I don't know what is more impressive, the cycling or the filming (or the editing). The number of shots you captured and the quality of the audio and filming in 4k. All them batteries you need to constantly change and charge. All the times when you're tired and hungry and still remember to throw a camera in front of someone's face to capture the important moments. The unimaginable amount of clips to sort out before the editing process begins. And then the countless hours in front of a screen to turn chaos into creative order. I don't think there is anyone else on YT who can do this level of riding, filming, & editing. Kudos
Incroyable. Riding the event is impressive enough. To also film and create such a beautiful cinematic journey is just stunning. Truly inspiring and a poem to the human spirit of adventure.
Awesome! Really enjoyed that. I loved Fernwee's & Chris Halls Pilgrimmage last year. This event inspires me, but, having done a Pyrenees week long gravel trip it also terrfifies me as i know how tough that week was at my own pace and only 10,600m over 7 days, and this is another level.
I am in awe with your ability to produce those videos. I know this area very well ; it is very close to where I grew up and your rendering is more beautiful than the dreams I have of the place; thank you! Also got a chuckle when I saw you gulping down the Génépi :). Cheers!
I'm glad the YT algorythm suggested your channel to me. Great content The videos are edited sowell! You can tell how much work has been put in. Earned yourself a new subscriber :)
Josh! Great movie. Loved it. What gears have you got for uphill? And what were the others riding? Everyone seems obsessed with the downhill big stuff but I'm close to buying a Revolt myself and am worried that the smallest gear ratio is actually not small enough for me.
On the iPhone I tend to try and film when there is shelter from the wind and my hand protects the mics a little. But nothing in particular. I use a shot gun mic on the canon.

Thats very kind. I feel like I’ve learnt a lot since my first videos and pretty pleased with the level I’ve got to.
I think this is the best video I've watched all year. Thanks Josh. You capture the essence of why we love doing these events.

Amazing Josh...❤
What and how many cameras do you use for these superb footages?
I use a canon r6 mark ii, iPhone 15 pro max, DJI action 4 and a DJI mini 3 pro drone. So 4.
Great film mate, do you have anything to minimise wind noise when filming on your iPhone?
On the iPhone I tend to try and film when there is shelter from the wind and my hand protects the mics a little. But nothing in particular. I use a shot gun mic on the canon.
Cool vid! Anyone know the brand of the caps with a fish on? Tia
Café du Cycliste
Hardly bags on the bikes ,some even have none and sleeping indoors...this is bike touring and definitely not " bikepacking" lol
Bikepacking encompasses many different levels of kit carried and I have enjoyed packing very little and also a fully loaded setup
