I lived for six. years about half way between the outskirts of Belleville and Metter. Those were the days. Wow! Anyone remember Hendrix little market? That was right by my house. Long time ago now. Nice people out that way.
I haven't looked at this video in some time and of course this was prior to covid, but hopefully next time on my way to Savannah I can sit a spell and enjoy the simple life. I live in the Atlanta area and this would be a welcome change. My dad even mentioned 🙄 Metter when I was young. As I got older, understand why.
I love our town, but a lot of us sure do wish something would be done about our water. A lot of us are always having to fight with brown water. The water dept has lied to us and said it was on our end. However we found out that several of our neighbors and some people across town are experiencing the same thing. Then the water department changed their story and said it's because of the fire hydrants getting drained. Guess what, that's not true either. It happens every day and our fire hydrant isn't getting messed with. A lot of people have complained, even took it to the news, still nothing. Then they continue to raise our taxes. It's a good town, but it's not perfect. So if you come to Metter, don't drink the water!

This is concerning, we are looking at moving to Metter next month! The house we are buying is on well, I wonder if the water is bad now! Thanks! 👍🏽❤️
