Many accuse that Bhagavad Gitā, i.e. Bhagavad-gitā As It Is has wrong translation. They further claim that Bhagavad-gitā As It Is purposely deludes the readers who dont know the Sanskrit language. Is it not, that Bg as it is have word-to-word translation for each verse of the Bhagavad-gitā, just above the main translation & they mostly have *absolute literal translations*? It also have perfect english script of the original Sanskrit verse, even along with pronunciation guides, all in order to help the readers who don’t know to read devanāgarī script and are ignorant of Sanskrit. Infact, at the end of Bhagavad-gitā as It Is, there’s an entire special section to help us learn basics of Sanskrit. Why would anyone do that if they want to give distorted translations suiting their vested interests? Why not simply give the english translation as most out there do? If one had read the bhagwat Gita as it is he would have known that in the very introduction of Bg the reason for stating buddhi yoga as bhakti yoga is stated. Infact, at many places in bg as it is , in the purports, reason is stated again and again. So where is the question of deluding readers? Bg as it is also have a non literal translation, the opponents claim that as a wrong translation. Know a very basic fact that literal translation is not the only type of translation. It’s not a bookish knowledge, it’s a common sense as well. There is absolutely no such hard rule of translating absolutely literally. Here itself the entire propaganda of wrong translation is utterly thrown out of the window. There are eight types of translation, namely - word-for-word translation, literal translation, faithful translation, semantic translation, adaptive translation, free translation, idiomatic translation and communicative translation. Gita press is authentic and so too is Bg as it is. Both versions have almost same translations with a very few differences. The little differences arose because bg as it is tries to convey the essance of bg throughout it so that readers don't daviate from essance of bg while reading bg.

Still there are incorrect translations in Bhagavad Gita of Iskcon which needs to be corrected especially english ones like translations of Dharma is mentioned as "Religion " which is clearly incorrect
@@akashsahu7308 I have read all versions of Bhagavad-GITA, so I can tell that Iskon Bhagavad-Gita is the best out of all. There is no incorrect translation in ISKON Bhagavad-GITA. You have been conditioned against Iskon to think like that.I think you haven't yet came across other versions of Bhagvad-Gita of M. K. Gandhi, Swami Chinmayanand, Swami Mukundanand, Swami Ramsukhdas and H. Poddar of Gita press. Even Gita Press used to have 4-5 versions with commentaries of different authors. Along with that there is Dnyaneshwari, Ramanuja Commentary on Gita, Shankaracharya commentary on Gita even Ramkrishna mission as well as Brahmakumaris too have their own commentary of Bhagvad-Gita. The people who think that all Iskon belief and rituals and all wrong are actually “wrong” themselves for not being able to digest the facts of Sanatan Dharma and Bhagvad-GITA. What Prabhupada did that is absolutely right 😊 do everything but without bhakti everything is like wandering like a bull which would only hit others without bhakti. And there would be no conclusion. Things I noticed about iskcon bhagwad geeta! ( I'm not a hater and I'm not here to defame our sanatan dharma but jo maine notice kiya wo bata raha hu) 1. First of all I'm not defaming any one's thought and belief system but maine iskcon ki puri bhagwad geeta padhi hai aur ye puri ki puri bhakti oriented hai, iske har line, har shlok ka meaning bhakti se shuru aur bhakti par hi khtm hai. 2. After read that book mujhe ye feel hone laga tha ki agar aap krishna ko apna jiwan samarpit nahi karte hain to aap galat raaste pe hain, mujhe aisa feel hota tha ki agar maine Tika nhi lagaya hua, mantra jaap nhi kiya, iskcon temple nhi visit kiya, book distribution nhi kiya and many more things related to iskcon nhi kiya to mai paapi hu. 3. Literally after read that book, mujhe apna ghar tyaag karne, iskcon join karne and sanyaasi banne tak ke thought aa rhe the, mujhe lagne laga tha ki agar mai iskcon ke saath nhi juda to zindagi barbaad ho jaegi. 4. I have Many more thing to say but I will strongly recommend ki jo students hain, jo abhi apna carrier banana chahte hain, life me kuch bada karna chahte hain, apna parents ko ek acchi life style dena chahte hain, please don't read iskcon bhagwad geeta book coz ye totally bhakti oriented brain washed book hai jiske liye sansaar ke kisi jimmedaari ki koi value nhi, kewal bhakti hi ek maarg hai sab kuch paane ka 5. My first experience of reading bhagwad geeta published by iskcon was very bad, if anyone wants to read then you can hear through any audio book or shailendra bhaarti available on youtube ( specifically for students who is currently building their carrier) 6. Mai hamesha sochta tha ki yrr bhagwad geeta padhne ke baad to logo ko taakat milti hai duniya me ek uttam aur sarwashrest vyaktitwa banane ki, ye kaisi book hai jo mujhe andar se weak bana rahi aur mujhe mere life ke aim se bhatka rahi hai. 7. Mujhe laga ki shayad maine isse galat smjh liya hoga but fir maine shailendra bhaarti ki audio suni then realise hua ki galat mai nhi ye book hai jo kewal bhakti oriented banai gai hai, isme karm ke bare me koi baat hi nhi, agar hai bhi to usse bhakti se jod diya gaya hai. 8. Hume bachpan se padhaya gaya, schools me dekha ki karm hi puja hai then why things started changing ? 9. Mai jitna sanatan dharm ko samjhta hu there is many way to praapt sidhhi A. By sanyaas B. By bhakti C. By karma D. By sankhya E. By sharir tyaag etc. & There is no any discrimation by god in any of the maarg, everyone will get the same result. Agar koi subah se shaam tak ke apne saare nirdhaarit karya puri nishta aur lagan se kar rha hai to wo bhi karm hi kar rha hai, you can't blame him to wake-up 4 o clock in the morning and do aarti, japa, book distribution etc...... Definitely he is surrendered to god and wo insaan hamesha ishwar ko sir jhukaega but krishna knows ki usne apni jimmedaria acche se nibhai hai 10. Jaisa ki maine pahle bhi bola ki mai koi hater nhi hu,mai bas wo baate bol rha jo maine feel kari iss book ko padhne ke baad, baaki mujhe koi kuch bhi bole, I will never recommend any student to read iskcon bhagwad geeta, from my pov it is totally bhakti oriented. I will recommend to read Bhagavad Gita by Swami mukudananda. Ye Google me free me available hai. Aap waha se bhi pad sakte ho. Me pura to nahi pada tha lekin jitna bhi pada tha aacha laga. Mene suna hai waha har cheez ko uske anusar likha gaya hai

