From the guys behind Tag Across London, Bingo Across Amsterdam sees the team playing a Jet Lag-inspired game across the European and Dutch city of Amsterdam where a Bingo Lockout board has been created from the transit map. We travel on trams and metro trains, and buses to get to each square and complete challenges to claim them. This took a long time to make, we hope you enjoy it!
Starring Mads and Larry in Team Tulip versus Luke, Rowan and Jamie in Team Redlight
Editing, production, modified map design, motion graphics, some sound effects, some music, and subtitles by Larry
Preliminary edit by Jade
Filmed on 2x GoPro Hero 8 Blacks on 25 May 2023

Why did you play it in Amsterdam?
I very much disagree with the octopus being valid as something Nintendo related! Also, the tulips weren't real!
When the world needed them most, they were SO BACK!
There was only one incident of a catchphrase: 20:02 when Larry says “non zero chance.” Yes, I listened for them.
My take on the “controversies”: The tulips were real, just not living. They weren’t stylized, so I would give them benefit of the doubt. (Would a selfie of Team Tulip have counted?)
If the challenge does not explicitly say that the cheese must be purchased inside the square, buying it elsewhere and eating it inside the square would not be cheating. If the rules don’t say you can’t, you can.
The octopus looked enough like the squid ink guy from Mario Kart that I would have accepted it. Blooper?
Some suggestions for future games if you choose to play them:
1. Have a price cap on “buy item” challenges, say 10 euro for example, otherwise just filming the item is enough.
2. Some kind of challenge arbitration process, even if it’s just the other team saying yes/no.
I am so grateful for all the time, money, and effort you all put into these games for our entertainment! Thank you so much. If you haven’t already done it, the (however many) lines of London would be a perfect fit for this troupe.
Thank you again for the wonderful entertainment, ya’ll are awesome!
Are you going to play in New York City?
Why did team Redlight consist of 3 members while team Tulip was only 2? The forfeit at the end broke me, too. Team Tulip deserves better, man. :(
I am starved for Jet Lag related content, so I appreciate this (too much of the other stuff relies on reality TV drama).
Glad you appreciate it!
Haha, same here! When I found Jet-lag I binged everything in a couple of weeks, now in limbo waiting for the next season. This was a very nice surprise
As someone who lives in Amsterdam, I have never seen a squirrel in Vondelpark nor have I heard of Leidse Kaas! Good effort though haha
Yeah, exactly about the cheese. They may even make cheese there, but almost everything is sold as Goudse/Gouda, because to be Gouda, it doesn't need to be made there, it just used to have to be sold at the cheese market there.
@@bruhgamingnl1315 Leidse kaas is pretty well known amongst cheese lovers. It has cumin in it and the term is generally used for any cheese with cumin. If they had asked for "komijnekaas", they would have probably gotten it.
There's literally no squirrels in Vondelpark, they all died to some virus years ago
@@Mark-ph7cy I have never even seen a squirrel anywhere except for big forests. Bilthoven, Centre Parks...
Apparently there was a very small number of squirrels in the Vondelpark up till the 90's, but they died out probably because of inbreeding and that nasty squirrel virus. Nowadays the population in Amsterdam is estimated at 200-400 squirrels, mainly in the Amsterdamse Bos and some parks in the south-west part of the city.
I also never heard of the term "Leidse kaas" for komijnekaas (cumin cheese).
Leidsekaas: you probably would have gotten it if you had asked for "komijnekaas". That particular cheese stand employs some people who don't know anything about cheese.
I think they know by now considering the zoom in on the Leidse kaas they did in editing. Gotta love the other team searching in the foreign cheese sections through.
The fake tulips and the "something Nintendo" related both kinda ruined the game for me. I know it's just for fun, but what's the point in playing if you stretch or flat out ignore the rules. This is NOT a win for Team Red Light.
Yup, I agree. They should have verified completion of tasks with the other team or get better descriptions of the rules. Mistakes are to be learned from!
24:07 watching them find out it’s literally just ‘the pipe’ is hilarious 💀💀💀
always fun to see jet lag inspired games, me and my brother are planning to do one on the london underground, a bit small compared to your scale and theirs where we race to 10 randomly selected stations with a roughly equal total journey time
Ooh nice! Hope that goes well with your brother :)
Lets go! another of these videos
wow that 49 minutes went by quickly 😂 such a fun and exciting video to watch, can't wait for the next game
Really glad you enjoyed it so much! :D Thanks for your comment
Awesome Content it‘s definitely a must to watch this Episode of Jet lag inspired Game.
Hope this typ of Content never dies on your Channel.
3:35 NJB intro moment
If you'd do this on bikes, you could win the game in half an hour.
You might be onto something there
Glad you guys are back - love the idea and content. Did you think about having the possibility to challenge a square if you had neighbouring squares? Look forward go seeing what you do next!
Good idea! And glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
I very much enjoyed this. For future games. You could have implemented a steal a square, just like in the real jetlag. Maybe another way to interfere with the other team. The 5 min penalty sounds kinda lame and is entirely based on luck.
If you ever do in Netherlands again , I would recommend Rotterdam. Also have a lot of tran/metro. Or maybe Brussels in Belgium.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Yeah, we definitely agreed that the catchup mechanic needed a lot more work.
And thanks for the city suggestions!
The challenge: "Take a photo of REAL tulips"
Them: immediately take a photo of fake tulips
The squid thing wasn't even obvious to the team itself, let alone to an audience. What's the point of playing if one team will blatantly cheat?
