    What are the dimensions of the block you start with? Western white pine is readily available here in Washington state. Is it suitable for carving decoys?

      The plan was part of an old "kit" that I was given, Working Plans for Working Decoys by Charles F. Murphy.

      @@hookedonquack I was just looking for a collection of them that covered most of the puddle duck

      @@NATTUD Murphy's set includes Canada goose, mallard, pintail, wood duck, scaup and canvasback, so only 3 puddlers. I believe you could find a used set on-line but it's not exactly what you're looking for.

    Amateur. Use a piece of form fitted tin for the side profile.
