seriously. this is great... humbling. i'm a pro player (not classical) and I'm trying to learn this piece. this is the top hit on RUclips - yes, probably because she's pretty. it's a visual medium. but she can also play her ass off. everybody just deal with it.
tristan avakian I came from the opposite direction: trained as a classical guitarist, looked down on electric guitarists. It wasn't until I took up the electric that I realized it needs a virtuosity all of its own to be good at which was humbling.
Someone who put in the time and effort transcribing this piece to electric would end up with a lot of views.

Many guitarists are focused on technique and accuracy during performances. She, however, is simply enjoying each and every note as they flow from the instrument as if she is listening to someone else perform and she too is part of the audience. Extraordinary.

2:17...she delivers from this part to the end the most amazing interpretation of the piece from most (if not all) covers i saw on youtube, not only she delivers a tiny bit more of speed..but it does the almost perfect speed to not sound rushed, the pull of and hammers on..so clear, she its really connected to the piece in a way. Its hard to find covers that looks like the guitarrist is one with the piece. Havent found a cover that feel sooo smooth like..never. its my opinion i guest, but i wanna really clap your connection with the piece.

This is the problem with classical guitar very often played by "men". They look like "priests" dying on the cross while they play. It is a social determined attitude mainly. Lack of simplicity, desire to shine and wish to have the "first place". And it does not work.
She makes music and guitar happy. She is the One.

Dear Tatyana, I started learning this song myself and your video helps me a lot! I saw this video 5 or 6 years ago and I was impressed how beautiful this song is. Also, I saw how hard it is. But, finally, I decided to learn it because, with little effort, everything is possible!
Your technique is superb, I admire how well you breath with your instrument. Most people don't realize how important proper breathing is for a neat technique like yours. Clear, transparent and full of emotion, yet well balanced.

wow. this piece is played probably 10 million times by 1 million players since Tarrega wrote it. And I listened to it quite a few times from many players and played it myself start to finish. This rendition stands out from the crowd.

An excellent arrangement of a beautiful piece and what a dynamic range of feeling and sound! The musician manages to get out of the way of herself and simply present the music as it was meant to be heard.

I am certainly no expert on classical guitar music but I would have to disagree with a comment previously posted about your interpretation vs Segovia or Parkening. I find yours to be quite expressive. Only Tarrega himself would have the right to say that your version is wrong. This version...your version I find to be so far the most beautiful. One day I hope that you will perform in Denver, Colorado. I think that you will be remembered as one of the great guitar players.

Austin Wilkins, most classical players have good techniques but they don't have music. Few do, this player is one of them that are good.
Plus the instrument is of super quality.

Thank you Tatyana for inspiring me on my musical journey! I saw this incredible performance of yours around 8 years ago and immediately rushed out to buy a classical guitar to learn this song.
It was IMPOSSIBLE!
I couldn't even get through the first few bars of hammer on/pull offs and my fingers physically couldn't stretch more than 3 frets without buzzing 😂
I went and looked for some easier songs to learn and in my search discovered a love for fingerstyle covers and blues.
So I bought a steel string acoustic guitar and put the classical to the side for a bit.
Long story short, the other day one of your Ask Tatyana videos popped up in my recommended section and I was like wow, she now teaches amazing classes on youtube as well! I started watching that playlist and out of interest I dusted off the old classical guitar to attempt Capricho Arabe again and I can't believe it, I played it all the way through from start to finish!
Admittedly only at 50% speed but it seems these years of fingerstyle practice and finger stretching have made it possible!
I want to say how grateful I am to you for inspiring me to learn guitar, and I'm sure you've inspired so many other people too with your perfomaneces.
Your Ask Tatyana videos are excellent, I've learnt a lot from them this past week and now you've reignited my passion to pick up the classical guitar again thank you 😊

Beautiful in all respects. She was born in 1986 and the Chernobyl disaster was in April that year. Bylorusse suffered dreadfully as it lay in the direct path of the prevailing wind from Chernobyl and many children suffered and continue to suffer from that dreadful event. Glad to see that amazing beauty and talent can prevail.
