@@cwaice6116 It would completely ruin the cinematic structure of the cut-scenes. Half of the time we would be looking at Joel's feet, his firearm, or some random building off in the distance. They would have to render completely different set pieces and structures, that may not even exist in real time, since environment artists are only going to put detail in to rendering what is in the frame of the shot at the time of the scene. Not to mention many of the cut-scenes take place outside of playable level environments. Think about RDR2 when you play in first person, it immediately goes to third person when a cut-scene happens. There is a reason for that.

I wish ND would add this officially as a fun toggle feature thing, similar to what Capcom did with Resident Evil 8 by adding a third person mode to the game, and what Rockstar did when they added First Person to GTA V.
This is prime example of why, even with exclusive to a specific console, PC must ALWAYS be the exception. Even if the port isn’t good, and it takes time to get patch, modders will always arrive to improve the game with additional content that developers can’t do due to corporate/financial restraint.

Pair this with infinite ammo, space out more enemies all over every map and it will be incredible for subsequent replays. Most games that have secondary/modded viewpoints never really look or work well but this looks absolutely amazing
