Pain was a great villain. He represented the little villages that suffered because of the large countries senseless fighting. He showed Naruto that peace isn't something that could be reached by simply defeating your enemy since their doing the same thing, making both sides the bad guy.
He's completely different from Madara, Obito, Sasuke and Kabuto who were just dragging everyone else into their suffering because they were only thinking about what they lost.
I mean Pain was doing EXACTLY what madara, obito, sasuke, and kabuto were doing as you said from you're second paragraph. I have NO idea why you're acting like it was any different because that's why ALL villains do. Wreck havoc. It's not a bad thing at all but you can't act like pain was any real different from all the other villains as pain was dragging everyone else into his suffering as well, that was the whole point of his plan, to everyone feel the same pain as he does. That's what ALL villains do.

Nah it's just shounen anime in it's safe home (by this I mean in most shounen anime women are just there to be seen as objects for males to perv on or be damsels in distress as seen in several anime. Black Clover in particular has done an exceptional job with its female characters: they get just as much screentime, development and moments to be badass as the male characters. Noelle in particular has been given the nickname, "The Anti-Sakura" by many that have seen both Naruto and Black Clover.
Words can't describe the excitement we had when these episodes were coming out.❤Truly the most unforgettable arc.

Best Naruto opening by far. Something about seeing these kids I grew up with rushing in head long to defend their home, now fully fledged ninja. And the way Naruto slams down in front of them, ready to make the final stand for his home. THIS is by far the BEST opening if we're talking visuals.

The siege of Konoha-gakure is always my favorite plot. From Jiraiya's fight, his training in the Frog mountain, and especially his fight which ended with peace with Pain. Damn, those were good times.
I felt this one...very strongly. Instead of being dark like the previous opening, it just felt very sad. It’s a very beautiful song, and gives off a sad emotional vibe, which undoubtedly fits the visual choices. Seeing the Ame orphans’ past and opening up with Jiraiya writing his next book in the heavens was already gut wrenching. Epic ending as well, with Naruto and Pain’s climactic showdown. This and Sign were top tier incredible.
Pain is a true villain.. basically the gold standard for villains.
