To me this was better than her Atlanta's Olympic performance. Everyway. She sounded better, the song was better, she looked better and the place and settings was made for her. Simple but grand 🗼
The performance was better because it was so emotional. I don’t know about sounding better because that was her vocal peak in the mid 90s. The songs are hard to compare because they’re totally different, and I love both. But this was definitely much more memorable because of the whole stories surrounding it, and she triumphed over adversity.
@@Rosannasfriend I have always loved her French language career way more than English. Even songs where she has both languages I prefer listening to the French version. More power, more emotions. And yes you are right this was way more emotional and it has a little impact.
YES SHE IS AN ANGEL ON EARTH FOR SURE .HER LIFE IS AN EXAMPLE OF GOODNESS , TALENT , AND WHAT ELSE. EVEN GOD IS PROUD OF HER. REMEMBER ALL THESES PEOPLE'S SUFFER A LOT THANK GOD FOR THAT PRESENT ❤😇
I can't wait for your video about the documentary 😍 And for now, an enormous "Thank you'" for this reaction ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏 I know you're an amazing guy, I just do. I wish you and your dear ones all the best 🫶🫶🫶
No, the song was written before Marcel Cerdan's death 😉 It was released after his death, but when she wrote it and recorded it he was still very much alive ^^ It was a beautiful love song but a bad omen 😉
that is exactely what I thought - I hope she didnt say goodbye to us - because in the song in the sky the onces that love each other will be together again
Joe - glad you went back to listen to the recap of the announcers. Kelly Clarkson’s reaction is all we need to know, when she said “I’m speechless”, then broke down in tears.

Your reaction is gold and oh so genuine! I felt the same way and I watched all of it! France and Celine gave us real brilliance! Only Celine can sing this! Grateful for her! 🙏🏻❤️💪🏻🤞🏻🇫🇷
I watch videos of vocal coaches or other singers analysing Céline Dion's performance of Edith pIaf's Hymne à l'amour, and it seems that the emotion is such that even if you're not French and don't understand the words, Céline's interpretation and the music create emotion beyond borders! Edith Piaf is one of the greatest French singers and from her birth to her death, this woman experienced a lot of suffering, so you really have to have in mind the translation of this song and Céline's modern interpretation to understand that the fusion of the two is perfect and that the emotion is at the Zenith! I'm wondering how non-native french people perceive french language. For me, as a french people, I perceive the american accent so beautiful and in the same time, I know that I never could speak as american people.
Internationally, there’s no one bigger than Celine Dion.
So true.
Perhaps the greatest musical performance I've ever seen.
How can one not cry for her. Such an amazing artist.
Celine's vibrato is at its best when she sings in French. I am glad the world had an opportunity to witness it.
God sent us an angel in our world , her name is Celine Dion .

It’s a love song..written by Edith Piaf after she lost her boyfriend….
I believe that Celine Dion sang this for the love of her beloved husband Rene.
The boy friend, Marcel Cerdan was a boxe champion and died in a plane crash
Last words : God gathers the lovers
