Unfourtunately, as a Chinese, I must say that there are nothing socialist about China after 1992, which is after Deng's southern tour. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union which advocated for a neo-liberal economic line of mass privatisation of national industries, which resulted in millions of skilled urban workers (espicially in the Dongbei, or North east region of China) becoming essentially unemployed. In terms of agriculture, Deng dismantaled the alliance between workers and peasents advocated by Mao and introduced a policy which reversed China's collective farms (People's Communes), a collective socialist economy, into a small peasent economy which existed in China since it's feudalist times. This, coupled with the allowance of open expolitation of workers by the bourgeois allowed the revived new bourgeois class in China to complete their primitive accumulation of capital and become the leading class of China, turning her into bourgeois dictatorship. China's special conditions, the revivial of the capitalism while the “Communist Party' is still the leading party, gave birth to a new bureaucratic bourgeois class, which originated from the intervention of Communist party officials to sell off national assets or privatise them for their on intrests. Political cliques based on family lineage reappeared. Deng's family for example, is still one of the richest families in China to this day. Due to the nature of China's dictatorship by the bureaucratic bourgeois, the bourgeois (ones not in the CCP) must cooperate with them in a mutual agreement not to attempt political liberalisation. China under Xi still follow's Deng's doctrine of mainly focusing on supressing the left revolutionary force in China as a priority and the suppression of bourgeois liberalisation comes second. To divert the attention of the Chinese mass working class from struggling for their basic rights, the Xi administrated introduced a nationalist, almost fascist propganda promoting 'the great rejuvenation of the chinese nation' which is clearly a nationalist rhetoric, not a socialist one.
If you think Xi is a Fascist, you should read what Lenin said during the Russian Civil War and what the USSR published under Stalin. Or what Sun Yat-Sen said in his speeches that were promoted under Mao. Sun Yat-Sen said China should adopt “racial ethno-nationalism”, “the Han race is the definition of China” and “we are the most superior race”. Is that “nationalist rhetoric” or is that the good old “socialist rhetoric”?
@@wabakoen5548 Mao and communists specifically went against the Han chauvinism of Sun's speeches. They recognized he was limited by his bourgeois outloook.

Educational video on Democratic Kampuchea should be out by the end of the week. Feel free to follow our twitter accounts or join our telegram group which is more active.
Very informative video Comrade! We should apply MZT to our nations and advance forward not as China, but WITH China. Comrade Deng certainly couldn’t fill the void that the great Helmsman left with his passing, but he did a pretty good job nonetheless and China today is the proof of that. I would like to make a request, an analysis of Comrade Hua Guofeng and his policy in his time in office, though short, but I think important.
"Politics is the concentrated expression of economics" -Lenin I think your understanding of Mao's thought, socialist transition and political economy is incorrect. The GPCR was an attempt to keep the revisionists from coming to power and restoring capitalism, which is exactly what happened. Labor-power was recommodified, and the breaking up of the communes was also the dismantling of the worker-peasant alliance; just to take a few examples. The key to the whole process is class struggle (economic/politics/ideological). It took a while and is still an ongoing process, perhaps China will get back on the socialist road before we have another fall of the USSR type event. I might make a response video, but until then you should check out Pao-Yu Ching's work (Rethinking Socialism or From Victory to Defeat) and The Shanghai Textbook of Political Economy.

There is nothing but word-salad and misrepresentations of Marxism to defend modern China as socialist. If you’re looking for stats and policies that show that China is no longer socialist but has taken the capitalist road to the point where they now represent a major capitalist-imperialist power, check out “Is China an Imperialist Power?” by N.B. Narrow observations and wrong conclusion, but at this point I can’t be bothered to leave lengthy rebuttals……
I've kind of felt for a while that modern China is more of an example of a successful fascist state than a socialist one.

A mature Maoist's take, indeed.
