To all silencer expert folks, the transition from ambient dinner noise to sudden silence is giving us the POV of Mr Wrench who is deaf.
*everyone at the dinner table: "Did you all just hear a kinda loud gunshot?"
"AND someone falling over?"@@EustaBAracer

Deaf guy: Not me!
I can't imagine how dumb you'd have to be to believe this
When Emmit knelt down to get the salad, he gave Mr. Wrench the high ground.
Cringe
@@swimfan752 don’t try it.
Getting food from the refrigerator is not his plan…
How do u figure that. Both standing on the same floor . Unless Rick came in and made it truly level..
But the high ground
him looking at the pictures on the fridge , in a way his life flashes before his eyes before he died
nice touch
Yes, this series is brilliant.
Emmit just became more powerful than Mr. Wrench could possibly imagine…
Mr. Wrench: He can’t hear you but you can’t hear him either.
he's trained by hanzee
01:26 - That piano rendition of the Fargo theme is amazing.
Mr Wrench. Waiting like a boss for 5 years
Photos on the refrigerator = your life flashing before your eyes.
Thank you sir.. been hoping someone would post this since the finale.
I noticed he was killed next to his fridge just like the other Stussy murders (except for Ray)
What a detail!
There was only one other Stussy murder...
@@MisterNineEleven you should reconsider that
@@SimgoWood
Ray wasnt murdered.... That was involuntary manslaughter at best
@@MisterNineElevenyou need to watch the season again. They hired a guy to kill a bunch of people named stussy to cover emmits crimes.
First Mr Wrench lost Mr Numbers, then he lost Nicky
I know he's a murderer, but it's impossible not to get attached to him.
Still one of the most satisfying moments in Fargo history. So glad that Mr. Wrench survived. I wonder if Noah Hawley will ever do anything with the character?
Hopefully a season focused on him
he absolutly deserves to be main cast next season if it fits
@@stefanniko6686 Totally agreed.
A question:
How was the audience of fargo season 4? Hope it was good and they don't cancel the show..
fargo is aweasome and the season 4 is one the best seasons if not the best season.
@@dragonclaw445 I don’t think season 4 did too well
@@dragonclaw445 season four was great people just didn't like the fact Chris rock was leading even though he killed his role.

bang
Wait? It’s all Fargo?
That must have been one helluva jello....not only caught the bullet and all the splatter but also stopped the guy from falling into the fridge which would have caused all sorts of noise.
Didn’t even realize the importance of the jello lol
I think that bit was a stylistic choice lol, where they "deafen" the sound when the camera focuses on Mr. Wrench. They did it a few times this season, most noticeably when he wipes out Varga's men. Notice how the sound of his family in the background cuts out after the gunshot as well - he probably made a ton of noise when he fell, we just didn't hear it.
@@maxtenu Stylistic vs realistic.......my personal preference is realistic but i have no problem with stylistic as long as it is done well,.....and this is that.
This scene should be used for a jello commercial.
like the gunshot is not heard in the house next to them, lol
“How are ya there friend”
*long pause*
“Good as new”
Hahahahahahahahahahahhaha
I never realized Sy said that until your comment. I always thought Emmit said this as to reassure himself he did nothing wrong. It's nice that Sy says it indicating hes getting better.
@@gin.gefilms Sy was the one character I really felt bad for in this season. Dude really didn't deserve all the shit he had to go through and end up how he did. In my mind he's just going to keep getting better, even if his partner and hero won't be around anymore.
anyone titling those he speaks to as "friend" gives me the creeps. think it's a northern U.S./Canada thing
The Jeff Russo choir score for this scene is amazing. Makes me wanna develop a Minnesota accent lol. I already got a Chicago one so it won’t be that much of a reach.
He killed him because in Minnesota, it's considered extremely rude not to greet guests at the door with a friendly "Hello there!"
In my opinion season 3 was the darkest season..
Weakest*
I really liked Varga. Great character, you know, guy that knows the game and is on top of it.
This season was disappointing
@@TheFinalGate_ nah season 4 genuinely sucked. Season 3 is good not as good as s2 but decent.
