it pains me that you don't get more views! I've asked my Shihan about AIKIDO and we have even had guest trainers attend before so I'll be paying attention to your videos since it will be at least in part used in my training.
You make an excellent point about the importance of Uke protecting themselves during a throw. It's so easy to get caught up in what you 'expect' to happen with the technique that you just assume it's all going to happen a certain way.
Lenny, another great video. Great commentary regarding the fact that this technique can be done hard or soft, encourages students to go slow to learn the timing and the flow. Impressive technique, one that people that don't understand the art would think is fake considering how light and soft the connection is. You've got a soft side Lenny! Keep it up, your doing great stuff.
The commentary and description is on point along with the technique of course. People are disputing the punch coming in, when it’s about the defense coming back. If it’s a boxing type of movement the defense will be accordingly in its difference.
Roadhouse 2 I'm working on it Lenny takes time you're finally on the radar screen of Hollywood today is April 19th 2022 I know those videos a few years old just my way to let you know what's going on keep up the good work
What do you mean finally on the radar screen of Hollywood? Yeah those videos are a few years old. I will be returning with new content soon. Already in the works.
@@SLYSCOMBATIVECONCEPTS13 hey Lenny Craig Bolton I don't know if you got the other thing I sent you but I'll keep this one short the nut and bolts of it is I was asking you to produce a video for young kids that are getting bullied and for older people who don't have the dexterity that you do or they can be throwing people around if he can come up with a video that's real simple that they can walk away with something right away to defend themselves or doesn't take a lot of memorization because a lot of your moves you do if you don't have anybody to work out with are pretty rough to remember so they can come up with the kiss principle keep it simple stupid and I'm not calling you stupid it'd be greatly appreciated I'm sure and sometimes simple can be very effective thanks a lot look forward to this video if possible
like what your doing its refreshing to see. I started aikido in 97' then started crosstraining In FMA and iron hand in 04'... I started incorporating the footwork and hubud drills (for entrys) along with the fma boxing into aikido very similar to the your style, tightening everything up... caught alot of crap for it even from my instructor :D but it works. even use judo groundwork for when things go there.
Great Fundamentals here with Ukemi aspects, I also really stress the ability to be able to turn on a dime, "Overall Agility" is needed to take this Ukemi at any level, I drill my students for months on in until they really can do it in their Kata forms, forward, backward, combinations, and Tsutemi or hard falls with safe turnabouts and stability and balance with each landing, whether from Suwari, Tachi or leaping Ukemi, then a real high pressure 3 man push and pull for a min of 2 min, that's for every division first ranking, for our children's classes that's their first two Rankings, after that then their Nage can feel free to work on that progression to 100% application of techniques
Sensei! (I wonder, is there a formal term for an online instructor? e-sensei? Prolly not!) Thanks, man! I feel like when I hear a request I call in on the radio! Makes me feel special.
Gabriel Mann no problem. Tenshin was the name of Steven Seagals dojo in Japan I think and became the name of the style of aikido he taught and which the Sensi is teaching here
You make it look easy, yet it's truly very technical.
Another well done demonstration..
Awesome application of kokyunage! Thank you, sensei!

Such good explanation of the techniques ... wonderful teacher
Love that kokyunage! O-Sensei was always demonstrating it, even way back when he was in his fifties before the war.
instablaster.

Stupid question: doesn't this throw require that the opponent stiffens his arm?
very fluid
can you show it from chudan tsuki please, sensi?
Awesome, thanks

I think I would show up for a live demonstration if you promised not to beat the crap out of me....😐
if there was one guy I'd chose to beat me up, it might very well be him!
premier69..Negative... I'd like the use of my arms and legs down the road.
Whys he punching with the fist perpendicular to where a punch would normally be?
why does the video description say how to do aikido but when the video description is there it says tenshin aikido
