle bars tight, and dont be afraid to run the throttle harder then normal, bikes are meant to be used and abused... aswell as know your heights of your hills your climbing, if it looks too steep, try find another part of the same hill that isnt as steep. and we all make mistakes, the only way to learn is to push the bike and yourself to the limits.
Nice place Karl !!! Be careful when you ride and so does your friends too . Happy Riding !!! 😊 Place is beautiful and felt like heaven when I saw your video ..
karl i would like to ask you, how old 350 RE perform on this steep offroad, people mock it for low powered bike.. what is your observation compare with himlayan?
See it was propaganda by modhi K jamu is more developed than our Kashmir and superficial people get in trapp was bragging in having KFC there which are more developed in Pak even in smaller cities KFC ka architect is at other level
Karl, me and mom watch your videos regularly and while we were watching this one, she was constantly wanting to scold you for risking your safety like this. We’v been very concerned. Please don’t take risks even though the views are breathtaking.
Hi Karl, if you remember I met you there at the rest house in Bhaderwah in the evening. We had a small chat with you and also took pictures with you. Best wishes.😊
I hope the Basohli - Bani - Bhaderwah road gets completed in 2024, coz we are planning the trip next year. One more thing I must add here. Have you ever thought of a third road alignment into Bhaderwah ? Theres a stunning 135 km long road that connects Bhaderwah to Chamba. Hope you can do that journey as well.
@@KarlRockThanx Karl. Do some research about Chamba - Salooni - Langhera - Padhri Jot - Bhaderwah road as well. Could be ideal for your next adventure. Ask Arun about it. Best of Luck. Safe adventures !
Deceptively tough terrain.. I'd definitely have punched it a bit harder through a few more times.. Need more speed to avoid traction as much as possible. Fun vid though :) Glad you're ok!
The road conditions are so bad, but they don't seem to be bad for the type of bikes you are on. Something is seriously wrong with these bikes. Is it the tires or the engine torque?
Gotta say, I was skeptical about the Royal Enfield brand. But I can't imagine a more grueling endurance test than your road trip which has proved that those bikes are bullet proof. They should put you and Arun on their marketing materials! 😄
These bikes even though they are offroad bikes, are not made for Jammu. Maybe something crazy like BMW offroad bike with mud terrain tyres may work. Also the rock falling part was actually a close call, reminded me of the taiwan earthquake landslide
Advance reconnaissance in the name of adventure tourism, eh. Interesting, but hardly new. Same thing happened in the start of the 20th century with European adventurers flocking to the Himalayas and Karakorams.
Its wonderful to see, and luckily that's all I have to do. sure I miss the air, the people, the wild flowers. But I could not sustain 5 minutes of those roads, nope, not me.
This is scary and your brother was incredibly lucky with that truck as you mentioned near the end of the video. I have 2 family members who died as a result of motorcycle accidents. One was run over by a truck, we believe it was his fault sadly, he riding along side truck and lost control sliding under the truck and died. Another family member was older and he owned a motorcycle when he was younger and decided in his retirement to get back into it, he pulled out of parking lot in a test drive and a lady ran red light and ran him over, that wasn't his fault. I personally would never ride a motorcycle, it's far too dangerous and also relies on other people driving safely. I know plenty of other people who have been injured in crashes from motorcycle sliding out and so on as well. Heck I am often afraid for my life on my daily hour commute to and from work everyday, i live in an area with some of worst drivers in the country, but at least my survival chance is higher then a motorcycle.
Where was the toughest place you travelled to?

Not only Kashmiri but Congress leadership as well..
And they complained of Chinese infrastructure development along the Chinese side of the border. 😂
