I met Fred one time about 15 years ago or so when I was a kid, it was at the majestic valley arena in Kalispell MT I was riding mini bulls and my parents and I seen him walking by the side hall and I went up and shook his hand and I believe he signed my hat. It was the first time I met a true star in the sport of rodeo, and he was a great man and very happy to stop and talk to some young kid. Never forgot it
EXACTLY! I was thinking the same thing! Joe Rogan is awesome. For musicians, it's Rick Beato. They know their stuff but they know when to shut up and when to speak up. Fred is a sweety, and deserves a better interview
Fred had a great avenue to keep him engaged and out of trouble. Although he did sway back towards going down the dark side, he realized it was not for him. Great story from another great interview. Never knew much about Fred but always liked watching him. Thanks! 😊😊
Nope. Glad to see who is in his podcast, but he disrupts too much and takes over instead of shutting the fu@k up and letting his guests finish what they're saying. He's too much about himself, imo
great episode! Fred is a real champ! i remember being in a gas station in cypress in the 90s and heard this country accent telling the cashier "yall aint got no shit paper in the mens room" i wasnt expecting it to be Fred Freaking Whitfield. The NFR was so much fun watching Fred and Cody!
Great interview with a great man. I grew up just a couple miles from where he grew up and my father was friends with Roy’s brother. My father always talked highly of Fred. FYI: If you want to have more great people from the rodeo world on, I suggest getting Clint Cannon on with you.
@@texaspatriot89 Wow the one with the horses? We lived in the big blue house on the corner of mystic bend and Jarvis in the late 80’s. My parents eventually bought 10 acres off of Jarvis & Cypress Valley that turned into a wedding venue, Cole’s Country. They sold when my dad retired but my parents & brother still live in Cypress.
I saw Fred compete at The Mesquite Rodeo several times and always enjoyed watching him. He is an excellent horseman, fun to watch, as well as, easy on the eyes (for those of us ladies who like manly men)!
If you’re gonna have a podcast you need to allow your guest to talk I love to listen but can’t stand you interrupting if I was Fred I would’ve got up and walked right out
I notice how Clinton has intentionally wanted to make sure he let him talk and has been working on having a better interview. It’s a mind shift to go from the one being interviewed and being the one who is always teaching others to the one asking the questions. I know you don’t need it but great job Clinton
He's a shitty interview. It sounds like he prefers to hear his own voice instead of listening intently and letting his guest finish speaking. Goddamn annoying is what he is.
The gentleman has such a kind and respectful voice. Clint you should mirror your words to your guests. If the guest isn’t popping off the f’bombs you should respect that and stop.
I came here looking to listen to Fred and got to listen to an arrogant Aussie talk about himself. Dude quit wasting peoples time podcasting….Just record yourself talking about how awesome you are.
Great episode, I would see him on the corner of 2920 and Mueshkee rd shootin’ the shit with the old dudes like AT Landcaster and such after dropping off his girls at school, i hope to get him to ride one of the horses ive trained someday 🤞🏼
Started watching and only made it to the part of Fred turning 21. I couldn’t stomach all the talking over and interruptions and straight up repetition of what Fred had already said himself. Not to mention, I’m not against profanity but my God, not every sentence needs the f-word.
Never heard of this channel. Came over here from a random Instagram reel. So glad to watch this podcast. Was what I needed to help me keep my head straight on this journey I'm on. Thank you for the reminder of having passion and work ethic.

Fred just about has his thoughts gathered and here comes Clint with the answer.
Bro let him talk!!! Dang
I've watch Fred's career for many years. What an amazing calf roper. This interview is wonderful. Another amazing podcast.
I think this is the best interview so far! I didn't know that much about Fred, and now I'm definitely fan!
I met Mr. Fred in Biloxi Ms. in the 90's real nice fellow he took time out to speak to us youngsters
Fred Whitfield is the real deal I miss him and Cody at Rodeo's. Love those guys.
Clinton needs to shut up and Let Fred talk!
Fred needs to go on JRE so we can hear his story…no podcaster listens better than Joe Rogan
EXACTLY! I was thinking the same thing! Joe Rogan is awesome.
For musicians, it's Rick Beato. They know their stuff but they know when to shut up and when to speak up.
Fred is a sweety, and deserves a better interview
Loved watching Fred at the rodeos on TV. The crowd loved him too. Awesome interview. So glad you had him on!
Always a fan of Fred. I was a senior in 91 and kept up with his success for a long time.
We were at the NFR the year Fred and Joe Beaver were going head-to-head. Damn that was good watching.
Great podcast but dam let the man talk you keep interrupting
This is the best interview this guy will ever have and all he's doing is interrupting Mr. Fred!! Wow!
Please let Mr. Fred talk.
Fred had a great avenue to keep him engaged and out of trouble. Although he did sway back towards going down the dark side, he realized it was not for him. Great story from another great interview. Never knew much about Fred but always liked watching him. Thanks! 😊😊
Best podcast out there!!! Clinton is the man. Fred Whitfield is a great guy!!! Thanks Clinton
Nope. Glad to see who is in his podcast, but he disrupts too much and takes over instead of shutting the fu@k up and letting his guests finish what they're saying. He's too much about himself, imo
The host needs to let the guy tell his story.
I have always been a fan of Fred's. I got to meet him and shake his hand, at a slack roping in Texas. Great guy.
great episode!
That was awesome. straight up honesty. Great insight from champions.
Man alive….. let the man talk FFS!!! every time fred is saying something interesting this dude completely derails him!
Great talk! Always pulled for Fred during his roping career! Great story!
I just ran across this podcast but I love both of you guys, because real shit is all I'm looking for. My life mimics y'alls
Fred is a badass through and through
Clinton every 5 minutes, “Do you train horses”?
I love Mr. Whitfield’s story! You should see if you could get Dougie Hall on the podcast. I would love to hear his story.
Love the interviews with folks in different disciplines!
Holy fuck this man pissed me off with all the interruptions and talking about himself this is Fred’s interview not his.
If you’re going to interview someone it’s up to you to get the information and background on who you’re going to interview.
Great interview with a great man. I grew up just a couple miles from where he grew up and my father was friends with Roy’s brother. My father always talked highly of Fred.
FYI: If you want to have more great people from the rodeo world on, I suggest getting Clint Cannon on with you.
We lived off of Jarvis right down the road from Moffit Oil! Cypress was SMALL back then!
@@lauraramsey905 yes it was. My family’s farm was at the corner of Jarvis and Telge.

