But all three of them are great singers, definitely top tier singers in Glee along with Amber for sure.

In the end, this was not only a much better way to showcase her talent on this particular song (isolated, with the right production), but because the song means so much to her and is so powerful, it made something as seemingly bland as an audition feel striking, powerful, and unexpexted. After 4 seasons we were all used to her being an incredible singer, that much is a given. And "Rachel" was going to nail any song she chose to sing. So to somehow still blow us out of the water when the bar was so high was really something. I'm glad he held it back. He picked the right moment.
For me this is the song that proves Lea is by far the most technically proficient singer in Glee. There are some great singers in the cast, but what she does here is beyond the abilities of most people. She is careful to keep it in her range too which gives her greater control over all the breath work. My favourite solo performance of hers. Felt more of Lea and less of Rachel too.

The only singer I wished had more songs than Rachel is Rory his voice was like chocolate melting in your mouth delicious goodness.

Yes, she said in an interview it was longer, she doesn’t take a breath before the sentence before the frilly notes, it’s more like 25 seconds.
