It's not about view count as First Kill got cancelled and was in Top 10 for 3 full weeks. Getting almost 100million hours watched and they still got cancelled. Netflix is currently making dumb decisions.
They spent so all season revolving around Landon & hope, they didn’t develop other cast members, they didn’t explore Hope’s bisexuality, Alaric should have been gone, okays enemies should have came after hope, she should have traveled back & forth to New Orleans, they didn’t explore her werewolf side more, they didn’t explore her vampire side more, etc

They could have bring back the hollow and make her realize that her dad died for "nothing" since the hollow is still roaming on earth looking for her , if they wanted an overarching villain the hollow would have been perfect , the whole hope goes bad arch could have been full tribrid hope putting the hollow back into her but not being strong enough to control it . Aurora could've been working with the hollow just to ruin hope's life
Legacies totally deserves more seasons. Netflix or Prime can pick up the series. Peck should try to have one of those outlets pick up the series. It was my absolute favorite because, of the VD universe. I am a VD, Originals and now Legacies top fan.

I literally spent day and night watching all the series from the originals to vampire diaries to legacies I love scary movies and I loved all of the young supernatural actor / actress they were so cool and solved Many problem's with monsters all by themselves!! HOPE has more amazing story for the fans she's so strong
Another issue is a couple of the actors left and never returned. Rafael went to work on other things, Josie left the show for good and I heard Danielle was done playing Hope ( not sure how true that is) and it was unrealistic how the characters from the other universes were not there often especially Caroline and Hopes family in some of these major moments but they made it all clear they were done with their characters… Paul did direct some- I know for sure he directed the episode where we think Landon’s dead and he becomes a Phoenix which is a great episode… Ian said he would come back only to direct tho… Nina is too busy with her career. Caroline I think could have made more episodes… but most of them already said point blank they weren’t gonna be part of it I think Julie had high hopes but even the show has inconsistencies. Stefan burned his journals when he got mad and lost his memory (the ones they were speaking of) and yet they were there to be looked at and the (elusive Tin Katherine Pierce Pic) that was burned to create ash so they could get in the tomb magically was whole again in that glass showcase too 😂😂 There were more but that made me laugh bc it was the same producer of all 3 shows. 🤦🏻♀️
Legacies needs at least one more season, maybe even a spinoff. It is hard for millions of fans to give up 13 years, 3 shows, and 331 episodes of heartfelt and sometimes relatable entertainment.
The series was "good" as a teen drama. But didn't hold up to the shows it was meant to be the legacy of. They failed to deliver on the mood the made the Vampire Diaries and the originals popular, they turned their backs on the very things that made the shows successful, tht took a toll. On its own that might not be enough, but the cw has had similar issues with other shows, across the arrow verse shows. Everything has been failing due to the direction tht they took the shows.
Exactly , the other 2 series were darker , grittier left me going .....wow did that just happen ? I litterally fell asleep to the legacies because it failed to keep me watching. For me the best would be entire rework of the show. The background was amazing. One of the most interesting parts of TVD and TO (gemini coven, Hope as a "lucifer", entire Mystic Falls) were main plot of Legacies. And I loved that idea. But the way how they made this show for 12 years old kids was awful. TVDU already had milions of fans. If Legacies would be as dark & bloody as TVD and TO it would be much better show. Also why the hell plot of first 3 seasons was the same? why the hell Hope became strongest creature in the world fighting with gargoil and santa xD? everything doesn't make sense. I want to see Legacies: reborn. The same cast but with the chills from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Dark, bloody humor, many "adult-funny-jokes" and everything like that would make this show AMAZING. Still I love Hope, I love Danielle. I just regret that she spent 5 years of his life working for a project which after all was a big mistake. I hope she will find new, great production now, where she will show her real potential. I believe she can became awesome actress.

Making the show this way was one of the big reasons this turned into a flop. And as I keep saying, having the same villain for 4 seasons straight was both stupid and lazy. They really should just rename the show to "The Malivore Chronicles Starring THE NECROMANCER!". The show was more about those two than anything else.

See i think they should've wrapped up the malivore arc in like a season so not so much would've gotten introduced . Then they could've built on the things that were introduced by malivore like a bunch of people having powers given out like vampire dragon hybrids ( just an example ), then it could be like how do they handle rippers who have those powers , really could've fit into the " upgraded vampire " theme you mentioned. Malivore introducing all these other things back to back was just a bit much like almost felt like the writter was binge watching supernatural while writing .

