Can you upload a ranch rail class (called ranch pleasure in some associations) and critique it? Share what the judges are looking for and what you liked and/or could improve on.

Great recommendation. We'll definitely keep that in mind going into the next show. Thanks for watching!

Yeah! I agree this would be so helpful to hear a judges perspective on a ranch pleasure class. Sometimes I think I had a real good ride & I don’t even place. Other times I think my former western pleasure horse is moving too slow & too low and we do well - I’m baffled. There must be some standards the judges are supposed to follow for judging? Would be great to learn what they are.

Thanks for these great tips, I do dribble sometimes and I also don’t give a strong extended lope on corners, ranch riding is more challenging than one might expect but super fun!

Hi, I love your video's, they help me a lot! I was wondering if you could do a video behind teaching the horse to keep collected for transitions and really getting the smoothness like you had at 6:00 or 8:57? Particularly walk - lope if possible as

Hi Zach! this year our mare is gonna be pregnant (we hope!!) so we are not gonna do any reining pattern but really only concentrate on Ranche Riding and Ranch Trail. Do we need to put plate on her? do you plate your horse that only do Ranch? Thank you!

You don't need to, especially if you're just starting out. At a high level, then yes, we'd recommend it, but don't spend the money if you don't need to!

I'm wondering is this just a trail riding horse I didn't see the horse working cows or do any competition work not trying to be rude, just trying to find out I've got enough wore out cowboy horses for kid horses I've got people looking for cutting horses people looking for horses that will work a cow or reining horses! That is all I saw in the video