It was extremely disappointing finding out how the other team played through editing this :[ -Larry
Work of art
Ey nice this was cool
Spoilers below:
Yeah next time should definitely have the teams verify the challenges with the other team
38:57 Hey Vsauce, Michael here, I'm eating pizza, or am I?
Most squirrels have died out due to a virus. I’ve actually never even seen a squirrel in my life. Agh you guys could’ve gotten those squares if only it was better researched 😂
Yeah! Many squares challenges would have been better had we been able to find all this out at the time
next time lads, when travelling in the dutch public transport, use your debit or credit card when opening the gate. Similar to flashing you card or oyster card at the London subway. It even works with your phone
its probably cheaper for them to buy a 24 hour public transit card since they use public transit so much
commenting because I appreciate the captions
Thanks. Really glad :)
They are, SO BACK!
3:32 *This isn’t the first time…*
Wrong youtubers.
@@jkhoover No I said it because it’s based off Jet Lag: The Game and in that Sam usually says they are so back so it’s like Jet Lag
@GC687_Official Correct. They would be the right RUclipsrs.
This is such a fantastically well made video I love it
Thanks so much!
And of course team red light goes to the red light district 😂
I'm really curious about how you decided on the challenges! I wouldn't have guessed to put "pee in a krul" or "buy chicken at Coop" from someone who doesn't know the city.
Maybe next time you could ask a local if the tasks ate actually doable, e.g. the squirrel task was literally impossible as there are no squirrels in Vondelpark. (Well, maybe you could buy a stuffed squirrel, bring it to the park and film it, would that count?)
Fyi, "Coop" comes from the word "co-operation" and has nothing to do with chicken coops.
Basically it was hard coming up with ideas, so I looked at the local areas and tried to come up with ideas based on things I found online! But yes, it's very hard to know if every challenge is doable without finding out, but extra precautions can be taken in future.
That's funny, we have shops named "co-op" in England, from the same meaning, and we assumed it probably was from another meaning in Dutch. None of us wanted to sound like silly English speakers so we were just wrong instead lol. -Larry
the octopus and tulips cannot count lol ik thos was last year but we need new referrees
It's back!!
I think I saw myself in the video lol
Gotta be honest the self-governing of completion of tasks kinda ruined the fun of this. It annoys me that Team Redlight didn’t take a picture of real tulips, despite the task description expressly saying to take a picture of “real” tulips. And that they technically didn’t take a picture of the Amsterdam flag except what looks to be the coast of arms…Which like sure, the flag is the coat of arms but it’s not the same… I demand a rematch!
I did notice the Power of the Pigeon is still following Mads into Amsterdam….19:30
Awesome content to watch while waiting for Season 12 of Jet Lag
HELL YES
That was SO GOOD
Glad you enjoyed it!
As soon as they said take a picture of a squirrel in Vondelpark 😬
My reaction too... Wish I'd stuck with my gut feeling of that being a bad idea! -Larry
I’m sorry, is Mads wearing Loona from helluva boss merch?? 33:12
yes
@ he has good taste!
WE'RE SO BACK
We're not back.
@@jkhoover why are you hating so hard
@@thetrueglasses Wrong RUclipsrs.
@@jkhoover jet lag does not have a monopoly over the phrase "we're so back" get over yourself
@@thetrueglasses I'm having fun. You need to take your own advice before giving it out.
Hm... How much the counter would go up if you had a "Butchered Dutch Pronounciation". Does it reach triple digits?
Also, we get the Uncle Roger Challenge in Sloterdijk :D
As a Dutchman, yes
I want to see what Mads wrote for A5 XD
26:00
that's not even a name that's one of the four cardinal directions (south)😭😂
edit. WAIT THATS A PLACE??? WHO NAMES A PLACE "SOUTH" LMAO
oh wait amsterdam zuid
I've never seen amsterdam zuid being reffered to as just zuid
Well, the Railkaart we used named it just Zuid!
@MadsLarry oh yeah definitely it's just wild to me that it's the first time I've seen it referred to as just zuid lol
(Having said that it's actually wild to me that this doesn't have more views)
Maybe you are too, but I'm from Amsterdam & I've always heard people refer to (amsterdam) noord, oost, zuid, west as just that!
20 minutes in and one team already not shown good faith to the rules twice to get their squares, not going to recommend video.
Mispronunciations of all the places is to be expected and forgiven, but the map has a weirdly high amount of misspellings?
Ah apologies, I rewrote them all and must've messed up a few -Larry
Nice, loona shirt, hot
Only TWENTY NINE SECONDS IN and they already mispronounced something LMFAOOOO
Genuinely curious, did I mispronounce Leidseplein in voiceover? I was following Google Translate's Dutch, but my bad if I still messed it up -Larry
@@MadsLarry Oh, yes. You did, it was actually pretty close, but the "ei" sound was pronounced a bit incorrectly. The ei sound sounded a bit like the ay as in lay, but should have been pronounced a bit more like an I. It was still understandable though, but it does sound a bit weird. I really appreciate you for trying on every single Dutch word, which is more than I could have hoped for.
@@bruhgamingnl1315 Thanks for clearing that up! Dutch phonetics fascinate me. And I'm glad to hear that my attempts were still appreciated, haha. -Larry
is 'WE ARE SO BACK!' copywrited by wendover?
It was slang far before he appropriated it
bs giving up like that. disappointed i wasted my time watching this.
we struck youtube gold lads🫡🚀