S1 > S3 > S2 > S4. I had a hard time getting started for season 3 but it got really good. I couldn't even finish season 4.
Took me a few minutes to clock it is Ewan McGregor, Ewan is a such a brilliant & versatile actor 💯
The actress playing Emmit’s wife is Linda Kash from Toronto’s Second City. She has been in lots of movies and tv shows in Canada and the U.S., but is best known in Canada for ads she made for Philadelphia Cream Cheese where she played an angel. She is the daughter of opera star Maureen Forester.
Omg was wondering why she was so familiar
Minnesota seems like such a hollow dull place to live.
They're so good about gunplay and realism, from my understanding a shot even with a silencer are pretty loud. No way the other room didn't hear it but I'll let it go because Mr Wrench
@@weareall1111 Silencer and Suppressor are just different names for the same device
It was a stylistic choice to basically deafen the sound because Mr. Wrench is deaf. That said, I do agree that the people in the dining room definitely heard, especially since it's an open-concept kitchen.
I think after Wrench killed him, he no longer cared if they caught him. At this point, he had absolutely nothing left.
Fargo is great show
I don't know what to comment on
I need wrench to come back somehow in season 5.
Never go for the salad…. Stick with the meat and potatoes.
funny if you know the season but it would have made little difference
I was rooting for Emmit until he had his partner poisoned. That’s when he stopped being the victim.
He didn't, that was Varga
@@MrClean3381 he talked it over with emmit before hand and enmit agreed that he was getting in the way.
Lester was the real victim, he said so himself, several times.
"Because of -Obi Wan- Ewan McGregor?"
@@thenoneckpeoplerepresentat8074 OMG HAHAHAH
I wonder why it took him 5 years.
if season 5 is main character and we see him throughout the years...i wouln't complain lol
Totally would not complain.
I would want to see him and numbers through the years like training with hanzee but i would want zahn mcclarnon to come back to play hanzee
Idk. Gotta lie low I guess? I’m sure there’s a reason
@@idrinkyourmilkshake845 He had a big ol suitcase filled with cash lol I'd take a vacation too.
I like that he used a 1911. The sound design was still like a .22, but at least the prop crew knew to use a .45.
Not a bad way to go out happy with the family everything is going along splendidly cheer in your heart And then poof either up or down
Just when you think you have it all…
For better health, always keep your food in the refrigerator, Emmit.
So badass
He is similar to Boone’s ending in Fallout New Vegas, Boone was the last thing you never saw before you died, and Mr. Wrench was the last thing you never heard.
I liked Emmit and I was sad to see him die after getting something of a happy ending
It wasn't sad for Emmit...he was happy when he died ...and never saw it coming.....too bad they didn't show Ray (the cat) again.
are u kidding me? he borrowed a million dollars from some random. he never figured out how to go to his wife for the longest time and say that he didn't cheat. he accursed his partner of going against him. he left his brother's body, a cop's body, and nikki's body just laying there. he grabbed his secretary harshly. he was always calling his brother a loser and he was the one who started the issue when they were young with the stamps. he was ok with framing nikki with his brother's death. and even when he told nikki, go ahead kill me, he decides it was convenient the cop arrived and told him to shoot her.
@@janettripper3132 well yeah he's terrible but i think death isn't his punishment, i thought backruptcy or something would be a more satisfying ending for him
@@janettripper3132 "he borrowed a million dollars from some random" - Act of stupidity more than malice. He didn't go to his wife because he had a lot of other shit going on at the time and was completely broken down during that period...he left the cop's, Nikki's bodies because they were already dead. What was he supposed to do? Drive around with their bodies in his trunk. "he grabbed his secretary harshly" - Seriously ?? He grabbed her in a moment of panic when he thought Ray was somehow taking revenge on him from beyond the grave. Not to mention, he apologized immediately afterwards. Emmit was flawed, stupid and a coward but the only person who truly deserved to die in this season was Varga.
@julian marx Yes, correct
Why is this badass
A silencer with that much muzzle-flash is gonna be loud...but the shooter don't mind.