I'm less than 10 minutes into this interview and so engaged.
This interview was so engaging. Great interview Fred and Clint! ❤
Fred deserved less interruption. Clinton is annoying
I saw Fred compete at The Mesquite Rodeo several times and always enjoyed watching him. He is an excellent horseman, fun to watch, as well as, easy on the eyes (for those of us ladies who like manly men)!
So good! I love these life stories!
Enjoyed this so much, thank you for all you do 💜
One thing about it… Clinton really does a good job, selecting outstanding guests!
He interrupts and talks too much. Happy to see Fred on this channel, but Clinton is bloody annoying
Dude, shut up and let your guest talk.
Fred needs to get interviewed by someone else so we can hear his story!
If you’re gonna have a podcast you need to allow your guest to talk I love to listen but can’t stand you interrupting if I was Fred I would’ve got up and walked right out

Sometimes Clinton interviews himself 😅 He is getting better at this format.
He's a shitty interview. It sounds like he prefers to hear his own voice instead of listening intently and letting his guest finish speaking. Goddamn annoying is what he is.
The Aussie seems like a great guy but he needs to let Fred talk. This is terrible how he keeps interrupting him.
Inside a winners mind! Love it
Best interview yet, loved it.
I love Fred!!!😊
The gentleman has such a kind and respectful voice. Clint you should mirror your words to your guests. If the guest isn’t popping off the f’bombs you should respect that and stop.
Great interview!!!
Great job, enjoyed
That was a wonderful interview.
Never knew him (Fred)but damn glad I do now great interview thanks for sharing
Clinton shut up and let him talk damn
Amen.
To be number one you gotta be a bit crazy. This goes for all walks of life! Great interview - cheers
Good interview
Such a cool and inspiring story
I came here looking to listen to Fred and got to listen to an arrogant Aussie talk about himself. Dude quit wasting peoples time podcasting….Just record yourself talking about how awesome you are.

Great interview and an awesome human being…👍👌
Shut up and let him talk!!!!
Let the man talk
Let him talk u interrupting 2 much. Boring everytime u talking
Four letter word
No kidding. That guy won’t shut up
It’s annoying. Let your guest speak.
I've noticed that a lot of comments echo the same sentiment. He interrupts and talks too much
It's cool because I was 2 years old in Cheyenne mr.fred you bought me my brother and sisters breakfast that morning
I really wanted to watch Mr. Whitfield, but the interviewer is intolerable with his narcissistic interruptions.
Exactly! I cuss, but this guy is over the top and making this about himself.
Thus was a good one
Extremely Exelent much love ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cody ohl should be your next guy y'all would get along great
You can't kill a pickle
Dude, shut up and let your guest talk. I don’t know how Fred didn’t get up and walk out on this interview.
Is he interviewing or just talking about himself.
Started watching and only made it to the part of Fred turning 21. I couldn’t stomach all the talking over and interruptions and straight up repetition of what Fred had already said himself. Not to mention, I’m not against profanity but my God, not every sentence needs the f-word.
Tom Epperson is a great guy
Never heard of this channel. Came over here from a random Instagram reel. So glad to watch this podcast. Was what I needed to help me keep my head straight on this journey I'm on. Thank you for the reminder of having passion and work ethic.
❤
Fred is the goat but this was a terrible interview.
It's because what's his name is always interrupting
Damn stop over talking him
REAGAN is a bad example
Lay off the bad language. Get some discipline in that regard.
No one wants to hear what he has to say
That's bull shit. Fred is an amazing man!!!!
Sounds like your bitter loser
Haters are gonna hate. So stop hating!!!
Stop please
Stop what?