Hare Krshna 🙏. HG Chaitanya Charan Prabhu ki jai. Prabhu has clearly described why Srimad Bhagvad Gita AS IT IS is the Best. I personally tried two versions and I even found the easiest and the lucid most is the one AS IT IS by HG Jagadguru Srila Prabhupada. HG Chaitanya Charan Prabhu has clearly defined the religion, dharma and spirituality, not only that he has clearly explained the state of consciousness level of different persons and how it is effecting us.

I would love to here prji more and more. By the way I got the opportunity to attend prji's two classes on the extension of Pancha tattva building in Iskcon Mayapur temple.

It is such a good podcast. Intellectual, prudent. Chaitanya Caran Prabhu explained everything so well. Dharma, religion, sattva,Rajasthan, Tamas guna, Nastik tamasik, nastik satvik. Hindu materialist turning to Christian/ Islamic materialist and vice versa. Brahmin priest and brahmin scholar. So enlightening. I will have to hear it couple of times to understand it properly.

Prabhuji u have to understand this....what prabhupada ji has done is he has translated the Bhagavad Gita according to his own sampradaya which is most problematic thing...as we all know that every sampradaya has its own way of interpreting the Bhagavad Gita...so how we can know this that ur Gita is the most authentic as we have translations which are more unbiased and even correct in many ways. There are many shlokas translation of your Bhagavad Gita which are totally wrong. For eg. Bg 4.24 and so on.... there are so many that I can't mention here all...one who compare Gita translations they can know.
So true. Instead of translating BG as it is, these people introduced excessively biased interpretation to promote their ways. Any translation of BG should be just that - a translation. The promotion of a sect should have been limited to commentaries. I often wonder if the ISKCONites don't believe in the ability of Krishna to guide a seeker through BG alone?! Because if they did believe in Krishna, they wouldn't have changed his words while translating. Alas!!

Mostly ISKCON followers abuse other Bhāshyakārās & claims only theirs is the true version. That's why the title too is "BhagavadGita - As it is". Latest example is, Amogh Lila Das who was banned for a month for abusing Ramakrishna Math. Other schools of thought respected each other despite disagreeing on few topics.

Gandhi, Swami Chinmayanand, Swami Mukundanand, Swami Ramsukhdas and H. Poddar of Gita press. Even Gita Press used to have 4-5 versions with commentaries of different authors. Along with that there is Dnyaneshwari, Ramanuja Commentary on Gita, Shankaracharya commentary on Gita even Ramkrishna mission as well as Brahmakumaris too have their own commentary of Bhagvad-Gita. The people who think that all Iskon belief and rituals and all wrong are actually “wrong” themselves for not being able to digest the facts of Sanatan Dharma and Bhagvad-GITA. Otherwise you wouldn't have concoction about Srila Prabhupada.

