Jim Thompson graduated from Carleton University in 1996 with a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, specializing in aerodynamics and propulsion. Since graduation he has worked for the defense contractor Davis Engineering where he presently manages the Aero/thermal & Performance Group. Jim lives in Ottawa, Canada with is wife and two kids, and observes primarily via Electronically Assisted Astronomy from his backyard. Jim has established himself as an expert in the field of astronomical filters, as much out of curiosity as necessity.