The reason it sounds so quiet is because we went into Mr. Wrench's perspective, and he's supposed to be deaf.
anyone know the score used in the death scene?
It's just an operatic version of the Fargo theme song
Fargo season 3 theme.
Mr wrench: may the force be with you
“Silencers don’t work like that” 🤓. It’s a story
Lmao I wish silencers worked like that in real life 😂
Nah, it just sounded like that cuz he was deaf so they deafened the sounds
I choose to believe Mr. Wrench shot the Jello mold.
sadly burgle asks varga if he did kill him
Not bad
Emmit death= Loy Cannon death
Silencers are bloody loud, they all would have heard the shot.
They probably did anyway because it's an open concept kitchen, but one I don't think Mr. Wrench cares, and two the noise cut out because we essentially went into his perspective as Mr. Wrench is deaf.
For me it is still a secret why Mr. Wrench did this. Emmit was the last to be blamed for all that happened with his company and those killings that were committed. In my humble opinion.
I think he did it for her, as a sign of respect
@@Tk-mj1cl A sign of simp.
god told them to
Nikki asks him to do it the last time they see eachother
Because Nikki made it clear to Wrench that she wanted him dead.
Emmit killed Ray. It was an accident for sure but that happened.
He then let Varga frame Nikki for the murder, which also was going to lead to her being killed if Wrench wasn't there to help her. And she knew that those guys were connected to Emmit because they showed up and savagely beat her when she was meeting with Sy.
So regardless of how much Emmit was responsible for Nikki was able to deduce that he was involved in Ray's death and her near murder, because she otherwise wouldn't have been on Varga's radar.
He parked his car like any self respecting BMW owner

1.off shores account (probably actually has)
2. He had a chance to confess twice
3. He doesn’t feel bad for ray he doest have his picture up just his family and his mom and dad
@Lol -Brodan_- no doubt it is
@Lol -Brodan_- emmit isn’t the the main bad guy it’s clearly varga but some of varga speech rubbed off on emmit same with Malvo and Lester.
Emmit had chances to confess and decided not too. Emmit and I believe he does have some offshore accounts. Plus he barley feels any guilt like I said before he doest have any pictures of ray and panics and gets varga
@Ooga Booga Emmit only stands up to Varga after he signed over the entire company though. Nothing was stopping him from naming Varga when he confessed to Gloria but he didn’t because he’s a wuss. Yes I realize Varga had people in the police but honestly at that point he should’ve confessed after his best friend and brother were both dead or near dead.
@@planetoffkey4337 thanks I actually was gonna mentioned that as well
@Ooga Booga I know he goes to the police. He tells a whole confession. When Gloria asks him to name Varga, he refuses. He has numerous opportunities to prevent the situation but doesn’t. There are moments where I like Emmit too. But his irresponsibility, egged on by his friend Sy - who ended up regretting that, and getting soft - cost a lot of people their lives. He’s very flawed I agree and so is everyone in the season.
Why is he called an antagonist on the wiki for this?
Because of the crimes he committed in season 1

While Emmett is a grey character, he didn't murder anyone. So many people were eager to see his character murdered off. Most commenters were baying for his blood with this type of comments: he didn't truly repent, he didn't go to jail though he had chance, he is still enjoying offshore money. All these arguments show a hateful attitude. He is a rich guy by his own efforts. He would have had the same lifestyle had universe didn't introduce the Verga character who overpowered him in every way, depriving him of his dignity. Time and again, Emmett tried to make amends which didn't work. The hate comment section gives me goosebumps as to how many people justify murder for arbitrary reasons citing 'payback'. EDIT: Now that I think about it, his 'grayness' is similar to that of 'Julius Caesar', a made man who defied odds to achieve success and still got an untimely ending by people whose whole achievement was 'murder of Caesar' and causing instability in Rome.
Yeah, it's sad how people will worship a cold blooded hitman because it's something so outside of their realities they loose perspective, so it's "baddass" and therefore ok. But thrust a common man with realistic flaws into an impossible situation and they'll be demanding his head in a platter.