Honestly speaking Legacies wasn’t as good as TO or TVD. It’s a little bit less powerful and dramatic which was what made TO and TVD so good to watch. Like for example we got to see Witches actually use badass magic and vampires + werewolves being at their prime. There’s also great humour embedded unlike legacies is feels more kid-friendly. Hope was fucking insane as a kid in TO whereas they powered her down in Legacies as a full tribrid. Honestly they made hope look as strong as Elijah or Klaus when she’s supposed to be leagues stronger.
I thought maybe Josie would come back but Someone told me that Matt Davis was actually really inappropriate with the girls. I was like wait what? CW also apparently got sold so did a whole cleanup. Which was unfortunately MOST of my shows :(

İn my opinion, the last season was a bit detached from the others. İ liked Landon's part though, that was satisfying. İ think the gods part was too rushed. There were far too many possibilities they missed (or missed on purpose idk). They had amazing monsters though lol.. i liked the way the show wasn't too dark and laced with humours.

Legacies ruined the universe of the originals and tvd, Landon character was annoying, imagine if they actually did something out of the magical twins and the "tribrid" the originals build up this insane story of hope to develop the original family and they ended up ruining this "legacy", by adding absurd amounts of new monsters and "gods", this show could be a way better than it was, I'm glad it was canceled
Landon was not annoying he has terrible writing like becoming a phoenix and being able to fly but they took it away. In season 4 he is actually a great character

The only reason I kept watching Legacies was for Hope and Lizzie as characters and whether Hafael would happen. I liked Landon but the whole on and off love story became annoying halfway the first season. The plot is okay but def not the TVD level. I still liked it and I think it had good ideas.

Story lines were used up. The only thing awesome about the final season was that handsome God dude. OMG that is some beautiful man. The rest of the show, they just seemed to run empty on story lines, AND these characters were too old to continue being high schoolers. I can see that it needed to come to an end.
Tbh I am not shocked that Legacies got canceled. It lead off good to cheesy episodes. The writers shoulda kept it just the storyline of vampire, werewolves, witches, but they dragged it having Gods, fairy, unicorn, golems and etc. and the storyline felt rushed and no effort.

The real truth is is the CW got bought out by another company that already had owned quite a bit of stock in the CW channel but the company purchased it out right and they have decided to change their demographic view turns out most people who watched the CW or in their 50s and they're changing their things around to Target a broader variety of people that way they can make money and some of the shows yes they were canceled some were moved to HBO Max and other things like that
it was cancelled because it was boring and woke.....pre-teens having opinions on things like "reaganomics" or feminism meanwhile exploring an exhausting long single plot storyline throughout the entire multi-season run......it was absolutely terrible compared to TVD and TO......only semi-cool thing was introducing "traditional" monsters but they never expanded any lore or created any true storylines so it essentially was the same episode over and over with [insert monster here] in the plot *YAWN* The show was more of a sitcom style where each episode can be rewatched without really knowing what happened before.....there was a very loose storyline between episodes and practically zero character development......it didn't even play the romance, suspense, mystery cards right

But what Netflix didnt take into account was, this was a new show that was competing with Sttanger Things, Umbrella Academy, etc. The numbers were insane but First Kill had little to no promotion and was as well marketed the wrong way as said by the showrunner. This further solidifies why Netflix has lost over a million subscribers within 3 months. They cancel lesbian tv shows with promotion but promote anti LGBT comedies and misleading documentaries. Netflix better give up the rights to First Kill, or else the FK fanbase is coming to cancel them.

I think Netflix can be a great choice but at the same time not everyone can afford all these contracts and stuff like that with all these third party television apps. I can name a metric crap ton of things that they did wrong with this show, but that would take way too long. Instead I'll just list one of the big reasons this show tanked: the entire show felt like it was "Vampire Diaries for kids".
CGI was so bad and season 1-3 was all about random monsters and malivor. Wasn’t a fan of all the monsters and malivors appearance… like story made sense but still It got old real quick. Season 4 was good and had potential but felt rushed.
I just wish that Legacies kept going and my mom says well at least you have some time to write my book and Hope and Landon have a kid that in my book that I am their daughter and I wish that maybe that Hope and Landon ( Danielle and Aria) can make their own movie but just them and their lives.