Things I noticed about iskcon bhagwad geeta! ( I'm not a hater and I'm not here to defame our sanatan dharma but jo maine notice kiya wo bata raha hu)
1. First of all I'm not defaming any one's thought and belief system but maine iskcon ki puri bhagwad geeta padhi hai aur ye puri ki puri bhakti oriented hai, iske har line, har shlok ka meaning bhakti se shuru aur bhakti par hi khtm hai.
2. After read that book mujhe ye feel hone laga tha ki agar aap krishna ko apna jiwan samarpit nahi karte hain to aap galat raaste pe hain, mujhe aisa feel hota tha ki agar maine Tika nhi lagaya hua, mantra jaap nhi kiya, iskcon temple nhi visit kiya, book distribution nhi kiya and many more things related to iskcon nhi kiya to mai paapi hu.
3. Literally after read that book, mujhe apna ghar tyaag karne, iskcon join karne and sanyaasi banne tak ke thought aa rhe the, mujhe lagne laga tha ki agar mai iskcon ke saath nhi juda to zindagi barbaad ho jaegi.
4. I have Many more thing to say but I will strongly recommend ki jo students hain, jo abhi apna carrier banana chahte hain, life me kuch bada karna chahte hain, apna parents ko ek acchi life style dena chahte hain, please don't read iskcon bhagwad geeta book coz ye totally bhakti oriented brain washed book hai jiske liye sansaar ke kisi jimmedaari ki koi value nhi, kewal bhakti hi ek maarg hai sab kuch paane ka
5. My first experience of reading bhagwad geeta published by iskcon was very bad, if anyone wants to read then you can hear through any audio book or shailendra bhaarti available on youtube ( specifically for students who is currently building their carrier)
6. Mai hamesha sochta tha ki yrr bhagwad geeta padhne ke baad to logo ko taakat milti hai duniya me ek uttam aur sarwashrest vyaktitwa banane ki, ye kaisi book hai jo mujhe andar se weak bana rahi aur mujhe mere life ke aim se bhatka rahi hai.
7. Mujhe laga ki shayad maine isse galat smjh liya hoga but fir maine shailendra bhaarti ki audio suni then realise hua ki galat mai nhi ye book hai jo kewal bhakti oriented banai gai hai, isme karm ke bare me koi baat hi nhi, agar hai bhi to usse bhakti se jod diya gaya hai.
8. Hume bachpan se padhaya gaya, schools me dekha ki karm hi puja hai then why things started changing ?
9. Mai jitna sanatan dharm ko samjhta hu there is many way to praapt sidhhi
A. By sanyaas
B. By bhakti
C. By karma
D. By sankhya
E. By sharir tyaag etc.
& There is no any discrimation by god in any of the maarg, everyone will get the same result. Agar koi subah se shaam tak ke apne saare nirdhaarit karya puri nishta aur lagan se kar rha hai to wo bhi karm hi kar rha hai, you can't blame him to wake-up 4 o clock in the morning and do aarti, japa, book distribution etc...... Definitely he is surrendered to god and wo insaan hamesha ishwar ko sir jhukaega but krishna knows ki usne apni jimmedaria acche se nibhai hai
10. Jaisa ki maine pahle bhi bola ki mai koi hater nhi hu,mai bas wo baate bol rha jo maine feel kari iss book ko padhne ke baad, baaki mujhe koi kuch bhi bole, I will never recommend any student to read iskcon bhagwad geeta, from my pov it is totally bhakti oriented. Jai shree ram 🙏

I will recommend to read Bhagavad Gita by Swami mukudananda. Ye Google me free me available hai. Aap waha se bhi pad sakte ho. Me pura to nahi pada tha lekin jitna bhi pada tha aacha laga. Mene suna hai waha har cheez ko uske anusar likha gaya hai

I personally tried two versions and I even found the easiest and the lucid most is the one AS IT IS by HG Jagadguru Srila Prabhupada. HG Chaitanya Charan Prabhu has clearly defined the religion, dharma and spirituality, not only that he has clearly explained the state of consciousness level of different persons and how it is effecting us.

It is such a good podcast. Intellectual, prudent. Chaitanya Caran Prabhu explained everything so well. Dharma, religion, sattva,Rajasthan, Tamas guna, Nastik tamasik, nastik satvik. Prabhuji u have to understand this....what prabhupada ji has done is he has translated the Bhagavad Gita according to his own sampradaya which is most problematic thing...as we all know that every sampradaya has its own way of interpreting the Bhagavad Gita...so how we can know this that ur Gita is the most authentic as we have translations which are more unbiased and even correct in many ways. There are many shlokas translation of your Bhagavad Gita which are totally wrong. For eg. Bg 4.24 and so on.... there are so many that I can't mention here all...one who compare Gita translations they can know.
So true. Instead of translating BG as it is, these people introduced excessively biased interpretation to promote their ways. Any translation of BG should be just that - a translation. The promotion of a sect should have been limited to commentaries.
I often wonder if the ISKCONites don't believe in the ability of Krishna to guide a seeker through BG alone?! Because if they did believe in Krishna, they wouldn't have changed his words while translating. Alas!!

Mostly ISKCON followers abuse other Bhāshyakārās & claims only theirs is the true version. That's why the title too is "BhagavadGita - As it is".
Latest example is, Amogh Lila Das who was banned for a month for abusing Ramakrishna Math.
Other schools of thought respected each other despite disagreeing on few topics.
Coz krishn wants us to b vegetarian if not vegan to save animsls also. But y ayurved slow to coz animal tested allopath?
