Best gift I ever brought myself...I have so many family photos that belong to mother and grandmothers (both deceased) in old photo albums now I can save these memories and the writing on the back...JUST PRICELESS... best price too I caught mines on Amazon refurbished for $400.00 crazy thing is that the scanner is brand new. I just love it! I think the only thing I would have like if it had an option to save the photos directly to a Flash Drive.
What carrier sheet should I purchase? Do you recommend for every photo or is this the exception to the rule? In general can I just pop in photos out of all those cardboard boxes?

Hi, Judy! Yes, the carrier sheet is included - you can see what else comes in the box here: epson.com/For-Home/Scanners/Photo-Scanners/FastFoto-FF-680W-Wireless-High-speed-Photo-Scanning-System/p/B11B237201
i love to get one of these for my photo business would be a great option for my customers i always get asked if i scan old photos but it would take to long in my flatbed but never knew about this too recently might have to get this then the add it to my website as a option i know my Epson V550 works awesome for my film scanning must have scanned a few thousand now for my customers a few of them bought the same scanner after i showed them how it worked
Scanner no longer allows me to scan with the carrier sheet - registers as a jam/too many photos every single time, even if the sleeve is empty. Same issue when scanning documents - but with scansmart there is the ability to ignore the jam error. There is no such override with fastfoto. Has anyone experienced the same and can recommend a fix? Seems to have happened with a software update a while back. Have previously scanned hundreds of photos and documents with the carrier sheet with no issue.
Good Morning! The scanner may have a build-up of dust particles inside. Thanks, you mean the V800 or V700 would do a better scan? I hope you folks make a feeder for the V700 or V800 so we can stack a bunch of prints and scan them. That's why I was looking at the Fastfoto.
@@epsonamerica No, it jams on polaroid photos. It was advertised to scan polaroids which is one reason I purchased. However, now that I'm trying to use it I'm finding it jams on every polaroid I try. Disappointed. ☹

I've added a photo of a photo printed by the printer to show the quality. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx-p39-0aeo2zzlTJzXhwlZ_zUNm1lnIci Many reviews complain about the heavy yellow tone of printed photos; avoid this by editing your photos towards the blue end of the temperature spectrum. I also suggest increasing the exposure a little when editing because photos will print a little dark if you do not.If you follow these steps to edit your photos prior to printing, your photos will look too bright and too blue on your phone but they will print perfectly.Highly recommend!

How can I start the scan number at a number other then 0001. I thought I finished the 1995 photos, then found another batch. I want to continue sending the photos to the 1995 folder, but start the scan number at the next higher number. Can I do that?

How do you clean the interior scanner to remove dust?
There’s a lever on the machine itself to pop it open, clear any jams, clean the rollers/glass etc
Ah... So I can't scan my Kodak EK6 instant photo's on this scanner. Got it :(
