"Their Law" is as much Pop will eat itself as much as Prodigy they both collaborated to do it. I am glad they did it because it introduced me to electronic dance as another alternative.
I was at this GIG. It was recorded by instant live and I got the copy of the CD and DVD was mailed to you. But on the previous night Gig they were actually join by Liam Howlett to play this live. Such a great night about the 20th time I had seen them.
This is what set the Prodigy off on their rock sound and hence Firestarter etc. Both bands are awesome in different ways. I love the Prodigy rave stuff and PWEI in the early 80's is different. Both outstanding live.
Ну так-то - это другая команда - PWEI (Pop Will Eat Itself) - британские панки. Собственно, в кадре они и есть - авторы этого трека. 🙂 Пролежни делали с ними коллаборацию/кавер этой композиции.
The only PWEI show (about 1999) I saw live was one of the worst shows I've ever seen - they were awful. Then I saw the Birmingham 2005 show on youtube and it was awesome.
I went to one PWEI gig opening for EMF. They sucked ass and EMF blew them off the stage. The 2005 Birmingham concert is like a completely different band than I saw.
Wisky-A-GoGo. Hollywood, CA. The year evades me. Promoting Dos Dedos. Made my way to the VIP bar (6'4" Mexican has some advantages). Fucking best people ever! Clint spoke to me 1" from my face. Weird for me, but welcoming coming from a musical genius. Grahm asked me to hold his pint of stout for a minute, while I took the liberty of taking a dainty sip of a rock star's Guiness. I know...its gross, but what other fan wouldn't?
+Ricardo Bitterman Top day out... We had to come home early because of the Last bus to Burnley was 11 pm.. But they are putting 3am buses on now so it's much better when we're going to a gig in Manchester.
Hi guys, the prodigy website led me here cus Im a massive fan and I just picked up on your comments. I got out my biography, looked it up and clint does all the vocals. Great stuff!
On my Prodigy album its credited as Liam Howlett and P.W.E.I, thats definately Clint Mansells voice on the Prodigy version (unless someone has better information)
Jim Davies played guitar for a lot of the Prodigy songs. This was made when laws in England banned all night raves in fields hence "fuck em, and their law"
Shit! I still never believe that it is Clint Mansell on a stage and sing Their Law with Prodigy. Clint Mansell that famous composer who was write "Lux Auterna", Fountain OST , DOOM OST and Moon OST. I would never thought that he so much HARD))
tbanger you are incredibly incorrect! Clint Mansel recorded all the vocals on the song. He wrote the song and issued it out to Liam once he agreed to the approval of the complete prodcut. The result was rather good would'nt you agree. PWEI!
@mogpreacher well 'ant you heard they back in october with live dates, only Mr Crabb still in band, but good on him for keeping the good name of PWEI alive.
I'd seen the Poppies 3 times before at various festivals between 1991 and 1995, but this reunion in 2005 was their finest hour in my opinion. A short tour so they were full of energy and intensity, playing 'home' venues with a fervent crowd. One of the best gigs I ever went to. I saw them again a few of years ago on the Sleigh the UK tour with Jesus Jones and The Wonderstuff - the energy had gone, no Clint, poor setlist.. a shame.
I saw the poppies in the early 90s and the show was absolute garbage. Then I've seen this full 2005 show and I was so disappointed that I paid and didn't get this....
I went to this gig also. it was a great experience. I bought the video a couple of days later online. Watched it a few times then lent it to a mate and never got it back! gutted :0(
It *was* recorded - but wasn't on general release IIRC. A studio version made its way onto a freebie cassette (heh, remember them?) which was issued via a music mag. in the UK. Can't remember which one but I think I still have a copy of that tape *somewhere* in my house. At least I can't believe I'd have chucked it away - there was too much other good stuff on it as well.
Awesome. What top nights they were. These guys were SOOOOO underated. BTW tabanger, you have the lyrics slightly wrong under "info", it should be "Use your voice AND PLAY your choice"
On the vocal thing, doesn't Liam do the "I'm the law, you can't beat the law" bit on Jilted generation original, but it's definitely Clint doin the "Fuck 'em.." & "Crackdown..." bits. As yr said below, not a Prodge vs Poppies thing as both are awesome bands & any version of this tine is ace.
what?ahahahahahahahahahaha you are so funny, cause you know the voices on experience, jilted and even TFOTL are samples!and on AONO one or two songs that have voices, are samples. only at the invaders must die song, the part ''we are the prodigy'' it's liam. But to be honest,i don't really know if their law voice is a sample or his voices i don't want to argue, just sayin warrior Peace, ant
What's wrong with their take on it? Sound good to me. A little more personality and energy from Prodigy but still not a bad version. It's a nice compliment.
Appeal to the public. Not neweest news but...still.. fresh... Mine. ;) Great lyrics ! Made my day ;) Fuck me , fuck you - Freedom. Thanks ;) btw. Lithium in your style - please.
