I think you've done this before. You make things flow along nicely and you can speak without stumbling all over yourself. I find it difficult to talk on camera so I salute you sir.
Thank you so much for this video. My Honda Accord has just suffered the problem of the first clip breaking so I have just ordered the part, I’m sure if I took it back to Honda they would have charged a heap of money that I have now saved.
Thanks so much for this video. Helped a lot. The hardest thing is to find that pin blindly. Your pic of the latch was extremely helpful. One suggestion to anyone thinking of replacing the latch- buy it first and take a good look for that pin, That helped me locate it blindly with ease. Within 10 minutes I had the door open (once I did all the preliminary work of getting to the darn thing.)
No video of when you first noticed the mistake!!! Anyway, I hate when I make a mistake and don't notice it until several steps later. As always, an outstanding video!!!
I've done this many times without any camera. It's an easy fix. Put the plastic piece on first and add a tape to hold it still. Add the metal piece and stick it in. Once in then apply the plastic clip and feel where it can go
I should have mentioned it in the video but anytime a rear door will not open from the inside, be sure to check the child safety lock first and verify that it is not activated. Thank you for an excellent video. I've got a 2002 Accord with similar door panel, latch, and rod setup. My left rear door will open from inside, but not outside. When you pull the outside door handle up, there's no resistance. It moves freely and goes back into place, but doesn't release door. Any ideas what it might be?
In your video, you see a black piece of rubber or plastic over the area where the clip broke. It seems to be a cover over an access hole. Why didn't access the clip assembly through that? Or am I wrong about the access hole?
so if it will open from the inside, but not the out side would it likely be the clip at the handle instead of the clip at the latch?or a different problem all together?
Dave another very informative Honda video. Watching your videos gives me a good idea what's going to break and tools needed to fix the problem. Like the bore scope. Looks like it does the job for not a bad price. Will look into it. Coffee Time. Enjoy 👍👍👍

I missed this one. Made sure to turn on that bell . thought I had notifications turned on. Super common issue. Ive changed so many of those clips on different cars.👍
Yep, one little clip stops the door from opening! RUclips has definitely had issues with notifications recently, I know I have the notifications on for your channel!
Great Video.. Not sure how will you do this without scope. By any chance do u know what should be my PSI reading for AC compressor going bad, and what PSI value for stuck TXV valve open or closed stuck for low and high side. I think that will be great value add to your site and viewers like me... Thanks again.
Hello . I have a 2004 Honda Accord Ex. I changed the actuator on the rear right door. Now, I can't get the door open from the inside or outside. I was able to remove the door panel from the inside with the door closed. I am trying to figure out how to manually unlock the door from inside. Any suggestions? Thank you
My key quit unlocking the back and passenger doors now the windows roll down instead. I was fumbling with the driver's door controls the night before I've tried pushing the button next to the door lock button but can't seem to reset it. Suggestions?
good video..I may and will if necessary use either poster tack or some silicone to help hold the clip to the screwdriver tip to install. (if this is my issue) But.. mine was the broken chrome door handle inside the escutcheon- FRONT >> $4 and up on eBay COMPLETE.

good fix and instruction as usual!

Nice video. It looks like you must have done this before
Thanks Jim!
My God, well done, Maestro. How much a mechanic would charge you? My Accord 2010 same problem, same door, oh boy!
Really learned what I needed to do. Very helpful. Thank you very much for your video

My Honda dealer would have suggested replacing the whole door.
Or the entire car.......
lol
Cause they are either crooks or stupid.
Could you spell that camera you were using please where do you buy it. Thanks in advance. 😊

Hey buddy I Wanted to know do you have a video of how to replace the alternator in a 2012 Honda Accord V6 model?
No, I do not have one at this time.
@@BigDog50001 okie dokie thank you very much
Good job👍
Thanks!
Very good video
Thanks!
I really enjoying your videos thanks for your efforts.

What do you do when you have a door that’s closed and you can’t open it from the outside either?
right? how can you get the panel off if the child lock is on and it wont open from the outside?
Great video big dog
Thanks!

And this just shows the bore scope can be used for hundreds of things
how do you get a stuck door open in the first place?
If neither door handle works, it usually involves breaking things to get the door panel off.
What the name a clip
Good repair
Nice bore scope
What about when the door doesn't open from the inside or out, it is essentially locked from both sides? 😅
nice work
Thanks!
Mine will not open from inside or outside
It's a very hard ro reach area pissed me off alot of times
You forgot to plug the wire back in for the light at the bottom of the panel
Yep, and I edited out all the curse words too....
@@BigDog50001 lol
He already has door open, so this isn't helping!
You forgot to hook up the light
step one: start with the door already open :/
Yeah if can't get the door open from either inside or outside you are probably going to be breaking things to get in there. It is no fun.
Alright so what should I start breaking then because I have this exact problem
On the driver side door
@@SupmanerGamindid you figure it out? I’m having the same problem
Thank you so much for this video..
I will forever think different about fishing…! 🫡
