I did talk about that slot and that might work, but you should have made a video to show people how to do it though, I think that would have helped

I am in Australia and I have the UK version of the car(Right Hand drive) 2005 Scenic II J84 Dynamique. I am finding that the air conditioner does not work for the drivers side, and the heater is blowing slower for my side than the passenger side. Could this possibly be a fault resistor?

      Hi,
sorry for the late reply. I cannot say with utmost certainty that the resistor is the problem but it is very likely. It actually could be fan itself but they are all related. My best advised would be to get it diagnosed then you will know for sure. If it turns out to be the resistor, then you know exactly how to fix it. Good luck!

I still have the faulty one that was replaced. I will have a look at the number and put it up on here when I get home.

If you are abit short of time, just plain lazy like me, or have a car which is old and you are not too precious about it, you can remove the digital dash area, (the surround pops out, and just a couple of screws) and you see a small gap slightly to the right.. in there to the left is resistor screwed in.. see the wires going into a plastic block... this is held on with a small torx screw.. its the resistor for the heater.
One guy off youtube was able to remove it just like this but I had to drill out abit of the plastic panel, (this panel is hidden behind the digital dash so will not be visible when you put it back together...) . Its abit fiddley , and you can not cut too much of the panel out as you will cut into the air vent tunnel to the windscreen... ALSO DON'T CUT THE BRACKET FOR THE DIGITAL DASH !!
You will see what I mean if you feel around..
Anyway..you can then remove the resistor without taking off the whole dash... Took me about 10mins.. I cut the hole with a drill... Be carefull not to damage any wires etc..
Just a thought... I am not recommending this method, but this is how I did it..
    Regards..
PS. I beleive the part number is F657165W
