They're not impossible to catch here in water 58 and below, but the number of blowups goes way down. Subsurface options are better. Thanks for the feedback, though! Always love to hear about topwater trout anywhere on the continent
Enjoyed the video! Heads-up: Tried to use the shorturl links (above) and they seem to be broken. I bought a bunch of (50 3/8 & 25 1/4) deathgrips because of your advocacy and their sponsorship. Tight lines and keep em coming!
Also, any theories on why the 'june bug' color? I would typically pick something more like the color of your grub in this video. Just curious... In the summer for reds, I typically like the gold spoon for reds (sometimes tipped with gulp swimming mullet), but it's not working this winter (my first fishing winter ever in La despite growing up here!). Thanks to your (& Chas') channel.
Thanks for the heads-up on the links. Those particular ones keep breaking. I'll have to use direct links. No theory at all on junebug. It doesn't make sense; I just know it works. I also fish a black light Zoom Z-Craw in that color/clarity of water, and the fish destroy it. Stupid, I know.
It’s been a minute since I’ve watched. Love the vid as always. Been thinking About adding to my arsenal to target bass and crappie anyways keep up Marsh man, and tight lines !!!!!!
Great video. I've been using the #4 H&H set-up and love fishing it. As I'm in a kayak I use it while moving from locations. On the video side - what is the housing you have on your chest rig? do you use the GoPro audio or an external mic? Thanks
I have to give Kevin Ford props for that. It's called a Refuel battery pack, and it lasts all day. I love it. Get one if you shoot a lot of GoPro video.
I love your videos. I've watched almost every video you've posted. My wife is from New Orleans so we visit alot and I go fish every chance I get. I would love to get a chance to fish with you. Keep up the great work
Looks like a great day an SAB I as well love finding my own fish I new water. I was also wondering were you launched from. I fish mostly in the Leeville are and I am always looking for new places to try. Keep the videos coming I love watching them and I keep bass all the time it is my wife’s favorite fish.
there are size limits in specific areas and lakes such as eagle lake, poverty point, false river, caddo lake, Toledo bend, and sabine river. You'll need to check the limits in those areas but everywhere else is no minimum size. We've always called 10" the "sportsman's limit".
Great video, I love to eat bass also. Don’t have a marsh exactly like where you are here in Galveston Bay. Do catch some way up clear creek out of clear lake.
Hey, the regulations allow you a certain number and size of bass.. you caught them it's your choice. Enjoy, they're very good to eat! They can do what they want to with theirs. Lots of love, happy fishing!
I don’t think there running out of bass in that area and it’s not like your local lake only 20% of them are going to get over 3 pounds and that’s not because people keep them
The man of the MARSHES 👍🏻🎣
Great video as always, I learn something everytime
Love the videos, keep em coming!
We have been smoking trout on top water in NC with water temps from 48 to 58 degrees. Never be scared to throw top water!

The H and H curly tail grub is looking awesome!

What’s the name of that paddle tail worm you used to use
When are you going to take me fishing in that beautiful Excel you got?
I noticed you've gotten a voice guy for the sponsors. Fancy! lol. Really dig your channel and so do my 3 sons. Keep em coming.
Wouldn’t disagree with that at all :-). Thanks for sharing brother have a good one!
You mentioned “Ternass”, for us guys that do not live around Louisiana, can you define what that is?
A trenasse is just a small cut into a body of water, basically a smaller, shallow stream draining into a larger, deeper one
Thumbs up for the Joy Behar reference!
How long is your boat?
18'
What kind and size hook you fishing with the stick bait?
4/0 extra wide gap
Good video.
Them little bass are good to eat.
Is there a size limit on Bass in Louisiana? Is it 12inches?
No size minimum
@@MarshManMasson thanks man.. I thought hole time had to be 12 inches.. Been throwin em back..lol

Why in the hell would keep the BASS!!!!! Release the bass!!!!!!
I DID!!!!! AFTER I FILLETED THEM!!!!
Why the hell wouldn’t you keep bass? They’re abundant, legal to keep and delicious. And why are we yelling!!!!!!!?
@@jonathanhoward5330 I guess you don't believe in catch and release :-(