"Their Law" is as much Pop will eat itself as much as Prodigy they both collaborated to do it. I am glad they did it because it introduced me to electronic dance as another alternative.
It was Mansell's voice in TheProdigy version. So yes!
The guitar rift in there law is pure pwei and made the song but yeah turned me onto electro/dance as did other songs of there's
Fuzz bringing the beats...love that drummer✌
Rockin the double kick. Love it. Great drummer
I saw The Poppies on Jan 5 1996 in Toronto, best show Ive ever seen. Most underrated band of all time
I was at this GIG. It was recorded by instant live and I got the copy of the CD and DVD was mailed to you. But on the previous night Gig they were actually join by Liam Howlett to play this live. Such a great night about the 20th time I had seen them.
Do you kinow what? I loved them at the time and they were so underrated it was criminal.. Still sounds fresh today.
and still today. going back in the car CD tomorrow.
Instablaster.
I still love them today. PWEI, Prodigy and NIN
Play it Loud, Play it Proud!!
New music please!!!
This is what set the Prodigy off on their rock sound and hence Firestarter etc. Both bands are awesome in different ways. I love the Prodigy rave stuff and PWEI in the early 80's is different. Both outstanding live.
David Williams yes definitely
early 80's?
@@jackjude I think he meant early 90s, or late 80s
Everyone calm down. Let's just say this is PWEI's version and that it rocks. Sound good?
I didn't even tho this existed. And, yes! 🤟🕺💃♥️
It's PWEI
Energy.
I was there it was freaking ace. We're only here because the drummers skint. Greatest band ever
He isn't now......Car SOS all the way for Fuzz
Nice to hear this version. Always wondered what it sounded like.
Original version
How good is this man. End of 2023!
Clint was on TOP form that night! Been to loads of poppies gigs before, but this was the best.

THE POPPIES ARE CRSP 😉
I have a fuzz box and i am going to use it
Sweet! I love me some PWEI...best version of this song by far, thanks for putting this up man.
Have all their albums & eps. Still bump them occasionally. Thank you John Bennett for lending me their Tbis Is The Day CD.
saw them at Manchester indie all dayer at Manchester Academy on Saturday 23rd of may.... Best band there.......Clint was there too.....
+Dan Pearce I was there too. Gang of Four were kick-ass but PWEI stole the show.
+Ricardo Bitterman Top day out... We had to come home early because of the Last bus to Burnley was 11 pm.. But they are putting 3am buses on now so it's much better when we're going to a gig in Manchester.
Yeah same my train back to Birmingham was at 10pm so I couldn't see Echo and the Bunnymen.
Hi guys, the prodigy website led me here cus Im a massive fan and I just picked up on your comments. I got out my biography, looked it up and clint does all the vocals. Great stuff!
Both versions are awesome!
It was a collaboration, and both bands began playing it live (with their respective flourishes) at their 1996 shows.
Wow - I would have loved to see that! Fuck their law!!!
Except PWEI were playing it 94
And their sound was it in 89
Ddddddope
Man i miss these guys so much great band to see live.
PWEI 4 EVER!
Turn it on,and turn it up higher.only for your own enjoyment
Love PWEI. Great Live band.
Pure brilliance
pwei's version rocks
On my Prodigy album its credited as Liam Howlett and P.W.E.I, thats definately Clint Mansells voice on the Prodigy version (unless someone has better information)
I always find my way back to this video xD
I love to listen this when driving icerally🤟
Still love this ❤️
Best. Band. Ever.
Jim Davies played guitar for a lot of the Prodigy songs. This was made when laws in England banned all night raves in fields hence "fuck em, and their law"
Foxtrot Hotel True. The Criminal Justice Bill if I remember correctly
Shit! I still never believe that it is Clint Mansell on a stage and sing Their Law with Prodigy. Clint Mansell that famous composer who was write "Lux Auterna", Fountain OST , DOOM OST and Moon OST. I would never thought that he so much HARD))
And now lives in Hollywood writing how many songs for massive movies?
Didn’t realise that was him! Was Clint Boon an alias? Or have i got 90s amnesia
Clint Boon was in the Inspiral Carpets.
Poppies say Grrrrr
Excellent !
brilliant band, doing a great song....thanks for sharing
Turn it on and turn it up high
Like a ten ton truck.....
tbanger you are incredibly incorrect! Clint Mansel recorded all the vocals on the song. He wrote the song and issued it out to Liam once he agreed to the approval of the complete prodcut. The result was rather good would'nt you agree. PWEI!
P.W.E.I. = faaaaaaa in AWESOME
they most certainly did play this at Beautiful Days 2011!
@mogpreacher well 'ant you heard they back in october with live dates, only Mr Crabb still in band, but good on him for keeping the good name of PWEI alive.
Right now, still as relevant as ever.