"Pitchfork Peasants" just like Varga says........lets be real, he walks out of that room with Gloria in the end, that IS the way the world works
@@beanns6632 His brother's death was a freak accident. He was actually trying to mend their relationship
@@AK-mz9ykA freak accident he followed up by getting the blame placed on another person who would've also been murdered and disappeared. Followed up by the accident of agreeing to have his closest friend "removed."
None of which would've happened if he'd actually looked for a way to cut ties with Varga when he clocked he was worse than shady.

I'm sorry but I thought season 3 and season 4 sucked (3 sucked harder). I hate all the "this is a TRUE story" buuuut..... we don't know whether or not the brit gets hemmed up. If it is a true story, Fn tell it! Season 1 and 2 were the shit.
season 4 was dogshit. season 3 imbued philosophy into the show.
Season 3 was amazing
The reason they don’t show it is cause we make the answer
The whole show is about morality & the truth. It’s supposed to be ambiguous so we make our own answer
Like the spinning top from inception, not having an answer is part of life
@kainightingale253 Yea, which works for "Inception" but THIS story was pitched as historical fact, it actually happened. That isn't something we need to be deciding how it ended. That would be like a Malcolm X movie that shows his entire development. Then shows him get shot buuuut, we will just let the audience decide whether or not he made it. "Total Recall"? Sure, the story is OURS, we call it. However, if they say it is a TRUE story, it shouldn't be ambiguous. Am I making sense (I just woke up)?
@@Ten_Mil_Will what about Oppenheimer then? Or last duel? Every movie & show does this
Season 2 and 1 in that order is best. Then 4 and 3
Didn't think it was that badass. Wrench is basically an unstoppable assassin by this point, whereas Emmit has become the Lester of season 3. Emmitt tried to do the right thing and confess to Gloria, and it wasn't his fault that Gloria's boss is a moron. Then when he had his 2nd shot, he screwed it up by getting Nikki killed. If Nikki had killed him, Emmitt still had a decent shot at coming back as a puppy, maybe reuniting with Ray.
why didnt he just give ray the stamp...he couldve atoned for tricking him with the corvette...all of this wouldve been avoided
He...tried to?
He did try. Ray was the one who somehow rejects it and accidentally kills himself
Wow. Not only did the suppressor take 100% of the gun sound away, it also somehow muted the sound of a 165lb dead body falling inside of a fridge.
The audio switches to be from Mr. Wrench pov, who is mostly deaf.
Good thing the pwip sound is at the end. Real mood-killer.
Silencers are not THAT quiet at all! Lol
The old movie myth about slinencers. They make less noise, but the other people nearby would hear it. It is louder than what movies portray, even if it is small caliber.
Wrench is deaf.
The sound of a suppressed 1911 is utterly unrealistic and his body would thud to the floor
🤓🤓🤓
yes and crash half of the fridge contents
This show writing sometimes Seems dumb
So u telling me at takes wrench 5 yrs to kill emmit and he finishes him in his home in broad daylight what kinda assassin he is😂
Who knows lol
A suppressor on a 1911 45ACP can reduce the impulse noise to about 133dB, which is still loud enough to cause hearing damage. Everyone in the house would have jumped out of their chairs--even the wheelchair guy. The suppressor would do nothing to cover the sound of the pistol cycling, the slide banging home, the empty case rattling across the floor, the ripe pop of Mr. Stussy's skull, the sound of the exiting slug smashing into stuff in the fridge, the sounds of Mr. Stussy falling and dragging the contents of the fridge down with him. I know TV is just fantasy, but whoever wrote this scene didn't even try.
I try to tell myself that it’s from the perspective of Mr wrench, and that the noise is more of a vibration. In my heart I know it’s not the case and they simply fucked up this scene.
Factard! 😛😂

This scene ruined the entire season for me. It still pisses me off.
Ik it was super lazy writing, its like they were going for lester nygaard ending but it just didnt work out
SAME OMG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO FELT THAT WAY
me too.. and people here (obviously written by opinion factories, its radicalization media sadly) Grew up the sun of a business man, emmit is on the very "soft"territory. most are closer to varga(in a more realistic way)
1911/45ACP and no one heard that shot from the room right next to the kitchen?? when will hollywood understand how suppressors work? lol
God you gun aspies are annoying.
