  • A trail for the DVD documenting the journey which led to the construction of Clifton Cathedral, Bristol, UK in 1973. In picture, sound and word it explores the people who made it, why it happened at all and what it means. Much more than a dry architectural exploration: a journey of visionaries and truth seekers whose vision is validated right now with attendances numbering one of the highest in the country week by week.
Sections are to be added which will include a former music director who sang at Sinatra's funeral and the sculptor of the font who worked on the 9/11 memorial in New York. In this trail you can see William Mitchell, who has more listed public works of art in the UK than any person living or dead. The story of the builders and the people who assemble there is told too. Open minds and hearts ready for exploration and still journeying...
Maybe now is the time for Brutalist Architecture to start being examined and understood?
