Im brazilian and rewatching these clips now suddendly made a lot of the jokes that couldnt be properly localized make much more sense. The dub wasnt bad and i must say they tried their best with a lot of jokes but obviously many puns and literal jokes got lost.

I will be forever grateful for childhood cartoons for developing my humor and to not take myself seriously. Literally now, as an adult, I decided to study and grow my career in culinary. I look back to Chowder with amusement, knowing they nurtured that pathway. Just glad I didn’t grow up to become Squidward, but instead Mung Daal. 😂
I know someone who translates for movie and songs, when it comes to jokes like "flower / flour" they're are a pain in the a**, and when he was working on translating "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs" he almost started crying.
I am mexican so I watched this show in spanish, so sadly not all the jokes made sense, BUT the dubbers did their best, Chowder si really loved in latin america 🧡

Translators' worst nightmares.
The mexican dub managed to adapt many of these although some were just kind of literal translations that managed to be pretty funny either way.