The show is not meant to be realistic down to minutiae.
There's a ghost in one season and a ufo in another.
Suppressors (silencers) don't sound like that. Especially on center-fire rounds. And no double tap? No easing the body down?Yeah this guy is far from a pro.
look up silenced 45acp. kool scene but totally implausable.
Minor continuity error with the firearm; the ejection port is on the right side for right handed users, yet the casing flies left. The shooter isn't wearing a mask or gloves, which is weird cause using a silencer implies he wants to flee the scene undetected, there was a host in the next room so they might see him, and the solienced shot only benefits the shooter if he doesn't want the neighbors to be aware there was a gunshot and look outside to see thee murderer. And I don't get why the murder is taking place in daytime, at a dinner party with a lerstivrly large host and in a suburban neighborhood. If its a vendetta slaying the players would know who the culprit was, so why in a neighborhood in day when the associates if the victim will know who committed the act even if they weren't present?
Shut up. It's a show Urban Cowboy.
Sounds like yo crazy ass lurking in the cut. Say less
@@aduarte8057 I would recommend you think more, but that would imply the precedence of intellectual thought. Your mom should have swallowed.
Crimes committed in the open is kind of a theme in all seasons. Why would lorne kidnap an accountant in the middle of his office, right in front of all of his coworkers and surveilance cameras? Why would he offer a complete Stranger to murder someone for him when lester could have just reported him to the police? Why would mister Wrench and mister numbers start shooting up lornes car in the middle of the day instead of following him to his motel room? Why did lorne whait untill Mr Milos woke up and was walking around the house to replace the pills, instead of just doing it the night before when everyone was asleep?
The show tells you that these people dont care and that the law isnt as omnipresent as the average citizen likes to think. In every season you have a small rural town that is in complete shock that something bad hapenes to them. "The world is turning to shit" is what they say, but in reality its always been like that, they simply never saw it. Obviously its not 100% realistic, its a TV show, and nitpicking these details because it wouldnt be realistic in real life is pretty pointless. When the show tells you that hitmen dont have to care about wearing masks, that the criminal world is so powerfull that they dont have to fear consequences, you can either accept it and enjoy the show, or complain that it wouldnt work like that in real life and miss out on an amazing show with a great story and fascinating characters.
Where do you see the shell fly left?
If they're trying to make this wrench guy sympathetic they're doing it wrong. Forget the way they dumped that guy in the lake through the ice hole, and were going to do it
to Lester till he got away? Hit men somehow get no sympathy from me.
Season 3 was a low point, started OK but got bad, the ending-terrible. Season 1 by far the best, never looked at 4.
I personally liked season 4 better than season 3. So many well written interesting characters.
What I don't like is that Mr Wrench and Numbers are buffoons in season 1 but in 3 he is supposedly a master hitman?
@@CabbageYeTheir not buffoons. The whole reason why Lorne Malvo sets Mr. Wrench free in season 1 is as a sign of respect: they got the closest to actually killing him (before his actual death).
This doesn't mean their above making mistakes nor do those mistake disqualify someone from becoming better.
@@CabbageYeWrench and Numbers figured out Lester was involved in the murder that brought them to town, that he killed his own wife, and Numbers picked up on Lester knowing who actually did it, then tracked him down. They were pretty far from buffoons.
The fact that this random deaf nobody who appeared in the last 2 episodes out of nowhere
gets to kill Emmit is insulting. He doesn't even have a good motive, he and Nikki knew each other
for like 2 days. And Emmit deserved a happy ending after everything he's been through.
Mr Wrench appeared in a lot of season 1 and was a really great character then he had a cameo in season 2, he didn't show up out of nowhere. Plus he and Nikki knew each other for over 2 months and seemed to develop a pretty close partnership, it would only make sense that he would want to do this for her. Besides Emmit was far from the good guy in this story, "everything he's been through" was pretty much his fault.
“Random deaf nobody” clearly you didn’t watch the first season or do any research before making opinions at all. Mr. Wrench wasn’t a fucking nobody