Go fuzz . Two amazing talents
I was at this gig, absolutely fantastic.
terrific song

Timeless instructional banger³
I went to this gig also. it was a great experience. I bought the video a couple of days later online. Watched it a few times then lent it to a mate and never got it back! gutted :0(
The full video of the gig is now on you tube ruclips.net/video/cBZUPFd37aQ/видео.html
Top track by both Prodigy and PWEI. I wonder what Graham Crabbe is doing today? 😉
Saw them last night in liverpool- AMAZING!
Still kicking ass!
Why did I miss this gig??? Looks mental, like every Poppies gig ever :-)
I was there!! It was fucking loud
Yes! I was there this night. Would love to see a whole video of this gig. The last time the proper PWEI was together...
I was too, here's the video to the whole gig ruclips.net/video/cBZUPFd37aQ/видео.html
Ha did not know this video existed I was at this gig :)
Amazing!!!
Mr CarSoSige on the skins! fuzzbottom Townshend!
It *was* recorded - but wasn't on general release IIRC. A studio version made its way onto a freebie cassette (heh, remember them?) which was issued via a music mag. in the UK. @TheJimbode Yes they did Last song of the set
Where has the sound gone from this video?
@chapleeds Yeah it is absolutely definitely Clint's voice, any in doubt would just have to go and listen properly.
Awesome. Any more live PWEI stuff? I was at the Sheps Bush reunion gig. Fuck nostalgia. They still kick ass.
FUZZ! LEDGEND! GOOD WITH STICKS AND SPANNERS!
Car SOS brought me here
Sound
I would pay for someone to PLEASE take the vocals from this video and mix them in with the original track! 🙏
Check out Fuzz rockin the doble kick
Fu**ing A =) PWEI ftw!
that was fucking amazing
Liam Howlett is an epic talent. I don't undertsnad why Keith and co get any credit for what the Prodigy do.
I had no idea novice that I am that pwei had anything to do with this track what the hell
Awesome. What top nights they were. These guys were SOOOOO underated.
BTW tabanger, you have the lyrics slightly wrong under "info", it should be "Use your voice AND PLAY your choice"
They didn't do this at Beautiful Days this year
Is that Fuzz on drums?
Yup
YES
@@whom382 Fuzz
well they wrote it for the prodigy
I don't think so, probably the vocals, not the music.
@@cirodidato8328 It was a collab, liam on electronics, pwei guitars etc and clint on vocals.
Не гони дура
Are you talking about the Vox Magazine "Class of '94" cassette? If so, that contains the same Prodigy album version, not a PWEI-recorded version.
I love car sos
нет! точно! копии нет! они легенда!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent interpretation. The Prodigy are the real geniuses
Except these written this for the Prodigy - Clint even performed this with The Prodigy while touring the Jilted Generation album...
it was recorded as a collab, liam on electronics pwei guys on other instruments.
Have you got any more from this gig?
When I hear this I think of judge dredd
you mean facist bastaed dread . thought that when i started 2000ad when i was 13 . fukin hated him then too........
Was there ever a studio version recorded WITH lyrics?
what?ahahahahahahahahahaha you are so funny, cause you know the voices on experience, jilted and even TFOTL are samples!and on AONO one or two songs that have voices, are samples.
only at the invaders must die song, the part ''we are the prodigy'' it's liam. But to be honest,i don't really know if their law voice is a sample or his voices
i don't want to argue,just sayin warrior
Peace, ant
Love It Love it Love
The Poppies r Crap!
Can't have Pwei without Clint... It all seems dirty and wrong now
I totally agree
Andrew Clowes At least he's doing kickass soundtracks for movies now
Yeah, I've tried getting into the new PWEI stuff, but it just isn't the same without Clint...
Camp Survivor Agreed. Not even sure I agree with Graham Crabb using the name.
They basically made it
Whats the story did the prodegy copy this? I always thought that these guys just did the guitar for the prodegy????
Tuff toon
Is this at Birmingham acadamy?
Yep back in 2005
Fucking worldlaw
Fantastic tune.shame record company made generic hip hop video.
no pwei wrote the song for the prodigy
What's wrong with their take on it? Sound good to me. A little more personality and energy from Prodigy but still not a bad version. It's a nice compliment.
Rogers Photography Compliment? They wrote most of it.
Yeah, the original song is a prodigy and PWEI collaboration
'Their take on it'? Hardly 😂
There would _be_ no Prodigy 'Their Law' without the Poppies lol
It used to be really cool a rebellious band shouting “ fuck em and their law “ now a load of middle aged men doing the same is not the same lol
This is a really good performance of tune, works for me.
Appeal to the public. Not neweest news but...still.. fresh... Mine. ;) Great lyrics ! Made my day ;) Fuck me , fuck you - Freedom. Thanks ;) btw. Lithium in your style - please.
this is grayt song!!!
..oi
Вяло .Оригинал лучше ,
The new conservative party anthem
This is the Antifa anthem!
think Clint became too Liberal
why even mention prodigy, they suck!
The poppies are crap
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
