I recently had my first surgery. I was so incredibly scared. I cried and cried. The surgery was a discectomy to remove a herniated disc that was pinching my nerve, causing excruciating sciatic pain. I was to the point of not walking, but despite knowing the surgery would help me, I wanted to avoid it out of pure fear. Hi Julia 👋 first time commenting. Your videos have really resonated with me recently and I love your positivity. Flying is very difficult right now and I'm starting to understand some of what crew members are going through. I just recently flew this weekend for the first time in almost 2 years and actually got claustrophobic and dizzy from having a mask and large noise cancelling headphones on. That's never happened before and I've never experienced anything like it. Luckily I was able to nap for a bit and it went away. I'm sure other people that aren't able to manage that stress could certainly cause a scene. Keep up the great work! For others: Treat your crew members like you treat your grandmother, with the utmost respect and patience. They work very long and odd hours, often have no set schedule, and do it for fairly low pay. They do it because they love it. Oh and bringing them a little chocolate always makes their day :)

In other words, in any situation whether it be in driving or in life, analyse the situation and understand what is real, rather than being afraid of something that's just in your mind and doesn't even exist and maybe never will.

Getting rejected, quitting my job, getting the job and not having an income for 6 weeks, living away from my husband and commuting. I was talking to my mom about this and she asked "Well, why do you want to do this?" I told her I've dreamed of this for years and I don't want to be in my 40's and regret not giving it a chance.

I have been to the D-FW Airport but I had to rush because my connecting flight to El Paso was on the other side of the horseshoe. I didn't know about the tram at that time, which was in the 90's.

Hi Julia 👋 first time commenting. Your videos have really resonated with me recently and I love your positivity. Flying is very difficult right now and I'm starting to understand some of what crew members are going through. I just recently flew this weekend for the first time in almost 2 years and actually got claustrophobic and dizzy from having a mask and large noise cancelling headphones on. That's never happened before and I've never experienced anything like it. Luckily I was able to nap for a bit and it went away. I'm sure other people that aren't able to manage that stress could certainly cause a scene.

For others: Treat your crew members like you treat your grandmother, with the utmost respect and patience. They work very long and odd hours, often have no set schedule, and do it for fairly low pay. They do it because they love it. Oh and bringing them a little chocolate always makes their day :)
Thanks for such a cheerful, positive video. I loved the quote of the day, too. One that I use for my driving students is, "don't let the fear cloud the reality". In other words, in any situation whether it be in driving or in life, analyse the situation and understand what is real, rather than being afraid of something that's just in your mind and doesn't even exist and maybe never will.

Mine would be pursuing a flight attendant career. So many fears. Getting rejected, quitting my job, getting the job and not having an income for 6 weeks, living away from my husband and commuting. I was talking to my mom about this and she asked "Well, why do you want to do this?" I told her I've dreamed of this for years and I don't want to be in my 40's and regret not giving it a chance.
Yes!!!! All of those things are really scary but if you TRULY want this career go for it! If anything try it for a year, and if you hate it after a year you’ll know you tired 🙂
