    For the lower playing, it's more about the scale, and getting the right tension and feel. 6 string guitars can't do that. You'd really have to play both to understand.

    @guitarhead911 Ive used marshal combo in combination with Randall stacks to add to the "complexity" of a heavy guitar tone in the bast. when the two amps are mixed and EQed properly it creates a great sound.

    There isn't necessarily any difference between a 6-string or 7-string guitar when it comes to downtuning. The 7-stringed guitars Korn (and other bands) used in the late 90s had the same 25,5" scale length as a normal Strat. The main thing is that 7-string guitars have more intonation range on the bridge saddles. That's basically the main problem you can get on a 6-string guitar, as sometimes the bridge saddle can't be adjusted for the low tuning. However this depends on the individual guitar..

    @flyguyty33 you can get them for around $599.99, for the cheaper model, but the RG7321 isn't a baritone the RGD7321 and the RGD7320 are, they have a 26.5 inch neck

    change how he voiced his chords. He was able to play new inversions. By the way. I accidently touched post and realized that my auto correct made my word "their" to "there" no need for retaliation on that one. People like Zakk Wylde, Dime, and Jim Root play 6 strings because it feels more natural to them. They don't need a 7th in the bass. People like Head have been playing a 7 string and became accustomed to it. No need to pick on some one for grammatical errors. I'm sure I have plenty in my

  • @HardlineAthiest
    @HardlineAthiest 11 лет назад

    In English, "usually" doesn't equate to "never," as you emphatically surmise.
    I've seen Head hit higher notes time and again, so having a 7 string guitar for the occasional high note is one of convenience, not some outlandish musical fauxpas.
    The extra strings are there and accessible when and where needed, so what?
    I guess you just don't understand, whatever, to each his own I say.

    Nice!! Only 4 takes to get that simple 3 powerchord progression just shows how talented korn is!

    • @SUNIKIGAMING
      @SUNIKIGAMING 10 лет назад +14

      Wait.. you came to this to hate on a member of korn doing his side projected? I guess having no life is having no life right?
      He was tracking some melody parts on the spot trying out different things, if you think this 1:39 video was him literally recording the song you are a clown.
      He has something more important than raw guitar talent, he is a musician who can create memorable melodies. Even jack offs who hate on korn mouth mock the bands song Blinds 4!!! power chord main riff.
      Just listen to what you want instead of insulting a band with a dwindling fan base lol.

  • @Tankwylde
    @Tankwylde 11 лет назад

    HardlineAthiest, seriously? You point out grammatical flaws of someone just sharing their opinion concerning a 7 string guitar. First off, "you're" is a conjunction joining the words "you" and "are". I believe you were looking for the word "your" which is a noun that pertains to ownership. So "your" channel seems more appropriate than "you are" channel. Secondly a seven string guitar has nothing to do with "fret real estate". Steve Vai, who revived the popularity of the seven string, did so to
