- A review of Anemoiapolis, a new liminal space horror game by Andrew Quist, taking insiprations from traditional liminal space images and, of course, the Backrooms and Backrooms related lore!
CORRECTION: The Confrence Room location, (the one entered for free,) and the final, unnamed area, (sometimes referred to as the Backrooms,) are not procedurally generated locations as I assumed. Apologies for the confusion. Things certainly blend together down there...

I hope you enjoy the video and maybe give this game a try!
Also, I'm planning to do some Anemoiopolis speedrunning this Friday or Saturday conditions permitting! That will be happening over on my other channel, Everberon Games if anyone's interested! Come hang out and learn some of the emerging strats in the Anemoiopolis speedrunning scene!
So how about that lore video on this game 0.0
As a fan of weird horror and lore deep cuts, I *need* a lore video for this!
You got it, i'd love to make one!
Ah I loved this game as well! Great video!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
This is so cool omg
Very neat game! Here's hoping this video gets more eyes on it.
Play LSD dream emulator for ps1 that is the liminal god! You can get it in a ps1 emulator
I love that game so much. It's fun to boot up and just walk around
On ps4?
I believe it's only for windows at this time unfortunately.
As someone who Loves liminal spaces, as in, finds comfort in them rather than horror, this game feels like finding a diamond in the rough.
I don’t understand the fascination with connecting liminal spaces with horror or being obsessed with including monsters that chase you. Perhaps it’s because for me, my dreams look like liminal spaces, and whenever I see abandoned buildings or large empty places with things in them I feel a happy urge to explore. I was disappointed there is at least one example of an entity because I yearn for a game where you can just explore, because it would be so refreshing to see these spaces explored in a positive rather than negative or eerie light. Would that I could design a game myself, this one seems the closest to my desire for exploring empty pools and malls without a dumb monster.
I completely agree. This game is a really comfortable and chill experience I found. Great for some fun speedrunning too!