Rafael went to work on other things, Josie left the show for good and I heard Danielle was done playing Hope ( not sure how true that is) and it was unrealistic how the characters from the other universes were not there often especially Caroline and Hopes family in some of these major moments but they made it all clear they were done with their characters… Paul did direct some- I know for sure he directed the episode where we think Landon’s dead and he becomes a Phoenix which is a great episode… Ian said he would come back only to direct tho… Nina is too busy with her career. Caroline I think could have made more episodes… but most of them already said point blank they weren’t gonna be part of it I think Julie had high hopes but even the show has inconsistencies. Stefan burned his journals when he got mad and lost his memory (the ones they were speaking of) and yet they were there to be looked at and the (elusive Tin Katherine Pierce Pic) that was burned to create ash so they could get in the tomb magically was whole again in that glass showcase too 😂😂 There were more but that made me laugh bc it was the same producer of all 3 shows. 🤦🏻♀️
Legacies needs at least one more season, maybe even a spinoff. It is hard for millions of fans to give up 13 years, 3 shows, and 331 episodes of heartfelt and sometimes relatable entertainment.
The series was "good" as a teen drama. But didn't hold up to the shows it was meant to be the legacy of. They failed to deliver on the mood the made the Vampire Diaries and the originals popular, they turned their backs on the very things that made the shows successful, tht took a toll. On its own that might not be enough, but the cw has had similar issues with other shows, across the arrow verse shows. Everything has been failing due to the direction tht they took the shows.
Exactly , the other 2 series were darker , grittier left me going .....wow did that just happen ? I litterally fell asleep to the legacies because it failed to keep me watching. For me the best would be entire rework of the show. The background was amazing. One of the most interesting parts of TVD and TO (gemini coven, Hope as a "lucifer", entire Mystic Falls) were main plot of Legacies. And I loved that idea. But the way how they made this show for 12 years old kids was awful. TVDU already had milions of fans. If Legacies would be as dark & bloody as TVD and TO it would be much better show. Also why the hell plot of first 3 seasons was the same? why the hell Hope became strongest creature in the world fighting with gargoil and santa xD? everything doesn't make sense.
I want to see Legacies: reborn. The same cast but with the chills from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Dark, bloody humor, many "adult-funny-jokes" and everything like that would make this show AMAZING.
Still I love Hope, I love Danielle. I just regret that she spent 5 years of his life working for a project which after all was a big mistake.

Exactly 100% correct. I don't know what the F they were trying to do but Legacies feels like it was made for children. WTF? Making the show this way was one of the big reasons this turned into a flop. And as I keep saying, having the same villain for 4 seasons straight was both stupid and lazy. They really should just rename the show to "The Malivore Chronicles Starring THE NECROMANCER!". The show was more about those two than anything else.

See i think they should've wrapped up the malivore arc in like a season so not so much would've gotten introduced . Then they could've built on the things that were introduced by malivore like a bunch of people having powers given out like vampire dragon hybrids ( just an example ), then it could be like how do they handle rippers who have those powers , really could've fit into the " upgraded vampire " theme you mentioned. Malivore introducing all these other things back to back was just a bit much like almost felt like the writter was binge watching supernatural while writing .

Honestly speaking Legacies wasn’t as good as TO or TVD. It’s a little bit less powerful and dramatic which was what made TO and TVD so good to watch. Like for example we got to see Witches actually use badass magic and vampires + werewolves being at their prime. There’s also great humour embedded unlike legacies is feels more kid-friendly.
Hope was fucking insane as a kid in TO whereas they powered her down in Legacies as a full tribrid. Honestly they made hope look as strong as Elijah or Klaus when she’s supposed to be leagues stronger.
I am still waiting for season 1-4 of the originals to be uploaded to HBO Max or Netflix again.

I can name a metric crap ton of things that they did wrong with this show, but that would take way too long. Instead I'll just list one of the big reasons this show tanked: the entire show felt like it was "Vampire Diaries for kids".
CGI was so bad and season 1-3 was all about random monsters and malivor. Wasn’t a fan of all the monsters and malivors appearance… like story made sense but still It got old real quick. Season 4 was good and had potential but felt rushed.
Also was not a fan of hope and Landon low key waited for Landon to die the whole series lol
I just wish that Legacies kept going and my mom says well at least you have some time to write my book and Hope and Landon have a kid that in my book that I am their daughter and I wish that maybe that Hope and Landon ( Danielle and Aria) can make their own movie but just them and their lives.
